With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Exams were finished, over with, completely done and dusted which left Matheus to be a very happy man. He didn't have to quietly stress about doing well anymore - though he never typically had any issues with his performance, wink wink nudge nudge - and after one more week at Hogwarts... he was free. He was going to receive his exam results, and hopefully enroll in the Aurors program where he planned to succeed. So naturally, that left one thing left to do during his time at the school which was to celebrate and throw a massive big party.
The word about the party had been spread via word of mouth and passed on notes, and people were due to start arriving any minute now to the Room of Requirement which had been decked out for the occasion. There was food stacked on platters on the tables, an assortment of both savoury and sweet, and punch bowls sat in between them. Music played overhead too - loud enough to be heard and danced to, but not too loud to interrupt conversations that would undoubtedly erupt between students.
It was perfect and Matheus fully intended for this party to be the best one he had ever thrown during his years at Hogwarts. It would be a night to remember.

With a bottle of booze gripped in both of his greedy little hands, Greyson was all intent as he sauntered into the party Delgado had organised, heading straight over to the tables of food and drinks. He had a mission in mind and said mission was to empty a fourth of vodka into every second or so bowl of punch. It was a favour to his peers, really, or at least the ones who drank from the spiked bowls - it would help let their shoulders down a few notches and maybe the more uptight ones would relax enough that the broomsticks they'd had shoved up their all year would finally dislodge themselves from their arses.
After his job was done, Grey was more than happy to realised that shit yes, he still had about a third of vodka left in one of the bottles which he fully intended on adding to the cup of spiked punch he snatched up. Moving towards one of the lounges to the side of the room, Greyson sunk into the cushions with his cup balanced between his knees, going to untwist the vodka bottle top to start making his drink more potent... but just as he did, there was an added weight on the lounge next to him.
TAG: open for interaction
NOTES: interaction open for now, but he has plans for later in the thread <3
Exams were over, the school year was all but done and Josh had all but demanded that the triplets all go and enjoy one last party. Lydia deserved to have fun after her horrific year and Danica did too - really, Josh had plans to be the sober one this evening so that he could keep an eye on his sisters just in case things went... awry. His writer, on the other hand, laughs in the face of his innocenct, do-gooder ways. HA. Ha. Haaaa.
"Looks like it just takes a drink to spread your legs Grey," Josh said as he plonked down on sofa beside the idiot Gryffindor. "Give us a drink then, it's the least you can do," he motioned for the boy to pass him over the cup he had nestled between his knees, completely unaware that it would be laced with liquor. "Bottoms up, eh?" he would take the biggest 'sip' possible - aka down it all, just to fuck Greyson off. Tosser.
I do have standards, you know. Just... not high ones.

Sophie had never once in her life said no to a party, and she certainly didn't intend to start now. At long last, she could give up the stress of balancing exams and popularity, which, she insisted- or would have done, had anyone asked- was a great deal more difficult than doing either one or the other. Multitasking was something of a skill of hers in more ways than one but it had been a struggle. And that, she would never admit to anyone. Struggling was not something that Sophie intended to be seen doing any time in the future, unless it was in a completely different sense of course- and even then, she wouldn't be struggling hard.
Of course, she always looked stunning, but she took care to be especially so as she made her way down to the party- or up, rather; there wasn't a great deal that was down from the Hufflepuff common room. Walking in, she took a moment to glance around and see how things were shaping up. Well. A few definite possibilities, but there was always one that stood out above all the others...
"I hear this is another proof of your genius," she greeted Matheus with her most winning smile, sliding smoothly into a gap in the crowds by his side. "You're just the gift that keeps on giving, hmm?" The Hufflepuff gave the older boy a gentle pat on the shoulder, her hand lingering just a touch longer than was necessary before she withdrew it. "Well, ten out of ten."
"What do we think is going to happen today? Maybe a civilised sit down dinner where we'll all act like polite and innocent little teenagers, instead of our - and I'm purely speaking for others here - hedonistic selves?" Aggy said, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she all but winded herself trying to keep up to their big foot-like pace. It wasn't that they were exceptionally tall - okay, maybe Evan was - but more so that she was the same height as half the first years. She liked to maintain that those lot weren't taller than her when they first arrived at Hogwarts, but... she was a liar with no chance of ever becoming the next Shakira - more than her hips lied, that was to say.
Finally reaching the Room of Requirement, Aggy carried on talking as she stepped in, only to catch sight of Greyson Avery with what was virtually a halo sitting atop his greasy mane of black hair, pouring vodka into several of the punch bowls. 'What an angel,'Aggy thought dryly to herself. Whirling to face Alex, she plastered on a sweet smile as she said, "If Evan offers to show you his sausage skills later - did you miss seeing them last time? I think you did, what a sight that was to behold - will you unpin the figurative badge from your chest and make like you never saw that?" She didn't want to leave because that would totally kill any chances of her downing three, four cups full of punch at some point in the evening.

"What's up, Aggy, " The boy gave a small, playful salute from his brow as he entered the Room of Requirement. He was pretty ready to call it a summer and head home for the most part. While he didn't love to spend time with his dad he did need a mental break. He hoped he could just spend the summer playing and staying scarce from home without the pressures of any real study work. The American wizard took off his jacket, tossing is on the back of a chair and took out a pack of cigarettes. Luckily the room was pretty adaptive, so it would work itself out if the others didn't care for the smoke.
He lit up with a lighter before sliding the pack and such back in his pocket. It didn't seem the party was quite hyped yet, but at least Avery was readying a little bit of liquid courage in the the punch. He didn't mind loosening up. He got himself a cup, tasting it. It could've used some more, but who was he to nag? He took another drink of his cup, rolling his shoulders a bit.
With his long hair tied back in a makeshift bun, Rowan was all relaxed and cool as he all but walked Casey and Mavican to the Room of Requirement, his arms slung over both of their petite shoulders. "... and that's the story of how I saved everyone and their uncles from a giant bear ravaging Hogwarts," he said, finally finishing up the vivid recounting of the dream he'd had last night before shooting both of them a cheeky grin that dimpled the corners of his mouth. "You're welcome. The cries of 'Rowan, you're my hero' can commence any time now."
Walking over the threshold into the room itself, Rowan let out a low whistle because, "man, Delgado's really gone all out for this one. What would old lady Mavi say about this... right, it's going to be a 'doozy.' Speaking of old lady Mavican, Casey, did you know your future wife is already well into her 60s? She says the word hairdo. You might need to buy her a walking frame come next year." He punctuated his words with a loud bout of laughter and a wink at both of the Ravenclaw girls.
When Greyson caught sight of who it was sitting next to him, his eyes couldn't go rolling back any further in his skull because oh shit, here was the chivalrous Hufflepuff who decided to defend everyone and their mother during classes. "Yeah, and what does it take for you to spread yours, Llewellyn? Or maybe they open just as easy as your sisters... maybe all we'd need to do is get you in a library and pop! There they go," he shot back, a smirk twisting up his lips.
The guy was all but demanding that Greyson give him his drink and after considering the guy for a minute with a snort, he decided whatever. Good fucking luck to him if he thought he could handle the potent drink without spluttering. "Sure, bottoms up," he said, handing - okay, maybe shoving - the cup into Josh's hands. "Have fun with pretty much having my spit in your mouth. Bet it tastes great."

Danica had been looking forward to the party. O.W.L.s had been nothing short of a nightmare, and all she wanted to do was forget about them until the envelopes arrived home later that summer that would inevitably bring the bad news that her scores were the worst of the triplets. No, now it was her time to shine, she thought as she tugged Lydia into the room behind her. Time to sparkle...
...or it would be, if the first thing she saw wasn't Greyson Avery's grubby mitts touching every single drink. There was no way that, even if he was being totally innocent, which he would never be, that Dani would want to put anything in her mouth that he had touched. "Do not drink the punch," she told her sister darkly, snorting. "We'll find someone else to get drinks from."
Moving further into the room, Dani scanned the crowd, searching for anyone she knew would definitely have brought something to contribute. One would think that the room which was meant to give you whatever you needed would give her Avery-free punch, but it seemed like she had to do everything herself.
It was when she spotted Rowan Howard sitting between two girls, winking at them, that her stomach seemed to sink even further. She told herself it was nothing, that it had only been a bit of fun between them--hadn't that been what she wanted?--but she found herself hit with the overwhelming wish that it was her he was looking at like that. Desperately, she hoped Lydia wouldn't notice the deflated look on her face, but sadly, she knew better--you weren't sisters for sixteen years without being able to read each other somehow.
Leave it up to Mavican to attend a fun party one of her classmates were hosting. Truth be told if Rowan didn't convince her to come she might not have. Mavican often had quite.. different activities in mind but this was a nice change of pace as she walked in, her arm around Rowan's waist and her girlfriend right beside him as well. "You have vivid dreams my friend but I would love to see you fighting a bear any day." she told Rowan with a smirk on her lips.
Mavican shot Casey a grin before letting out a dramatic sigh. "Rowan my hero!" she called out, the dramatic undertone very present in her voice as they walked into the party. "How was that? Did that sound convincing enough?" she then turned to look at the party and it seemed quite fun but there weren't many people yet. The term party in Mavican's mind wasn't real until there were sweating bodies so close to one another that you could hardly breathe and the music so loud you can't speak.
"Oh be quiet you." she said, poking his cheek as he spoke of her being an old lady. "You're just saying that because you are still pouty about not being able to braid my hair." Mavican looked around for drinks and licked her lips. "Now the most gentlemanly thing to do is get us drinks right?" she asked Rowan, batting her eye lashes as she headed for the table with drinks. Mavican gave his cheek a smooch before waiting for Rowan to fetch herself and her girlfriend a drink. "What do you think of this party hmm?" she asked Casey, a smile on her face. She was going to enjoy this. Mavican then winked at Casey as a watch this, and smacked Rowan's ass. "Such a nice ass," she teased. Casey knew that he was her best friend and that Mavican would do anything to boost his ego, or embarrass him.

Josh had all but insisted that the three of them had come to this party - something about it being... grand, or something, she couldn't quite remember how he'd tried to sell it to them - and as Lydia was tugged by Dani into the room, she couldn't help but be... uh, almost underwhelmed. Especially as Dani declared she needed to stay away from the punch.
"How am I supposed to get off my arse drunk and drown my misery if I'm not allowed to touch the punch," she murmured, but nevertheless she heeded Dani's advice. Her sister was the more sociable one out of them, and way better versed when it came to parties. "Look, there's Roman - maybe he'll have something special you can smoke. Do you think he'll let me have a try too?" She'd never touched the more... uh, illicit substances Dani had dabbled in - not that her sister was, like, a... a chronic smoker who blazed it up 24/7, but... she was fairly innocent in comparison. The hardest stuff she'd touched was booze.
Turning to face Dani, about to play tug-o-war with her wrist this time, Lydia's brows furrowed as she caught the expression on her sister's face and then followed her line of sight. "Sixth year Gryffindors are always a piss poor choice," she said wryly, although... a part of her hoped that maybe Thomas would make an arrival tonight. Maybe if he did, she could... could manage to ask him why he'd yet to cop any flack about the incidentTM. Didn't she deserve answers? "Come on, let's go harrass some other people."
Rae was told by a very good source about a party and who would she be to deny herself such a thing? The brunette was well dressed and yet casual as she walked into the party, many others had already arrived and her eyes searched around for someone familiar. Rae grinned when she spotted the always good looking Matheus and figured she should at least compliment him on the party. She enjoyed the little fun they had at the quidditch pitch the other day and really was just looking for a good time now as well.
"Hey handsome." she said and bumped his shoulder with her own. "Great party." she then turned to grab a drink and turned to Sophie with a smile as well. "You're here too! How lovely." she said and sipped from the drink she found. A little too sweet to her liking but Rae would get over that. Besides, Sophie was really trying to get it on with Matheus and who could blame her? Rae did and it was something she enjoyed. "Want me to give you two some time.. alone?"

In the middle of taking a swig from a punch-filled cup, Matheus was all of a sudden sidled up to by Sophie Dunstable, somebody he'd shared classes with and had his eye on for a while. She was striking, gorgeous, with a good personality to booth. "I am good at giving a lot of things. Maybe you'll get to find out later," he told her, throwing her a flirtatious wink. She definitely seemed interested in him, with the way she let her hand linger and the smile she was flashing about, so maybe it was a real possibility.
"I don't think I've ever had so many Hufflepuffs in my company at the one time. It's the curls, right? Curls get the girls," he joked, before huffing in amusement. Yeah, he was real slick with those dad jokes. When Rae asked if they wanted some alone time, Matheus' brows raised in her direction before he was chuckling. "You know what they say, two's company... three's a crowd - a good one, if you ask me. I've never had a problem spending time with people in threes."

"Maybe," Sophie repeated with just the slightest of pouts. "Oh, Matheus... promises, promises." Her lips curved into a gentle smile halfway between amusement and entertainment and she drew her legs up beneath her, manipulating every muscle like a sculptor with her model. Well, they said that art held a mirror up to life, and the brunette certainly spent a lot of time holding up mirrors. Not that she'd admit it, of course- so far as the rest of the world was concerned, she just rolled out of bed looking perfect.
She shrugged gracefully, leaning her weight to the side. "Might be the curls. Might not." Well, there was willing and then there was easy, and if the two categories were represented as a Venn diagram then Sophie would be... probably right in the middle. But a girl could dream. "Could be the eyes." Or the physique, or any one of a hell of a lot of other things. "Maybe Rae and I should have a think and get back to you." Admittedly, she hadn't been planning on doing an awful lot of thinking tonight, but plans could change. "And some of us are selfish, you know," she added, shooting a wink in Rae's direction. "We might decide we don't need you, Delgado."
Parties... Dio had no clue why he even went. People didn’t like him, and he didn’t like people either. Even the students that were supportive of werewolves thought him to be extreme in his believes. He didn’t have many friends to be at the party. Skylar was too young to be invited but Alex might show up. Still it was probably best to leave Alex alone. The Ravenclaw was popular which meant a lot of people would be drawn towards him.
Alcohol was what drew him towards the party. He’d brought his own, but it was always neat if stuff was offered. Despite Vito’s business doing well thanks to desperate werewolves needing wands and other magic supplies, Dio wouldn’t get much pocket money. It was okay he didn’t feel like depending on authority figures anyways.
At the party, the Slytherin found himself alone chucking away alcoholic drinks as if he his life depended on it. After a while he felt a lot better and more confident. His eyes scanned through the crowd for the first time and he indeed spotted Alex, standing with Aggy. Dio already had a rosy shade on his cheeks thanks to the alcohol for which he was grateful because he was feeling a little warm under his collar.
Screw it. The alcohol dragged him towards the group. “Sup, buddy?” He gave Alex a soft hit on the shoulder before standing next to him. He casually moved passed Agnes and pressed a tiny bottle in her hand. An alcoholic drink which was vodka mixed with giggle water that was popular among youth in Knockturn. He grinned slyly at her before going back to acting casual. “Clearwater, I’ve always wondered why you are hanging out with someone as dull as Stickman over there?” He eyes towards Evan the boring.
