With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Positive Traits: Runa is a headstrong person who will fight her way through everything that stands in her way. She is compassionate, most of all when it comes to children and animals. She is patient and does not mind waiting and doing nothing when others might get bored. Runa enjoys being self sufficient.
Negative Traits: Runa can be very private, withdrawn and antisocial towards other adults, especially those she does not know. Social gatherings are a chore for her. Her being headstrong and following her own rules does not always sit well with everyone around her, especially when it concerns her superiors or the government
Quirks and Habits: When she is forced into social gatherings, she can be snappy and short tempered as it causes her lots of stress.
Those who do not know her will find it a strange sight to see Runa in her own home as she prefers to sit anywhere but on a conventional chair. She will be found sitting on the ground or even on the table instead.
Runa walks barefoot most of the time as it connects her with the earth and lowers her stress levels when among people.
Considering she appears to the outside world as a plant loving hippie, she knows a considerable number of language and picks new ones up rather quickly.
Likes: nature, bare feet, everything that is alive aside from humans, seclusion, forests
Dislikes: crowds, society, shoes, heat (weather)
Boggart: her dead grandmother

HISTORY
Runa’s parents, Gunnar Skarsgard and Ava Hardronsdothir, had been friends for a while when they decided to get married due to their mistrust of any and all partners they respectively had, as both had considerable sums on the bank and Gunnar was running a rather successful company. The marriage eventually caused them to develop feelings for each other. Having been brought up by very traditional parents, Gunnar’s parents put extreme pressure on the couple to have children. But even after several years of trying they were unsuccessful. It went so far that Gunnar closed himself off more and more, unable to handle the pressure. Eventually Ava did the only thing she felt she could do in the situation and had an affair. Only a few months later she informed the family that she was finally pregnant.
When Runa was born, of course Gunnar noticed that the baby girl with her black hair could not be his as Ava and himself were both blonde, but he kept quiet as he was silently grateful to have his family off his back.
And thus Runa was born into this richt Swedish family of Muggles. Often both her mother and father were away from home, not telling their child where they would go, and so Runa spent a lot of time with her babysiter and later with her grandmother. The babysitter taught her many languages and instruments, which Runa found boring but learned regardless as she did not have anything better to do. Her grandma on the other hand taught her far more interesting things and introduced her into a world little Runa would not have thought possible. Her grandmother turned out to be a witch, who saw the signs of magic Runa showed. From then on Runa could not wait for her parents to leave so she could spend more time with her grandmother. When the time came, it was her grandmother who worked hard to convince that it would be the right thing for Runa to do, to go to Durmstrang Academy.
Runa could have been considered a good student. She was eager to learn, caught on easily and was studious. But only when she wanted to. Subjects she considered useless or boring practically did not exist to her. She did go to class, but did not make an effort apart from that. Her being so stubborn and unwilling to follow rules drove the teachers up the walls. Her parents did not really care as they did not want to get involved in something they did not understand. And even though they loved their daughter dearly, they became distant to their child the more it engaged in the strange art.
At school she did not make many friends, but among those closest to her was Almir. She felt accepted by him as he had many of the same desires and opinions as she did. Nature had the same calling on him as it had on her, if only he was more attracted to its creatures and she more to its plants. They were basically inseparable and were often teased mercilessly for it at school - the dwarf and the giant, was among their titles, and of course every one of their fellow students thought that they must be a couple and would not believe otherwise.
Only a few weeks after Runa’s graduation from Durmstrang her grandmother passed away after having suffered from a fatal disease for only a short time, which she had hidden from her granddaughter. Her death hit Runa hard and to deal with her grief she packed a small bag, grabbed her wand and, leaving but a short note explaining the situation to Almir, went hiking across Scandinavia. She quickly learned to live from the land and in the wilder parts of the untouched nature so after a few months she wandered further away from civilisation. Here she developed her fascination with wolves after she found a cub in a hunter’s trap which she freed. Even while she was still busy with the task, the she-wolf returned for her offspring. Runa and the she-wolf approached each other cautiously, but the animal seemed to sense that Runa helped her cub. Maintaining cautious contact for weeks, the she-wolf eventually tolerated her and allowed Runa to hand-feed the cubs.
Eventually, after 2 years of living the life of a hermit, she felt she might be able to deal with her grief and that there was a spot in her heat which she had not known existed. It longed for human interaction. However, after her trip she did not find herself able to return to Sweden, to her parents, who were so different from her. She found herself seeking out Almir, but she was still too restless to settle down. Once more she took her belongings and went on a journey. But this time she wanted to see the world instead of only looking inwards. For two more years she travelled the world, seeking out remote areas with the most diverse plant life, at times even meeting people to learn more about the area, taking on odd jobs in search of experience.
Once she felt like she could bear to stay in one place again, she returned once more to her childhood friend and spent some time with him, reconnecting and living their freedom.
Eventually, aged 24, she decided to move to Scotland with Almir and become a teacher at Hogwarts to share the knowledge she had gained on her travels. She lives with Almir in a hut at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. The hut is equipped with rough furniture made from timber and equipped with many a rug made from the fur of a rare magical creature Almir had to put out of its misery and live and drying plants all around. It is very simplistic and more oriented towards its inhabitants spending most of their time outside and in the Forbidden Forest.

Roleplay example:
There were times when Runa enjoyed the winter nights. They were quiet and the light of the candles in her hut shone that much brighter. She had sat down with one of her few pair of pants and mended a tear in the fabric. However with a little luck and Milo's help, when he wasn't so busy, she might get new pants soon. But it wasn't the same. These were already well worn. She liked them much better than new ones.
She had just gotten up to add some tea leaves to the water boiling over the fire, when she heard a faint thud. It was much louder than any step had a right to be in the snow and she wasn't expecting any giants. Even the half-giant she had met wouldn't make that sort of sound. Apart from that, it remained the only sound in the silent night. The only sound of that sort that was, for she could hear an owl hooting and a bird flapping away.
It always put Runa on edge when she couldn't discern the origin of a sound which didn't belong to the forest.
She threw a long woolen cloak over her shoulders and stepped outside. The snow made her feet numb after only a few steps, but it was easy to ignore. She only needed those few steps to find out what had made the sound. There lay a boy, probably a few years younger than she was, looking to be in quite a bad condition. But she could see him breathing when she came closer so he wasn't dead. What was it with people being attacked in this area and then lying around for her to find? This had happened before.
Cautiously she crouched down next to the boy and felt his pulse. But even without that effort she knew, he would probably freeze to death right in front of her hut soon if she didn't take him inside. Lying on the snow like that... Runa sighed. She didn't fancy taking in another person just like that. However she took out her wand and charmed a stretcher which she levitated the boy on and then into the hut. There she deposited him on the bed and added different leaves than she had intended to the boiling water.
While the boy was still unconscious she went outside to get more water in a bucket and returned. Then she covered the stark white body with a blanket and began cleaning and inspecting the wounds. Some she dressed in bandages, others she stopped from bleeding with her wand, for others she needed salves which she would have to make.
After the appropriate time she returned to the cauldron and drew a cup full of the content. It was a tea from a plant she had found during her travels. It was much easier to brew the tea instead of making a pepper-up potion and the leaves of the plant were much stronger than that. Runa inhaled the sweet fragrant. It lifted the spirits just smelling it. She let it cool a little, then opened the boy's mouth and dripped a few spoons full into his mouth, closing it so he had to reflexively swallow.
