With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

HISTORY
Emil’s parents owned the Polish grocery store in a northern English town, on the corner of Victoria Street and William Street. For this reason, the boy grew up with a love for delicious food. He would often follow his parents into the kitchen, making them fear for him burning or cutting himself, and his first signs of magic--though nobody knew that yet--were of making sweets disappear from the store’s baskets and into his pocket. The Zalewskis were hardworking, straightforward people, and they had never once entertained the idea that there might be something like magic in their only son. That was why, when a Ministry official arrived at their apartment the winter Emil turned eleven to explain that he was a wizard, Tomasz and Karolina thought it was some strange joke for months. It was hard to convince them to send away their son to a place with… witches and wizards. Weird people.
When his parents were finally convinced of the need to send him to Hogwarts, Emil was sorted into Ravenclaw. He was unsure at first of just why he was in what he quickly learned was the “smart” house, never having thought of himself that way, and knowing he had arrived with far less knowledge than most of his classmates. But, knowing that his parents were expecting him to succeed at school, in order not to regret their decision to send him after all, he devoted himself to discovering all he could. It was in these first few years that his interest in history began. It was also when he learned to play Quidditch, at first as a way to try to connect with his classmates, but it became one of his favorite pastimes over the years.
In Emil’s fifth year, he was surprised to find a prefect badge along with his school papers for the year. Getting the honor started to change his opinion of himself: maybe he was not just a Muggleborn student playing catch-up to the rest of the school, but someone who could achieve great things in the wizarding world. He started to consider what he could do after school, hoping he could do something that his parents would be proud of in the end, and help them understand that wizards weren’t so strange and scary after all.

RP Alias: Kasia Pronouns: she/her Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw Other Characters: NADEZHDA KAREVA , SKYLAR REID , @roxanne , ISOBEL LINWOOD , MIA-ROSE LINWOOD Roleplay example: Tea, if not a solution to every problem, was at least necessary to solve any problem. This was a belief firmly instilled in Nadya by her own father, who made tea any time one of the girls was sick or sad or struggling. She was sure he'd do the same thing if any of them happened to fall pregnant, even as he would put his head in his hands, shaking his head with worry.
It was a good thing it had never happened to any of them, and yet Nadya knew from Scarlett's words that her friend's troubles with her family would be far worse. Thrown out, right when she was about to lose the safety of school? Nadya herself was excited to finally get out of the castle where professors and prefects were always breathing down their backs, but she knew not everyone had the same freedom when they were out of school. It would be a tough road without a family to help, something that couldn't be solved in one morning.
Still, tea. Even if Scarlett didn't feel like drinking it, it would warm the soul.
"I understand. If you've already gotten attached, of course you want to keep the baby." Nadya knew that they weren't even sure if Scarlett really was pregnant yet, but she also knew her roommate must have been thinking about it a lot already. There were plenty of things to think about. Like what to do about school, if Scarlett would be very pregnant by the time exams came around. Nadya had very little sense of how to tell things like how far along a pregnancy was--she'd been less than two years old when her own little sister had been born, so she had no idea what it was like. Still, she did know the basics.
But that would be for later in the discussion. Right now Scarlett was looking at her and sighing, and Nadya knew she needed to make her realize that she wasn't alone. "You'll look perfectly fine once you're out of the horrible bathroom lighting," she said, cracking a small smile. "First we find out if it's really true, then we figure out what to say to Teddy. I don't believe he would be upset."
