With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.

Casey rolled her eyes at her brother, moving a hand to slap his arm. "Don't let that get to your head, Finn." she said with a grin and took a sip of her drink. Oh how much she missed hanging out with her family. All she wanted was for her brothers and herself to have a day out, away from Hogwarts. It would help her take her mind off the people bullying her at the school. Maybe even take her mind off the fact that she had a crush on a girl she couldn't have.
"Pretty tattoos? Is that all she has?" she questioned him, smiling a bit more. "Someone has a crushhhh..." she said in a singsong voice, teasing her favorite brother. "Have you asked her out?"
Finn wasn't crushing on this girl. She was nice and pretty sure but he didn't like her like that. He only met her once after all, it would be weird to crush on someone he only just met. The boy rose an eyebrow when his sister spoke and just shook his head of curly hair. Finn smiled either way and when she teased him he just laughed a bit. "Yes she has pretty tattoos! I can't help it." he said and frowned when she said he had a crush.
"No I don't! I only met her once silly bug!" he said reaching out to ruffle her hair and took a sip of his own drink. Finn couldn't crush on someone he just met, this was not a disney movie. "We should hang out sometime, maybe watch movies." he suggested and frowned when she asked him if he asked the girl out.
If Casey had the guts to ask the girl she liked out, she would but she wasn’t even out yet. The female didn’t know how she was going to tell people that she liked girls, especially her family. Casey knew how her father felt about people like her. She knew that even if he didn’t like her, she’d lose all respect her father had left of her and she didn’t want to disappoint everyone. So she decided to stay in the closet for a little while longer until she found the guts, and she had to admit, she didn’t have any. Casey Stevens was a coward. And if one would to call her that to her face, she’d punch them so hard that they’d be seeing stars.
”Well, you’d never know.” she said and frowned a bit as she thought of the Ravenclaw beater she had a huge crush on. Nope, she would never love her. Besides, Mavican had someone wanting her every day, and Casey felt she wasn’t going to be on her radar.
”We do need a movie night sometime. Maybe if I go home for the winter holidays? It really depends on what I decide. I have a couple of months to decide if I’m staying or going home.”
