With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Being pregnant with Dallas Reid’s child was something Artemis wasn’t expecting to go through during her young life but she wasn’t entirely against having his children one day. They were going to get married when they come of age, and it was safe. But for some reason she didn’t feel entirely safe with the pregnancy due to the things happening around them. The night Apollo had attacked Morgan, and said that they were in danger because of Peter Tyrell being there threw her off, and she was left wondering if she was safe. The female had managed to calm her brother down, tell him that she was pregnant and he didn’t like it one bit but he would never let it slip where they were hidden. Artemis had trusted her brother not to let the Russian’s know where the group was at. But that still didn’t put the mother to be at ease.
Artemis had been sitting in the porch, looking out at the forest around them while she was seated on a stool and painting her work. Her hair was up in a ponytail as she looked out at the snowy forest, and she made some strokes on the parchment before her. The radio that Peter had fixed over the holidays was perfectly playing music, and Artemis was humming along softly as she heard the door open, and she had eyed the person out of the corner of her eye, smiling a bit. Painting helped get her mind off this stuff, and it helped her forget that she was dealing with morning sickness already. It left the woman a little cranky, and she was getting sick of people walking on eggshells, and treating like she was fragile.
The female turned in her stool to look at her fiance with a small smile. ”Hey…” she said softly, putting the brush down and adjusted the hoodie she was wearing. ”How was your sleep?” she asked, cocking her head to the side.
Exhaustion, slight depression, give it a name and it would be the same thing. They were just the four of them again, the others were back to Hogwarts and you could see the pain in the goodbye's. There were so many people saying goodbye when they shouldn't be at all. They should all be able to go back but instead they were hunted and Dallas just wanted to hide in his bed.
Still, he had a fiancee to take care off and Dallas needed to take care of her now more than ever. The guy crawled out of bed, putting on a hoodie and headed out of the bedroom. He heard music from a small distance and just headed towards it. Peter fixed the radio and it was actually really nice to have around. With a smile Dallas walked out of the cabin and eyed Artemis.
Dallas leaned over to kiss her. "Hey." he said and eyed the painting. "It's beautiful so far." he said and sat down beside her. "It was rough, sucks to have them be gone you know." he told her and rested his head on her shoulder. "Do you need anything?"

Artemis knew it was hard for Mara and Dallas to let their family go when it came to goodbyes. She can see the pain, hear everyone’s voice breaking (even her own) when they had to let the others go back to school. Elijah had promised that he would stop by after graduation again, and offered to stay a bit to prepare for the child. The male was a gentleman, and she wondered how he didn’t have a girlfriend for all these years. But then she can remember the way he was during school, always flirting with the ladies and boys alike. The male was a player, and had even tried to ask Artemis out before realizing that she was a couple years under him.
They all seemed to be excited about the baby announcement, and she had no idea she was going to get a bunch of positive attitudes. They always said Artemis and Dallas would have cute babies, with the red hair the Reid’s carry. Even though Artemis had her doubts, she was actually pretty excited about the child and the journey of parenthood.
”Mmm. Thank you.” she said, and eyed the painting. She would sell these for money. ”I know, it’s hard. But hey, once summer comes you would be able to spend time with both Skylar and Morgan for about three months...ish…” she said, poking his nose and shook her head. ”Nah. You're all that I need.”
Letting his siblings go was tough but he was going to take care of the people here and he knew Morgan was going to be fine. The young male sat with his fiancee, his eyes on the painting. Sometimes he really felt bad the rest of the world couldn't see her talents, he helped her sell paintings whenever she needed him too by getting a stand on markets but it's been tough.
Dallas ran a hand through his hair and smiled a bit. "I know, I'm just worried about Sky." he said and frowned. "He is just so young.." he said with a small frown and ran a hand over his face. He smiled and stole another kiss. "Mmm are you sure? I bought you some snacks. I heard you threatened to kill Mara." he teased and rested his head on her shoulder.

The night she was attacked with her twin brother, she was taken from her own family. They wanted nothing to do with her, and had told to stay as far away as possible. The Reid’s had taken her and her brother when they didn’t have too because Dallas just happened to be dating her. The young blonde would never forget the generosity from Mama and Papa Reid. They had told them to stay in this cabin for as long as they wanted because they didn’t want to lose their son, or anyone for that matter. Being a werewolf was hard, but Reid's had made it easier for them. They had a roof over their heads.
Artemis had made a face as she eyed her painting, and then looked at her fiance when he told her that Mara kinda told on her. ”Well, I thought she was going to steal my food. I’m eating for two now and if someone stole my food, I will….murder them. Including you.” she teased back, smiling a bit. ”Your siblings can handle themselves just fine, love. I’m sure they watch each others backs when they’re causing trouble at Hogwarts.” she said, grabbing her brush and did a little stroke on the work before her.
Dallas's parents had a legacy of their own. It was a legacy filled with kindness which was confusing for the ones who knew Dallas himself and his sister were in Slytherin. The redheaded boy remembered his mother taking them into her lap even when they were teenagers and told them no matter what house they were in, no matter how angry Dallas could get.. kindness was not something to shy away from. His family took in Artemis's even though Dallas wanted to kill Apollo, out of kindness. Dallas wondered if he one day had to step up and continue that legacy, but how would he do that?
Would he have to start a pack of his own? A pack of misfits, children who need a home and don't need to be a part of the war? Just kids. The boy let out a small sigh and took out a piece of gum from his pocket, handing his girl one as well. "Oh she surely had the intentions I am sure. I sometimes feel like she still has that urge to scavenge to survive." he said with a small shake of his head. "I don't like that Skylar is hanging out with Greyback.. if he gets him turned.. I will.." his hands were becoming fists and he needed to take a few deep breaths.
"What if we started an actual pack. It's the four of us now but what if there are more kids like us out there? Needing a home?" he asked and frowned. "I think my parents would want me to do that.."

Artemis had taken the gum that was offered to her, unwrapping it and popping it into her mouth as she turned her attention to her painting for a quick moment. Painting always helped her when she needed an escape mentally. Sometimes she would get so into it that she wouldn’t be able to hear someone talking to her two feet away. Sometimes they’d have to wave a hand in front of her face to make her snap out of her groove, but some people had learned not to do that much anymore because it annoyed her. Instead, she would rather have someone tap her on the shoulder. The female had made some money off her painting and she was proud of it. They all needed something to live on.
When Dallas mentioned that Skylar was hanging out with Greyback, it made her put the brush back down and she looked at her fiance. This was the first she had heard about that and she understood what he was going to say when he trailed off. It concerned her that the boy was hanging out with the kid but she was sure Greyback won’t do anything stupid.
”I’m sure Greyback won’t do anything stupid.” she said softly. There was a tiny frown on her face as she thought of the young Reid. He had a lot of Dallas and Morgan in him, it sometimes worried the blonde.
Her eyes looked at Dallas when he started talking about building a pack of their own and she nodded with a tiny smile. ”That’s not a bad idea. Your parents will be super proud of the man you’ve become, Dallas.” she said, reaching out to stroke his cheek.
Dallas wanted to make a difference and his attitude had changed over time about it. In school he didn't give a single damn about pretty much anything but now out here in a world that is just so cruel to outsiders, to people who needed it, he needed to make a difference. The redhead knew he wasted much in school by trying to be a badass but all he was was a musician with a guitar handed to his brother and a pregnant fiancee. He needed to be able to provide, the land was good to grow food on and with a bigger pack there would be more protection and the kids would have a home.
"I'll talk to Morgan about some extra gold so I can buy tools to farm some vegetables and stuff.. we got enough land.." he suggested and looked at Artemis. "I'm glad you're supporting this.. there are so many kids out there with nowhere to go.." he said and frowned. "They can of course go as they please, I am not going to force anyone to stay..." he added quickly. "I just wish they were here.. my parents." he said and eyed her with a sad smile.

Artemis would support anything that Dallas would offer, to make lives better for all the wolves that were kicked out of their school due to the fact they were monsters. She wasn’t against helping people out, in fact she had thought of the same thing a while back when Peter and Mara showed up. They didn’t turn them away, and it was nice to have company while Dallas went to town to get some money to support them. There were talks of letting Peter out there and get some sort of job to support them. Even though Artemis was against it, she knew she couldn’t protect the boy for long. He needed freedom and she knew they shouldn’t hold Peter back.
”We need to build extra rooms in the cabin because there’s no reason they should be locked outside. Besides, I think it would be great to have more company.” she said and looked at Dallas with a small frown. Her hand moved to his cheek, stroking it and smiled softly. ”I know, I miss them too. But hey, they’ll be proud of you stepping up. Let me be that support for you. Morgan too. DIdn’t she say she was going to come back once school is over?”
Dallas knew this was tough, this life might have been easier if he joined the packs that were out there but he wasn't stupid, he heard the news from his sister on how Teddy Lupin who was supposed to be good to people was seen outside of the hospital where a breakout happened. Was he really sinking that low? Breaking out people who hurt kids in school? What was he thinking? What are both these packs thinking? Violence, though it was the preferred method for Dallas, was only making it worse for the wolves out there.
"We'll stay out of politics though, whatever those two packs are doing.. I can't be a part of any of that." he knew it would put his sister and brother in harm's way. "I can start building rooms, bunk beds.." he offered though he might need to make a whole second building.. the cabin wasn't big enough for so many people. When Dallas felt Artemis's hand on his cheek he just leaned into the touch a bit more. He loved her and without her his anger would have taken control of him much faster than people can spell his name.
"Of course you're my support. Without you I am just another lost cause.." he told her with a smile. "She did say that though I don't want her to drop out, I heard her mention that and it would not be a good idea.." he added knowing very well her pain because soon Ryker would be out of school and she'd be there without her.

Artemis had been doing a lot of work around the cabin, making sure the others had eaten their share of meals and doing light weight work because God forbid she’d harm the unborn child. The female didn’t even want to know the gender of her future child, wanting to be surprised. Peter had been doing a lot of heavy lifting and even chopping wood for the pile. If they continued to live out in these woods, they’d run out of trees with how much Peter and Dallas used an ax. The thought made the female smile as she kept her hand on Dallas’ cheek.
”Oh god. No politics please. I’ll throw myself off a mountain ...” she said with a tiny smile. A low hum had left the female was she looked at her husband-to-be. ”We got a wedding to plan too.” she stated with a grin.
A low sigh had left her and she nodded. ”I’ll kill your sister if she even says she’s not going to go back to Hogwarts.”
Dallas had so much on his mind, a wedding, his sibling's well being and not to mention the fact his sister was trying to drop the fuck out when she really was supposed to do what he couldn't. Get a future somewhere, make a difference. He knew love was an obstacle, love was something that stopped them both from doing the stupid shit they did without it but that didn't mean that love was worth losing your education for, he couldn't think Ryker would want that for his sister either.
"You and me both, this shit is getting insane and soon we might need to shelter kids who get kicked out of school for being different. I've been writing a friend and she is afraid she is next." he sighed and shook his head. This was insanity and he couldn't believe the ministry not seeing how this was turning the community to hell. Back to the old days where they burned witches and their families? What was next? A new dark lord? At least he appreciated wolves.. in a way.
"Mmm yes our wedding is going to be fantastic." he assured her and kissed his fiancee's cheek. "I will too, I wrote my brother, I want to hear from him what's going on because if she goes.. he goes too and Sky needs school." he sighed.

When Artemis was in school, people used to call her the mom friend of the group because of the way she treated them. She mothered them, made sure they ate and did their schoolwork before playing or well, fool around with their boyfriends or girlfriends. Some got annoyed, others thought it was nice to have a friend that looked out for their best interests. She wasn’t ashamed of her personality, she was proud of the woman she has become. Even after being attacked and kicked out of Hogwarts - she still cared for her friends from afar.
”You think the Ministry will target other creatures?” she asked, frowning a bit as she remembered the things she had read. The world was going to Hell, and she couldn’t do anything to stop it. All she wanted was to keep everyone around her safe, and now some would think she’s rubbing off on her fiance because he wants to help people.
”I think you need to talk more sense into your boneheaded sister. If she doesn’t listen to you, write to Ry. Or I can…” she offered and smiled softly.
