With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Okay, classes were done that day, and Charlie wanted to spend time with her girlfriend without people bothering them. For some reason she didn't get much privacy with her due to having a sibling in every damn corner of the castle. Last thing she wanted was for her siblings to give her looks because she was being sappy to her girlfriend. They hadn't been dating long, and it was still surprising to Charlie that she did in fact have a girlfriend. Charlie had a boyfriend once before but it was short lived because she had no idea what she was doing, and he was getting tired of her not wanting to go beyond making out. To her there was more to a relationship than taking your clothes off to have more fun.
Gemini was special, and she didn't want to ruin it by being pushy or even too clingy, but too be fair, she was clingy. Charlie would be lying if she said she wasn't jealous when she saw Gemini dancing with another girl. She was, and it showed for a few minutes before she had calmed down when she danced with the girl. Last thing she wanted was to lose someone else she cared about.
There was a note lying on her girlfriend's pillow in her dorm to meet Charlie on the lawns to spend some time if she wasn't busy.
Charlie had hugged herself as she looked up at the sky, letting out a tiny shudder at the cold air. Good thing she had her jacket on.
It was nice to have some fresh air.
"Why does it have to be so cold?" she mumbled to herself.
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
Gemini had a pretty cool classes today and she had found her father, greeted him before heading for the dorm. Gemini wanted to get dressed into something more comfortable. The brunette headed towards her bed and found a note from Charlie. Her heart skipped a beat and no she didn't tell her father about her girlfriend because Gemini hadn't even come out to her family yet.
She just wanted to have a good time with Charlie before she would even try to tell her brothers and father. With a skip in her step Gemini headed outside to find Charlie. It was actually pretty cold and she forgot to put on a jacket but she didn't care, Charlie was worth it.
With a smile she found the pink haired girl easily and headed over to her to hug her. "Hey! I found your note!" she said with a grin.
Charlie had wanted to spend some one on one time with her girlfriend instead of giving her looks across the classroom. While in the classroom, she’d focus on her school work or the drawing she was doing while one of the teachers talk about a lesson. Sometimes she’d be screwed whenever the teacher would call on her, and she’d have to come up with a random answer. She knew she had to stop with not paying much attention in class, and she was finding it hard not to pull out her sketchbook. Life was hard when it came to this artist. All she wanted was to bury herself in her sketchbook.
The female had blown into her hands as she waited for Gemini, hopping on her feet and she looked toward the castle, seeing her girlfriend move forward. The sight of her made her all warm and fuzzy inside, making her smile happily as she eyed her.
”Hey!” she said, pulling on her arm so she can hug her. ”You forgot your jacket…”
I will tiptoe down that line but I will feel unstable
Gemini didn't like the cold much but the one thing she loved about winter was the color of the trees. They would have this beautiful glow of silver on them and when the sun goes up it would sparkle ever so beautifully. The girl with her curly dark locks hugged her girlfriend close, her warmth actually made her feel good and her stomach felt so funny whenever she saw Charlie.
In classes she would look at her sometimes even stare but Charlie tried not to do the same. She would watch her draw sketches in her sketchbook and it was simply adorable and more of a reason for Gemini to stare at her girlfriend.
"I know I didn't mean to." she chuckled a bit and kissd her cheek. "I actually didn't care, I just wanted to see you because of the note." she said and held it out with a smile.
"How are you? I haven't seen you much since the dance! Do you feet still hurt? We danced a lot didn't we?" Gemini had a smile that wouldn't fade on her face.

Charlie had wrapped her girlfriend in her arms, not wanting her to catch a cold and kissed the top of her head. No jacket? No problem. Charlie was tall and had long arms that can just wrap around her girlfriend easily. This was a positive thing due to some people not being able to reach things off the top shelf, and would ask Charlie for help. Sometimes she had been called a freak for her height at her age but she didn’t care much what others had to say. So while she hugged her girlfriend, she rested her chin on her head with a smile before the hug was broken so she can take the note Charlie had left her.
She eyed the sloppy handwriting, and chuckled softly as folded it, putting it in her jacket. ”I’m fine. Feet are still a little sore but they’re healing, thankfully.” she said as she moved to take off her jacket, putting it around Gemini with a sweet smile. ”How are you?”
Being hugged by Charlie just brought butterflies to Gem's stomach. She felt so good being around her, her heart fluttering every single time. Gemini was never bothered by being in love with a girl, she loved who she loved and gender didn't matter to her because Charlie made her happy. She played with a lock of her pretty pink hair and just gave her one of her wicked smiles as she felt the jacket put on her shoulders.
"I am not cold I swear." she assured her but she knew it was pointless. Gemini looked at Charlie with a smile, her hands taking her girlfriend's. "Are you sure you won't be cold now? You can get cold too!" she assured her and squeezed Charlie's hands a little. Gemini looked at Charlie and bit her lip.
"Are you sure your feet are okay? We can go to the kitchens and sit down? Maybe have a warm drink?" she offered. "So why did you need to see me?"
Charlie loved the way her girlfriend rambled, hearing her speak calmed her down a bit whenever Charlie was feeling a bit anxious for whatever reason. The young girl was still worried over the things that had happened at the dance, and she wanted to check on her sister but knew Olivia had a boyfriend to fuss over her. The moment everything that had happened at the dance, she realized she didn’t go one minute more without telling Gemini how much she meant to her or even show her. Their dance was interrupted but the disaster that happened, and she even wanted to do the one thing she had been wanting. Kissing her girlfriend.
”I’ll live.” she said with a small chuckle as she moved a lock of Gem’s hair behind her ear. The young Hufflepuff always got lost when she looked at the other girl in the eyes, and it made her stomach do flips. ”My feet will be fine. I’ve been sitting all day.” she said softly, her arms wrapping around her. ”I just wanted to see you. We haven’t really spoken much after the disaster at the ball.” she said softly and gave her a smile.
”And I wanted to do one thing that I wanted to do that night…” she said, moving a hand under her chin and slowly moved to brush her lips against hers softly.
The ball had ended tragically and in all the panic all Gem could think about was if her girlfriend was hurt. She didn't even think about her brothers because they were big and strong but Charlie, she was special to Gem and she wanted to keep her safe even when Gemini knew she wasn't the strongest or brightest witch either. The brunette looked at her girlfriend with her puppy eyes.
"Are you sure? I can give you a foot rub! I do them very well." she said and gave Charlie one of her brightest smiles. "The ball was so scary, I am sorry I clung onto you like that. I didn't want to let you go and get hurt." she said with a blush on her cold cheeks. It was then that Charlie came closer to Gemini herself and she remembered how she gave Charlie a quick kiss without even thinking.
Her mind decided to go numb this time again and without thinking Gemini leaned in closer to Charlie to kiss her lips with her own.
The disaster at the ball scared Charlie to death, and she was thankful that Gem was clinging onto her while hell broke loose because she had heard her sisters yells. The girl knew that if her girlfriend didn’t grab onto her the way she did, she would have put herself in danger. Family meant everything to her, and she wanted to keep them safe. Now that the ball was over with, and the danger was no longer around, she wanted to spend every waking moment with Gemini. Kissing her was something she wanted to do that night, and she was thankful no one was attacking the outdoors right then. She would hex whoever dared to interrupt them.
So Charlie had kissed her, and she stayed like that for several moments before breaking the kiss to look at her. To admire the beauty in front of her, and she moved her lips to her forehead while she held her close to her. ”I’m so thankful you weren’t harmed that evening. I’m thankful that you kept your arms around me like that.” she said as she kept her lips against her head.
Gemini thought the dance had a very scary ending but she had to be brave for herself, for her girlfriend and to show everyone that she wasn't a scaredy cat even when she was a soft bean. The brunette was well aware that the people who attacked were protecting the werewolves and it wasn't doing them any favors. Her family hates wolves and Gemini had always been neutral but she thought they were scary either way.
The kiss felt funny but nice. Her lips were soft and tasted sweet like candy but no flavor was made like it. The girl was a little dizzy after the kiss. Gemini smiled a bit after the kiss was broken. She wanted more smooches like it, it was fun. Now she understood why Viola wanted to kiss people so bad. "I'm glad you were safe too and close to me. I heard your sister yelling and when I checked up on people in the hospital wing she was getting her arm fixed."
Gemini wrapped her arms around Charlie in a hug. She wanted to stay with her. "What are you doing for the holidays?"
Charlie was angry that the dance had ended so badly, and it had caused her sister pain. Part of Charlie wanted to get her hands on those students that decided to mess with everyone’s evening, but she knew she could get herself in trouble if she had. Instead, she had kept close to her girlfriend, wanting to protect her from harm. Charlie could still feel the grip her girlfriend had on her that night, and from that evening; she wanted to protect her. She would die before she let anyone hurt her, and she didn’t care if the Avery’s hated on her. Charlie had no idea why David hated them so much, but she was going to stay out of that drama.
Her thoughts were soon interrupted by her girlfriend’s voice, and she snapped out of it with a tiny smile.. ”I’m staying here at the castle. I don’t feel like putting up with the Jones army. Table would be packed if I went home. I’ll be sending Christmas cards out to my older siblings. Gonna have David and Mia sign them.” she said with a shrug.
