With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

With his thick, bushy brows furrowed, Matheus watched each of his classmates face their boggarts. Zoë's was an image of a more straight-edge version of herself in a wedding dress which he could completely relate to because commitment? Not his thing. Oh, at all. Then Wolfgang's was a flickering of different fears - an older man, a younger man, and then himself looking... like he'd had a round with werewolves. Eyes flickering towards the younger Ravenclaw as he stumbled towards the back afterwards, Matheus decided to give him a minute instead of rushing over in some attempt to help him out.
Mavican's boggart caught his eye next, a twisted version of herself in rags for clothes, dead behind her usually lively green eyes. Homeless. That fear was one that tugged at Matheus' stomach because he knew what that fear was like to have. More than once, he'd worried that would be his fate if his mãe didn't come back with enough money to get them by that pay day. They'd come close to being kicked out of their tiny, cramped flat but... it had yet to happen.
Taking a step forward, wand clutched in his hand tightly, Matheus braced himself for what was about to come. Then there it was - his baby sister, only three years old, standing there with a haunted look in her eyes and barely any fat on her body. It reminded him of that time when he was nine years old, except worse, and after a few seconds of swallowing hard, the image flickered to Nicolas instead. His kid brother, dark curls unruly atop his head, his face gaunt and emaciated, looking miserable before his lips parted and he started begging, "Por favor nos alimente. Estamos com tanta fome. " Please feed us. We are so hungry.
Before the boggart could transform again, Matheus inhaled deeply, shouting, "Riddikulus!" it's way. Suddenly, Nicolas' cheeks were stuffed full of so many marshmallows they were falling out of his mouth in between his attempts to giggle. The chubby bunny competition that he'd once had with his brother never failed to make him smile, and he moved towards the back of the room to sit at the desk next to Zoë.
all i really want is to be wonderful/people in this town, they can be so cruel

"Wolfgang." Isobel's voice was the softest of whispers as her boyfriend returned to the table they were sitting at together, his eyes looking nothing short of haunted. "Come here. Sit down." She grasped one of his hands, pulling it away from his face, squeezing it as if trying to press comfort into his body through it. What he'd feared--Isobel couldn't say exactly who they were, but she had looked at Wolfgang's face so many times that she could have picked out similar ones from a mile away. And knowing that his relationship with his family was strained, that he hated being at home, that his father was dead, that his brother's being a Squib caused some sort of problem--she had no doubt that she'd seen some of his family members for the first time.
"It wasn't real," she murmured, rubbing her thumb on the back of his hand. "It's like a nightmare. It feels real for a moment, but then it goes away and you remember it's not at all." Isobel couldn't say she'd been particularly prone to nightmares in her life, although since the Winter Ball, there had been a few more than she'd wanted. She wondered if that meant her own boggart had changed. Last time she'd had to face one, it had simply been a dirty mass of creepy-crawlies, worms and centipedes and cockroaches. But was that what she really feared now?
There was only one way to find out. With a kiss pressed silently to the side of Wolfgang's head, she got up, chair legs scraping against the floor. "I'll be back before you know it, and then neither of us will have to deal with it again. Alright?"
Stepping in front of the boggart, she prepared her wand, waiting. And just as she had feared--of course it was, it's a boggart, she told herself--the cackling face of her one-time classmate came into view, his wand pointed right at her. Theo. The one who'd brought the violence right into the Great Hall, who'd caused her to freeze in terror and fear without her wand.
"Riddikulus!" she said, but nothing happened. With a frown, she redoubled her efforts, trying to picture him dressed in something odd--something--something like her own dress! The second time she tried the charm, a smile managed to crack her face when the boy became wrapped in the blue fabric, staring down at himself, baffled.

Rae was going to enjoy this. That is what she kept telling herself after watching people go through some awful shit. The one that even terrified her was Matheus's, his boggart seemed awful and for a moment she just wanted to hug him and tell him it was not real but then Linwood was next and her eyes were on Theo. The boy who helped cause chaos and hell during the winter ball. Rae hated that her own dress got ruined but she also thought some of these attackers were her friends, people she cared about.
Rae stepped up to the boggart and clung onto her wand so hard her knuckles turned white. Her color drained from her face when she saw the boggart turn into a werewolf but not just any werewolf. Her big brother. She watched Dexter go through his transformation, she watched how her brother she loved so much got turned into a wolf and she backed down a bit. This is not real Rae, it's just a boggart. She tried to tell herself that but her brother seemed in so much pain until he had become the monster he is.
"No.." she shook her head and felt tears in her eyes. This was not going to get to her. "Ridikkulus." she almost felt like she screamed it as the werewolf turned into a stuffed animal. Rae backed out more and looked at the professor. "C- Can i have a break? I need some air." she asked him, not wanting to be around these people much longer.
