With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Oswald would spend a lot of money on the girl he loves because he honestly loved her from the moon and back. He had bought this ring to make a promise to her, to show that he loved her and that she can trust him entirely. He might be an asshole to some, but she made his softer side come out, made him more human and he loved her for it. He wanted to make her world better, he wanted to marry this girl one day once he did the one thing that he feared the most. This gift had made him even more nervous, made his heart skipped several beats.
”This gift is a promise ring. A promise for the future. One day I’m going to be asking your father for your hand. Sure, I might be eighteen and about to graduate from school with my whole future ahead of me. But Chelsea, you’re my future, my present. I’m so sure. You make me happy every time we write and one day I want to call you my wife.” he admitted with a huge smile.
Romance was something Chelsea read about in books all the time. The sweetest and deepest novels never seemed to capture the reality though of it all. Romance was for so many people just a story, a desire to have for themselves but Chelsea lived in that novel, she lived in the romance she desired to have for years. Of course in school she was pursued by boys and girls alike but none of them really gave her what she desired, the romance she truly wanted. Romantic boys were so rare and who knew that the boy she'd be dating was the romantic boy she'd be dreaming off?
Cheesy? Perhaps, but to Chelsea this was her novel and she was living in its beautiful moments. "A promise?" she asked as she slid the ring around her finger. The silver looked so shiny, the stones like little mirrors. "My father will love you." she said and looked at Ozzy, a smile still on her face. "I will cherish this ring with everything I have, I promise." she told him before pulling Ozzy in a sweet kiss. She had totally forgotten about the other presents, the breakfast and the kittens.
Chelsea had been sucked up into the moment and it showed in every way. "Mmm oh breakfast!" she said and let out a giggle. "Oh how silly of me."
If someone were to look at this moment, they’d think Oswald Tyrell had severe brain damage. They’d ask how could he be so romantic to one girl and an asshole to everyone else? Even though Ozzy would admit that he had bullied people over the years, he was trying to change for the better because Chelsea made him want to be a better man. And he wanted his father to forgive him for what happened to his brother, for letting Peter go into the woods alone and breaking the promise he had for many years. Oswald wanted to forgive himself, to do whatever it took to get his brother home.
But in this moment, he was just a boy in love and a boy who wanted to spend every moment with the girl he fell in love with. Sure, he had Morgan and Ryker in the past, but Chelsea was always the one that made him soft. Made him act more human. He loved her for it, loved her for allowing him to have her heart.
Ozzy kissed her back, not wanting to let her go and chuckled when she mentioned breakfast. ”Breakfast can wait. Dance with me?”
Chelsea knew about his reputation when she was in school with him. He was quite the tough guy but when he was with her he wasn't so tough at all. She believed he was a good person and he didn't prove her wrong at all. The things that happened to his brother broke Ozzy's heart and heartbreak often toughens people up. Chelsea hated seeing him hurt and when he told her what happened she remembered the tears in his eyes, the pain in his voice and the guilt in his entire presence. She couldn't imagine her own father hurting her heart like that when something happened along those lines.
Her family was quite rich and distant but her parents loved her, they always have. They never once abandoned one of their own. The blonde looked at Ozzy when he told her he wanted to dance rather than eat and she just wrapped her arms around him with a smile. "Let's dance then." She was going to wait for him to take the lead, she wanted to enjoy this moment and dancing with her boyfriend was one of the things she loved the most.
It might be cheesy or lame but she wished she was at school, to dance with him at the ball before things went down south. "I love dancing, I used to be in a dance club when I was in Hogwarts." she admitted a bit.
Oswald promised himself that things would get better for him and his family, he needed to believe it. Yes, his father had hurt him emotionally because of what happened to Peter. His father was the reason Oswald refused to be at home during the Christmas holidays like he used too every year. It was different because everything was so messed up at home and Samuel Tyrell was a drunk because of what happened. There was a rumor that the business was going under with the way his father was running things now. It bothered Oswald, but he wasn’t going to let that ruin his Christmas with his girlfriend.
There was a smile on Ozzy’s face when Chelsea agreed to dance with him and he nodded. It made him happy to be this close to her with clothes on, or mostly clothing covering their bodies. ”Oh, I know. I kinda peeked in at one point.” he said and started swaying with her in his arms. It was hard to dance without music.
”I learned to dance from my father and…..his many weddings helped my dancing skills…”
Chelsea's family was quite the opposite from Ozzy's. Her parents had been married for so long she hardly remembered how long it was. Her brothers were happy in their own way and she truthfully believed that they will find happiness in a partner of their own one day as well. She always was shown kindness no matter what she did and one day when she was old enough her father was going to let her run her own book store, one she would feel at home in. She already asked him to have one in London and her father already got a deal for a store building.
This was the future she had wanted for herself, just her own store and her boyfriend by her side. Chelsea looked at Ozzy with her blue eyes, her lips curled up in a smile as they started dancing without music. With a wave of her hand she switched on the radio, Christmas music playing softly on the background. That would make dancing so much easier. "You did? Why didn't you tell me!" she said with a blush on her cheeks. If he were there she would've danced with him during the dance club meetings.
"I only went to one wedding, it was my brother's." she admitted, her parents were already married when she was born. She looked at Ozzy and kissed his jaw as she danced with him.
