With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

HISTORY
They named their third daughter Lyubov. Love.
Then why, when she was only six weeks old, did her mother leave, never to return? To go missing so thoroughly that there was no other conclusion than that she must be dead, rather than be with them? Lyuba has never known what it is like to have a mother. It never bothered her--until she became old enough to wonder why everyone else had one. Her sisters couldn’t say much; her father didn’t seem to want to talk about her.
And little Lyuba was always the odd one out. Even if she was the baby of the family, it only meant that she couldn’t remember anything. She knew nothing about her mother, nothing about Russia, and it made her feel rather disconnected.
They had worried she was a Squib.
It was one of those things that should have been impossible, given that Lyuba was half magical creature, but it took her far longer to show the first signs of magic than either of her sisters, so it was a genuine worry. In fact, it was only a month before her Hogwarts letter came that she showed it in a big way, nearly setting the whole apartment on fire. It was--fitting for her, with the most fiery personality of the three sisters.
Fortunately, Ivan had been home to put the flames out, but unfortunately, not before they had reached the poor girl’s ponytail. Lyubov had to cut her hair to the chin, and while she hated it at first and wished someone would do a spell on it to make it magically regrow, she came to think she looked rather cute with it. She’s been wearing it short ever since.
She had been very close to failing.
Lyuba’s first-year exams had been a struggle--and second, and third--but she had left her fourth-year exams in tears. How was she supposed to pass O.W.L.s if she couldn’t even begin to understand the equations for Cross-Species Switches or brew a Wit-Sharpening Potion? And those were only two of the things she’d completely failed at. Her marks had only just squeaked her into the fifth year, and she’d been embarrassed to even show the results to her father. Vera and Nadya had never done quite this badly.
It was only when Papa gave her a hug and promised to take a day off from work to help her with some of the things she didn’t understand, that she felt much better. School didn’t seem like it would ever be easy for her, but at least she had the assurance from her father that if she ever had such a hard time again, she could find help in him.
Caught. Katrin had been discovered, found in her fantasies about becoming one of the names that adorned this room. It wasn't like people didn't know she wanted it--the girl always seemed to puff up with pride every time she got something as simple as a few points for Slytherin. But it was something else entirely for a classmate to see how desperately she wanted recognition like this. Katrin's cheeks flushed hard when Rose walked in right as she was standing in front of Ron Weasley's trophy. It didn't take a genius to figure out what a shared last name meant, especially when you'd grown up knowing the names of pretty much every pureblood wizarding family in the country--or formerly pureblood, as the case may be.
Still, Katrin had reason to consider Rose's opinion of her. Despite being in Gryffindor, the girl seemed intelligent and put-together. Katrin felt she could like the redhead enough, even if the other girl's height made her feel rather small, something she never enjoyed. She drew herself up taller, pushing her hair behind her ears.
"Planning what to do to get one of these trophies," she answered cheerfully, as if it was the most obvious possible thing. Knowing Katrin, it probably was that obvious. "And you? Have something in mind?" She glanced back over to the list of Head Students while she asked. It was five years in the future, sure, but Rose couldn't be Head Girl if Katrin was going to be!
