With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Ciar nodded as he stood up to get her another drink, and taking both the glasses back to the bar with a tiny smile. He ordered a couple of more, the bartender giving him an amused look and he just smirked in return. Okay, he was a guy that fooled around with girls at bars all the time, or even some fans during an aftermatch party. Lately he hadn’t been in the mood, maybe it was because of his ex writing him and telling him that it was his child’s birthday is coming up, and he highly doubt it was his kid.
The male gave the bartender a nod once the drinks were poured, returning to the table and placed the new glass down in front of her before taking a seat. ”I played in school, and now I’m playing for my favorite team. My brother also plays by my side.” he said with a tiny smile. ”What about you? What do you do?”
Killy gave Ciar a smile while he went to go get them more drinks. The young girl patiently waited for him to return, apart of her was hoping that she didn't get played or something like that, Killy wanted to be able to have a nice night with this guy but she couldn't if he made a run for it. When Ciar returned back to the table with their drinks, Killy happily accepted. "Thank you, you're very kind Ciar" she didn't know if he got that a lot but it was the truth in that moment.
When he talked about school and how he played Quidditch Killy nodded. "Well at least you get to play for the team you love, that is always a good thing in life, doing something that you love and not something you hate. Also for me I am a receptionist at St. Mungos" Killy responded.
Ciar wasn’t someone to stand someone up, he wasn’t one to leave a woman hanging because he was taught to treat women with respect. Sure, his history of pleasing and sleeping with the ladies was frowned upon by some but he was only human. The male had a lot of talents besides Quidditch, and he wasn’t going to brag about it. Once he had gotten comfortable in his seat after she had thanked him and told him he was kind, he gave her the biggest grin. Was he kind? He would believe so.
The grin stayed as she explained her job, and he nodded a bit. He respected receptionists at St. Mungos because they dealt with impatient people at times and he’s been told that they kept it together most of the time. ”Sounds fun. Hope no one gives you a hard time. I’ve heard you guys would deal with not so nice people at times.”
Killy took a sip of her drink and when he talked about her job and how he heard how she could get some not so nice customers, she couldn't help but snort a little bit at how rude and horrible people could be. She wasn't a doctor or a nurse, she was simply a receptionist just in charge of signing people in. "Well let's just say that people aren't all that pleasant. Sometimes they think I can move things along faster but I am simply in charge of signing people in and out and stuck with a lot of paper work" Killy replied.
"Believe me I love my job, but there definitely are some down sides to it all" she exclaimed. Killy took another sip of her drink.
When Ciar was in Hogwarts, he hated to do homework and would sometimes ask someone to help him with it. Sure, he could do the work and stuff but he wanted to play the game more than write things down in classes. He knew damn well paperwork wasn’t a fun part of the job for Killy. Paperwork could be annoying, and the thought just reminded him of the days during Hogwarts. ”Well, I can’t judge you for that. I’m not one to deal with people.” he said with a smile.
Killy sipped her drink before finishing it completely. She didn't always drink but when she did drink she wanted to have some sort of fun. With working and dealing with her family dramatics when she had time off work she always tried to at least let go of herself in the clubbing kind of way. Killy couldn't help but laugh when he said he wasn't one for dealing with people. "I didn't think I was either but I love my job, there are some down perks with the job and what not but I wouldn't want it any other way" she exclaimed. St. Mungos took a chance on her and she was happy for it.
Ciar was impressed with the way she downed the drink he had ordered her, and he had taken a large gulp for himself as he listened to her. He placed the mug back down on the table, his hand still on the handle as he thought about different careers. ”The only people I deal with are my teammates, and well, gorgeous women like you.” he said, giving her a wink with a smirk and picked the mug and downed the rest of his beverage. Alcohol was good, and he knew his limits at times. He wasn’t one to get completely wasted even though it was tempting.
Killy couldn't help but blush when it came to him complimenting her about her beauty. She knew she was pretty but she never went around saying she was gorgeous or what not, but when she heard it from other people she couldn't help but feel honored? She didn't know but Killy accepted the compliment. "Why thank you, you are handsome yourself" Killy replied like it was natural. She did love to flirt and she couldn't help it when it came to handsome guys like the one right in front of her. Killy looked around her before looking back at Ciar in front of her. "So do you have any siblings?" She asked curiously?
Ciar had leaned back in his seat, his hands hugging the cup and he had smiled a bit as he had been called handsome. Okay, that was nothing new to him. Usually he would let it get to his head, and he’d just find himself in bed with anyone who was willing to put up with him. When he was asked if he had siblings, he had given her a smile and nodded. ”Oh, yes. I have five brothers, and one sister.” he had said as he thought about how big his family was. How they used to bicker at the dinner table every holiday but lately there’s been silence whenever he would go to his mothers. ”And we all love Quidditch.” he said with a chuckle. ”My oldest brother was supposed to meet me here tonight but I’ve been stood up.”
Killy was kind of stunned when he talked about how he had a lot of brothers and one sister. Killy nodded her head and couldn't help but giggle a bit. "I bet you and your brothers are very protective of your sister and it must drive her absolutely insane" Killy had two siblings as well but she also knew that whenever her older siblings got in her business she got extremely angry and always threw a fit about it. When he talked about his older brother was supposed to meet him there Killy grinned and nodded. "Well how late is your brother then? Because I would love to be your company for the night if he doesn't show up. That is if you can keep up and handle me" Killy flirted. He was definitely a handsome guy and she wouldn't mind getting her fun in.
