With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

ear Isobel,
I had heard that the Ministry uses airplanes instead of owls to send their messages through the departments, and I've been researching for quite some time on how to do it. Now I won't have to go to the Owl tower every time I want to send you a message. I'm sending two airplanes this time, the other one has instructions for the spells if you wish to make your own, or you can just wipe the ink with a spell and reuse this one -- though I'm not sure how long the spell will last.
I don't have any news for you. Nothing interesting has happened since dinner.

Dear Wolfgang,
No news since dinner? What a shame! I'd hoped when I got a note from you that there would be something juicy. But that's alright. I've heard the news that someone has a seventeenth birthday coming up. Any plans? Or should I be arranging all that?
I think the charm should work as well for me as it does for you, but if this falls into someone else's hands--well, come to Wolfgang's birthday party, I suppose?

ear Isobel,
Right. Birthdays. I have a habit of forgetting mine exists. No plans, no need to worry your pretty little head about it. Though, I know you're very insistent, so if you really wish to do something for my birthday...Just find us a room where nobody would interrupt us.

Dear Wolfgang,
It's your seventeenth! I'm not going to let you forget that one. My head may be pretty, but it's not little, so I didn't forget. I'd throw you a surprise party, but it looks like that wouldn't be much of a surprise anymore. And I don't need a pretense to find a room with you--we can do that any time. How about I get you a present? I know we can't go to Hogsmeade right now, but I can always make something.

ear Isobel,
17, 18, what does it matter? Just one day closer to my hair growing gray. I insist that you don't do anything. You don't have to get anything for me -- except, maybe, let me count those freckles of yours with my lips.

Dear Wolfgang,
I insist that I do something. I have an idea, but I'll need to meet you with a measuring tape sometime.
And no, not to measure my freckles, or do anything else to them. There's too many of them, you'd get tired halfway across my face--I don't like them much anyway.

ear Isobel,
Are you intending to measuresomething of mine?
I feel a ever-so-slight tinge of disappointment hearing that -- I think your freckles are like the stars in the night sky, and I'd be willing to be the fool who spends every night trying to count them all, losing count when the morning comes, and then trying again. And again. And again.

Dear Wolfgang,
You're very poetic--I can't quite write like that. All I can do is draw, or design. But that's why I need you and a measuring tape. Meet me this weekend?
If you absolutely must know some additional measurements, you can take the measuring tape yourself.
