With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Ollie might be ahead of herself a little bit but everyone who knew November knew that Christmas was approaching very soon. She loved Christmas and she loved the sound of holiday joy. The girl was prepared to find out what her friends would want and she had two besties, and both needed to give her a sign for a christmas present. The girl was going to question Parker last and decided to start with Evan instead. She needed her two closest friends to get the best gifts imaginable.
With a hum she hopped her way to the astronomy tower hoping Evan got her little note asking him to meet her there. She had candy in a small bag along with some tiny presents just to get some thought on what Evan would like the most.
Last year she gave him a leather bracelet she made and carved herself but she was sure that was going to need to be topped with this year's present!
"Evan?" she asked as she walked into the tower. Was she here first?

Mr Fluffytail's cute black and white butt was making its way up the stairs almost in line with Evan's eyesight. "Mr Fluffytail, I really don't enjoy your tail being so high in the air because your butt-hole is not the most pleasant of sights," Evan grumbled playfully. As if the cat understood English, though, the cat paused and looked over its shoulder at Evan and slowed its ascent. "That works too," Evan said cheerfully and bent to stroke the big fluff ball as he went up the stairs past the feline.
Evan just opened the door when he heard his name called and he looked up to find Ollie waiting just inside the door herself. "Hey Ollie, I'm here. Consider me accio'd," he joked and closed the door behind him once Mr Fluffytail came through too. "What's up, Buttercup?" Evan walked over to a free desk and turned to rest his butt on it when he turned to look at his friend. It was kinda good to get out of the Gryffindor common room and stop studying for a little bit... but soon he'd have to get going to give the owlets their evening meal soon.
There was a rush of emotions going through the girl when she saw her best friend. She wanted to hug him and waited for Evan to sit down to do so. She missed him sometimes and they both had other friends who hung out with them too but she would do anything for her best friend anyway. She released Evan from the hug after a while and sat down across from him on the other desk.
Right Ollie, focus!
"Well it's the holidays soon sir and we have not done anything for Christmas yet!" she said and spread her arms to show how big of a deal it is and made a silly expression to fit with it. "I will be staying here during the holidays for the other kids who have no one to be their friend." she said with a nod, she thought it would be a supportive thing to do.
"Oh where are my manners! How have you been? You grew a lot.. I mean.. you got super tall!" she said and blushed a bit but smiled nonetheless.

Evan was enveloped in a hug and he loved it; he wrapped his arms around Ollie's tiny frame for a good few moments before she ultimately let go of him. The young man smiled as his bright blue eyes watched her move to sit across from him and Mr Feathertail jumped onto the table beside her, bopping his head roughly against her forearm demandingly. "Ahhh, you give the best hugs," he said mirthfully.
"Oh yes! It's Christmas - Merlin I can't believe Emily hasn't told me a million times about it this time," Evan laughed, then laughed harder as he saw Ollie's funny face and gesture. "Aw that's really nice of you, I'm excited to go home... mum makes the best roasted chestnuts for Christmas Eve and I... oh wait, this year we won't be having carrots for the reindeer because Emily's found out that Santa's … well Santa was dad dressed in a red suit and the 'reindeer' on the roof were the house elves in hoof boots," Evan chuckled, though there was a hint of melancholy behind the memory.
"Oh you know... I've been working hard so I can get some good O.W.L.s," Evan replied and then proudly puffed his chest and flexed his growing muscles much like he'd seen Matheus do on occasion often. "Mum says that if I keep growing like this, I'll grow us out of house-and-home," which was silly of course, because the Woods were well off, thanks to the Quidditch skills of his parents. "I'm almost as tall as Thomas. How about you, Ollie? I haven't seen too much of you lately... is something keeping you too busy to play with me?" he asked, with a childish tone used with 'play with me'.
