With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Frankie never thought she’d be going on a date with Rose Granger-Weasley, but here they were talking about what to do for a date because ROSE asked her out. The moment Frankie had said yes, she was beyond nervous about it because this was all she wanted. The girl feared that she was going to screw this up, that she’d make a move and Rose would hate her for it. But she had hid the nervousness well enough, masking it with a smile of her own as Rose told her it’s too cold for a picnic. Well duh, but it was the redhead’s idea for one. That’ll be something for the future. Wait, did she agree to a future date?
Don’t panic, Frankie. Just get a move on. ”Of course I’m okay with having dinner with you.” she said, grinning a bit. ”I must admit, I wanted to do that with you recently but the disaster at the dance changed my mind.” she said, giving Rose a smile.

There she was, seated in a comfortable chair with her crush by her side as now.. her date. Rose was actually quite happy about it but instead of showing her excitement like the child she actually is, her mother always taught her to be more conserved about her emotions and because of her mother's teachings she'd been more adult about them. (except anger but we don't talk about that.) Rose had dared to ask her best friend out, no matter the fact that she is older or the fact that when Frankie was done, Rose still had two years to go in the future.
Those were things to worry about later. "The dance did ruin all chances of romance we could have gotten." she admitted and was quite upset about it. My dress was ruined too." she said with a small pout. Rose wanted it all, romance, first kiss and it was all taken from her because of bloody activists causing havoc and ruining her beautiful dress. "Do you think there will be any future dances with what happened at this one?" she asked curiously.

Frankie was disappointed when the dance was attacked by fellow classmates and she wanted to express her anger but she wasn’t one to get angry. Instead she can remember keeping Rose safe, even if the dress in question was ruined. It bothered her that their first date ended in disaster. Frankie was planning on making a move that evening but then decided against it after what had happened. She didn’t want to risk the friendship she had with Rose. But at least now their feelings was admitted, she was actually a little happy about it all.
”But at least you made it out without injury. That’s a plus. The dress can be repaired or whatever.” she stated and looked at her friend, her crush and date. This was pretty new to her and she was afraid she might mess it up. ”I don’t think they will…” she trailed off.

Rose was really not happy about what happened to her dress that night because it was supposed to be their night. She might be thirteen but she had dreams, she had ideas of what the perfect romantic story would be and she wanted to be in a story like that. The redhead knew Frankie was older than her and sure they would go through struggles when they approach the newer school years but she wasn't going to battle those thoughts right now. She wasn't going to feed her insecurities more means to get her screwed over.
"Yes I wasn't hurt thankfully." she admitted though she was quite bitter about her dress still. Then Frankie said that she doesn't think there would be future dances and that did make Rose a bit more sad but at least they had each other and they could dance in their dorms instead. "I will organize a dance then, a secret dance." she said with a nod. Rose could organize parties like the best of them, they just had to wait and see.
Frankie wasn’t ashamed of her crush on Rose, and she would punch anyone who would say that dating a second year was disgusting. The girl liked Rose, nothing was going to stop her from going out with the redhead unless something terrible happened. But she wasn’t going to let anything bad happen, she didn’t want to ruin things as soon as they start. They had a few years to enjoy themselves before Frankie’s seventh year. Oh, god. She was thinking into the future, something she hated doing. The future was uncertain. What would Rose’s parents think of her? Would they tell her to leave their daughter alone? Stay away from her? Frankie needed to put her fear away before she panicked again.
”A dance? For us? Maybe we do a Gryffindor house only dance?” she asked and raised an eyebrow at the thought. Replay the night of the dance. Maybe have an older student stand guard so no one would be stupid enough to attack innocent students.

Rose was going to fight tooth and nail for this relationship because this was her crush. The girl she crushed on the moment Rose realized she could even do such a thing. With a happy sigh the redhead thought about them dating, the fun things they could do. Maybe Rose could take her to the park and they could ride the swan boats or the ferry. Rose could even go to the carnival with Frankie and things would be okay because her parents didn't need to know about any of it.
"A gryffindor only dance.." she pondered, her finger tapping her bottom lip as she pursed them. That wasn't such a bad idea actually. "Maybe we could go to the room of requirement.. no one will be there to bother us!" she offered and already had so many ideas to plan this when she should be thinking about Christmas and the presents. "I'll show everyone how a dance should be organized, now do we want a theme or not?" she asked Frankie as she sat there thinking.
