With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Cooper wanted to get some fresh air, because the common room had been far too boring. And it got tiring to look at the lake every second of the day. Even if the view was beautiful. The Slytherin had decided that he would get the fresh air by jogging. Something he found had kept him in shape, and made him feel good. Which was important to Cooper.
The Slytherin went for a jog by the lake, and had found himself doing the last lap around the courtyard. And while jogging, he felt his shoulder bump with someone. It caused him too shoot a glare, and he asked. "Watch where you're going. Could have really hurt someone." he said in annoyance.

A tower of books. It was hardly surprising to see the young lady used Wingardrium Leviosa to bring them out to enjoy a bit of reading. She could be quite indecisive when she went to the library, but a few on dragonology and the wizarding wars seemed like the ticket for today-- or at least they were her go-to's when nothing else struck her fancy immediately. She walked along, concentrated on not making a mess... Moving quite slowly, mind you, mutter a few excuse me's politely along the way... But did that save her an grief?
Well, of course not.
She was keeping her concentration as she came around a statue only to collide with a young man, knocking her a bit off-kilter. However, she was quick to steady herself. However, it didn't save the books. She tried to catch the pile to no avail as she unintentionally let out a few curse words in Hungarian. Oops. Well, at least he wasn't a professor or... Knew Hungarian.. She assumed?
She furrowed her brows as he immediately jumped the gun, scolding her. "To be fair, it takes two people lacking full attention to collide like that, " She retorted, " So while I may be partially to blame, youre just as guilty, " She remarked, smoothing her robes before she started picking up the books. She knew who the boy was. After all they'd been in the same school and same year all this time, even if they were in different houses.
Cooper did not like to admit that he was ever wrong in any situation. Mainly, because he considered himself to be superior to the average person. So the person that would obviously be blamed in this situation was the other party, and he was shooting a glare at that person. Even if she was a girl and in his mind attractive, but Cooper wasn't going to admit he was wrong.
"Well you were the one not paying attention, and if we were honest I was the victim here." he said with a snare, "You were the one too focused to watch where you were going, and I was just jogging." he said with an egotistical smirk, not caring if he pissed her off. And when he looked at what she had in her hands, "Why do you even have books, isn't it supposed to be a weekend? The library should be closed." he said rolling his eyes.
He didn't understand spending his entire weekend, reading and not paying attention enough to run into someone, and possibly hurting him.

She couldn't even feel threatened or angry as he tried to sneer back with the most ridiculous rebuttal he could have ever possibly orchestrated. "You would've either been that most uncoordinated individual of all time... Or you weren't jogging and not paying attention. There is, quite literally, no possible outcome in which was could singularly blame one of us over the other. And your argument of safety is ludacris, Narro," The r's rolled through her rather unique, thick accent. Having grown in Bulgarian and Hungary, the girl had quite way of speaking compared to most others in the school," But if this a matter of using everything to play the victim like a manchild, then be my quest," It wasn't spoken as if it were an insult, but more matter-of-factly as she shrugged a bit, undeterred by the boy's attitude," But a tip for the future, your excuses should make sense. Cute and Unintelligible are not the best stereotypes."
"Why would it matter?" She furrowed her brows a bit, carefully stacking her pile up, unmoved by the boy's silly questions. "Open, closed.. if I like reading, it wouldn't matter the state of the library if I have the books. I wanted to enjoy the outside while I indulge," She remarked, sighing as she dusted off the front of her favorite dragonology. The boy stood asking silly questions that offered no value to the conversation, and he was quite rude. "Do you.. actually believe people flocked to such a ridiculous attitude, Cooper? If we're asking silly questions, then color me curious," She retorted. There was never any rudeness. Her demeanor was calm and perhaps even a bit wistful. She gave little in return, keeping her own reactions relaxed and even a bit vague.
Cooper had to admit that it was hot, when the girl came on as a challenge. And it seemed like Viktoriya had been doing that, but he didn't feel like being the nice guy. And when she tried telling him there was no possible way for one of them to blame the other. "How so? You ran into me as a I was jogging, Bachova?" he asked. Giving her another smirk, "If I was uncoordinated then how the hell can I play Quidditch? I am pretty you have to be quite cordinated for that." he smirked. How dare she tell him that he was not coordinated enough. The boy worked his ass off, and he thought he'd be more of an ass. "I bet you would prefer, if I apologize? And say were both were wrong." the Slytherin smirked.
But he definitely found it attractive, and his next words made him laugh. "If that's the case, then I guess I should color myself an attractive manchild." he said with confidence, he knew he was attractive. And when she said that he needed better excuses. He rolled his eyes, but it was true that he always came off as more stupid despite having a brain like no other. "So you're saying that I am cute? And I find it gets me by quite well, in my mind brains should only be used in the classroom. But when I am jogging, I am not using my brain." he said curious to her reaction.
Even if he was going to find himself on his ass, and was curious to why it would matter. And how she asked if it really mattered if the library was closed or open. The Slytherin gave a smirk, "Yeah it does, because you could get in trouble for going after hours. And it's not fun when you lose points for you house." he said, even if it just meant he got to do his job as prefect. And how she wanted to indulge outside, he asked. "I am guessing the reason your outside is to explore?" he asked. Although to him it was kind of cold. But he didn't mind, in the slightest.
The Slytherin rolled his eyes, when she asked him if he actually people flock to his ridiculous attitude. "Yeah because I am amazing. And some people just can't resist me, I mean have you heard about my family?" he asked with a charming smirk. And how if he was asking silly questions, then she should be curious. "What colors you curious, Viktoriya?" he asked with curiosity.

"You're the equivalent of arguing with a brick wall right now," She shrugged," As for how you play quidditch, a game of tactic and skill, when you're incapable of running without thinking-- I'm as dumbfounded as you are, Cooper," She remarked, picking up the last of her books and setting the neatly on a clean, dry stone bench as she took a seat. She gave an exasperated sigh as she rose her brows and pursed her lips at the boy for a moment," Empty apologies are worth less than no apology at all, Cooper, so-- Naturally, unless you mean it, I would rather you not." The boy just liked to poke at people, and to be honest, she wasn't one to squirm every time someone tried to press her buttons. She was fairly patient in that regard.
She gave a look of disgust at his remark. He was so smug... Something the lovely Ravenclaw found- gross. She stared at him with the expression before adjusting on the bench comfortably, tucking a bit of her long dark hair behind her hair, refusing to give him any sort of dignified answer. While she was perfectly okay with teasing or confidence-- his fell far beyond such silliness. "I'm under no misconceptions that you view yourself as anything but attractive. However, that was meant as a warning, not a compliment, but take it however you wish," She retorted, her eyes fixed to the pages as she flipped to the spot she'd last been reading in the dragonology book, coming onto a chapter on the Hungarian Hornedtail," It is.. also truly alarming that you're so self-consumed you feel like running without using your brain would not be an issue regardless of the many students and faculty walking around."
"I'm not going to keep reiterating," She remarked. She knew she said if she had the books it wouldn't matter if that library was closed for the weekend. She really saw no reason to explain how checking out books worked to someone who already had to valid lines for a intelligent argument. "If you must know, I wanted to read and get some air after being in classes all week," She replied, looking at the boy a moment, as she assumed he likely wouldn't leave any time soon.
She, again, gave a look of disgust at the boy's remark," Certainly a gift..." She replied, her remarked thick with sarcasm," I'm simply curious how anyone can be so arrogant if we were asking silly questions," As the boy needed a further explanation behind her feeling 'curious.' "I'm quite certain there are plenty of other students willing to indulge in,, Well, you, however, I'm not a flocking fan girl or whatever you're used to. I could care less about your ties, connections, or whatever blood status you wished to flash about like peacock," She remarked, her tone still calm as she continued to read.
Cooper gave Viktoriya a smile, "That must be a very attractive brick wall. I bet I am the only attractive wall ever seen." he said giving her a charming smirk even if he knew that he had irritated her. And when she threw more shots at him, he smirked. "How are you dumbfounded, that when I like to run I like to feel like I am in euphoria or something. That's why I don't think and people should pay attention, if you see a dashing young man running your way, because you wouldn't want to ruin my pretty face." he said giving her a smirk. He loved himself and he wanted to make sure that she fell for him and admit that he was right. "Well if it pisses you off that I am asking for forgiveness. Than I am sorry for being incredibly rude to you." he said knowing it would piss her off. But that's what he wanted because he found that type of behavior attractive.
"Well it's not my fault that you are letting something as good as me slip away while you read books like a nerd. Be lucky I am not making you look like a fool which I could do. Plus if yo want to scare me, than you have to do much better than you are doing. Because I am not leaving, because I think you are flattered by my charismatic presence." he said giving her a charming smile, "Because I can definitely compliment you, but there was no lie that you were rude for running into me." he said with a shrug. Watching the Ravenclaw read he looked and he asked. "What are you even reading, that is so interesting. Because I bet this conversation is better than whatever dialogue that book has." he said giving her a look before giving her a sigh. "It's alarming that you are taking this so seriously, just because I blamed you." he said with a shrug. "Maybe if your lucky I can make up the fact that I ran into you." he chuckled. He knew that he was definitely on another planet, not to realize that he was annoying Viktoiya but he didn't care.
Rolling his eyes at her comment about how she wanted to get some fresh air after a week of classes, "If you want fresh air, than enjoy the outdoors because you look boring reading out here. And why waste your free time reading on a nice day like this?" he asked hoping to maybe get his way even if she was probably tired of him. After some time he let out a chuckle, "That's ashame, because I'd be willing to sign some autographs, but if you want be far up your ass. I am not a fan boy of you, even if you are definitely fire." he said in a charming tone. "But I promise you by the time you leave her I can change your view somewhat. Because I could use some good conversation." he said with a shrug.
