With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Zachary Blake Leighton is the eldest of two brothers, born and raised in Sheffield, England. Both of their parents are half-bloods. Zachary would have been a rather unremarkable person, if not for one little thing - he is a born legilimens. This little thing proceeded to be the worst bloody thing that has ever happened to him. During Hogwarts he was sorted into Gryffindor and as a stereotypical gryff he didn't seem to care much for studies. [break]
[break]
But he wasn't lazy. No. It was the legilimency. You see, his parents didn't know that this was a thing he was experiencing, and he couldn't put a word on it either. As he grew older he started thinking he was mentally ill, hearing voices and having thoughts that had nothing to do with his own life or mind -- it wasn't well until his last year that he came across information about legilimency. But by that time the damage had been done -- his exam results were utterly disgraceful, so much so that his parents were ready to disown him, and there was no bright future ahead of him. Not knowing where to turn, the next ten years of his life went down the drain. [break] [break] His parents kicked him out of the house at the age of 18, telling him that he has to make something of himself -- they felt as if their son had betrayed them somehow, leeched off of their love all these years just to be a delinquent and trouble-maker, rather than an upstanding citizen with a proper career in the Ministry. Zachary proceeded to do odd jobs here and there by the day time, spending his money on all kinds of substances that would help him drown out the chaos in his head. [break]
[break] He's been near death several times over the years, but he doesn't want to die. Most in the world he wants the legilimency to go away so his mind was his own. Somehow along the way his minor squabbles with the law landed him on a list of street informants for the Auror department (and this is the subject of his personal plot, that has already been arranged). [break]
[break] He would have died of an overdose by the age of 30 if not for one night in 2017. Zachary knocked up some random woman at a party. The knowledge that he will be a father made him firmly decide that he needed to clean up his act and be a good parent to this child, so that, if they have inherited his curse, they wouldn't wreck their life. Little Anastasia is two years old now, and Zachary shares custody with the mother, trying his best to stay clean and earn money by doing honest work to support his daughter. It's hard, but he is trying his best. [break]

Personality
As he is a character not yet played, I can offer you only a few details here. [break]
[break] One thing that is instantly noticeable is the fact that Zachary avoids looking anyone straight in the eyes. He finds that eye contact almost always guarantees at least a few stray thoughts echoing. In addition to that, hin general, he's a bit neurotic both in his movements and his speech.
[break] [break] He really loves his daughter and, even though his family, objectively, have been terrible to him, he still misses them. It is a painful mix of anger and longing. He doesn't entertain the thought of ever coming back home and everything being okay, but... Deep down he still wants to make something of himself so he could come back home, so that his child would have grandparents and all the love he didn't have.

In short, that's about it. I am not open to any romantic relationship inquiries for this character at the current moment, as I would like to play out his personal plot line first. Without further ado, lets get to the part for which you arrived here. [break]
I'm open to the player having a lot of freedom with all kinds of aspects of this character, so here are some basic things.
[break] Oliver is at least 5 years younger than Zachary; They used to be close up until Zachary turned 15 (his legilimency issues got worse); Parents favorited Oliver and didn't hide it; Oliver is NOT a legilimens; He had good grades and he is pursuing a bureaucratic career at the Ministry of your choice. [break]
Personality
I think Oliver would be kind of stuffy and no-nonsense, law above all kind of guy. He really despises Zachary's substance abuse and agrees with his parents opinion that Zachary is a failure. He hasn't seen his brother in at least five years, the last time being on his 20th birthday when they ran into each other by accident and Oliver told Zach to get away from him because he was embaressing him in front of his friends; And deep down, Oliver is jealous of Zach's ability, because he thinks he could do so much better if he was the one born with it.

Obviously this is just one part of his personality, so the rest is up to you!
