With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

HISTORY
It could be said that Katrin Tyrell did not really exist until she was seven years old.
That was, after all, when Katrin Nott became Katrin Tyrell. Katrin was too young to know exactly how the man who she had always thought was her father had found out that he was not, but the fact remains that he had learned, and had wasted no time in throwing little Katrin out of the only home she had ever known, to live with a father and a whole family she had never met. In an instant, she went from being an only child to having enough siblings for a whole Quidditch match, not to mention the stepmother (and the other stepmother who came later), and all the drama of the Tyrell family.
And through it all, Katrin was acutely aware that she wasn’t really meant to be part of it. Some people didn’t seem to ever want to let her forget the circumstances of her birth. But Katrin, who had been raised in pureblood wizarding society, who did not want to accept anything less than she deserved, became determined to claw her way back into the place she belonged.
Oh, and then there was the tale of two sisters.
Ariella was Katrin’s oldest sister, and though she never had a chance to know her well--Ariella was off at school, and then she was off traveling--Katrin thought that she was perhaps the coolest person in the whole world. Some children had a profession they wanted when they grew up, but Katrin just wanted to be Ariella. When she heard her sister was going to become the new Potions professor, she was overjoyed.
Avery, on the other hand, was just a year older, but Katrin learned quickly that the two would clash forever. Katrin was a little perfectionist, always wanting everything in its proper place, speaking politely even when insults were dripping from her words. Avery was clumsy and loud and seemed to want to make Katrin hate her. It came to blows between them surprisingly quickly, but not with fists: when Avery’s first sign of magic was sending a heavy book flying into her sister’s head, Katrin’s was having the ink bottle on a nearby desk pour itself all over Avery’s clothes.
But Katrin felt she would get the last laugh when she went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. It was the House of both her parents, which meant that they would have to be proud of her, right? That maybe her father would pay more attention to her, that maybe her mother would be able to speak to her again someday.
It wasn't nothing. After being thrown into the air by one of the attacking students, Emil had hit his knee hard against the floor, The adrenaline of the moment had prevented him from realizing just how bad it was in the darkness, but when the hall had finally calmed down, he had found that putting any amount of weight on his leg was practically unbearable. He'd had to lean on a fourth-year girl just to make it up to the hospital wing, feeling terrible that he considered casting a lightening charm on himself only too late. He sat heavily on the bed next to Grace's, trying not to think about the pain that was still radiating through him.
The events of the night seemed to add an additional weight to him, as well. It had been impossible for them all to defend themselves against their own classmates. If even the seventh-years were struggling, how much more had it frightened all the younger students? And, furthermore, Emil knew that if his parents were ever to hear about what had happened, they would bar him from returning to school after Christmas in a heartbeat. When the werewolf attack had happened, he hadn't been able to keep that knowledge from them, but then there had been the importance of finishing his O.W.L.s to remind them of. He wasn't obligated to finish school now, just as it would be in the Muggle world, and his parents knew it.
When he saw Grace begin to cry, he wanted to reach out to hug his fellow prefect, but standing up was simply not going to happen until the hospital wing matron made it all the way to their beds. It was more important for the most injured to be treated first, anyway. Instead, he waited to see if Grace wanted to talk about it more.
