With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Sometimes all a girl needed was to take a walk especially after some boys tried being boys and messed with her good mood. Now Rose was in the mood for chaos and chaos was only achieved when she was able to think.. she couldn't think with loud boys to make her mood even worse. Rose enjoyed the fresh air against her pale skin as she walked on the lawns reading a letter from her mother telling her she'd be picking her up with her father from Hogsmeade this Christmas.
Rose's red locks danced on her shoulders as she walked, her eyes on the letter. It was reassuring that her parents were going to pick her up, she'd need them to keep her sane as much as possible. There was no way she could tell them about her.. preferences. Rose folded the letter up and slipped it into the pocket of her jacket. The redhead was still afraid to tell her mother and her father that she liked girls.
Even when they lived in the 21st century the whole deal was still very big and scary. Rose looked around and smiled when she saw a fellow redhead not far from herself. "Archiekins!" she said and waved at him with a smile on her face.

Archie was born and bred in Scotland, from his accent to the Gaelic language his mother had ensured he grew up learning to being able to bear the brutally cold and snowy Scottish winters. Very rarely did a winter come and go in Scotland without snowfall and this year was no different. As the Ravenclaw boy wandered across the lawns he kicked the fresh layer of snow around that had settled over night, his red hair a stark contrast against the white powder. Not many people ventured out of the castle in this weather, especially now that the Hogsmeade visits had been put on hold. Some students risked the odd snowball fight here and there but mostly everyone stayed indoors, except for one second year girl apparently.
“Rosie…” He mentally grimaced at the sound of Archiekins being called across the school yard, though it was better than some nicknames he had had over the years. Though he wasn’t in the habit of correcting pretty girls; she could call him whatever she wanted. They weren’t close persay, Rose was in Ainsley’s year and house, that was the main reason they knew each other. Whenever Archie dropped by the Gryffindor Tower to drop some baked goodies off for Ainsley generally everyone else flocked to him as well.

Rose wasn't the perfect goodie two shoes but when it came to Archie and his goodies she would put up her angel facade for as long as she had to. The girl adored him and his sister because they were her friends and gingers should stick together right? The last bit was a joke but Rose saw a point in it. She turned to Archie with her smile still on her face as she approached him. He was one of the few people beside her parents who called her Rosie, she didn't mind it made her sound less like an old lady.
"How disappointing but then again I wouldn't expect you to bake me anything." she was friends with his sister and she often shared the goods but Rose wasn't going to ask the boy to make her anything. How weird would that be? Her eyes were on the other redhead and her red lips were still curled up in her angelic smile. "How are you? Ready for the holidays Archiekins?" she asked as she looked around.
"You haven't seen a bunch of Gryffindor boys have you?"
