With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

It was early summer and Kaylie with a lot of doubt on her mind had taken Alana to meet her mother. They had a plan of sorts.. Alana was here to make sure her mother didn't go through with her plans, her plans to kill Kaylie on the spot the moment she set foot through the front door. It was already very unpleasant having to go to her house, the woman not bothering to pick the girls up and when she set foot in it the scent of vodka was everywhere.
The scent she smelled the moment she walked into the house was nothing like the scent she smelled now. The scent of victory.. of relief and freedom. Maybe it could've smelled better with a window or two open but Kaylie had blocked most of these things out of her mind. She had blocked the screams, the shouting, the cursing and the green flash taking over the entire house until there was dead silence. On the floor, at her feet was the woman she had called her mother her entire life. Her lifeless body just lying there.
"She's.. gone.." Kaylie didn't sound sad, she didn't sound heartbroken or hurt. With a sigh she remembered what to do and cast a spell on a ring her father had left her when he abandoned her and her mother. A ring she carried with her because she didn't want her mother to pawn it. Kaylie held the ring out and watched a swirling white substance in the diamond. With a swift and yet subtle movement, which was rare for her to do without messing up, she took Alana's hand in her own and slipped the ring around her finger.
"My soul.. in your hands.." she purred and kissed her hand. "We probably should clean this up.. maybe we can make this our little home?" It was perfectly understandable if Alana didn't want it, the house wasn't top notch but it was a house that she called home for a long time. Kaylie sighed and looked around. "Mmmm... I'm finally free.," she felt relief take over her senses and suddenly a laugh came from her lips. "Oh god I'm free!"

The lifeless body of her unofficial mother-in-law lay prone at Alana’s feet. Even as a vampire, this was the first time that the seventeen year old had been involved in the death of another person. The loose blonde curls that fell just past her shoulders shifted as Alana crouched down to get a better look. ”Her eyes haven’t changed – they’re still bloodshot and glassy,” Alana commented, as she slowly poked her finger into the open eye with increasing pressure until the sharp nail finally ruptured the globe, causing vitreous humor to gloop over her pointer. It was… Alana reached her hand up to cover her mouth as she almost vomited. The eye-gloop transferred onto the vampire’s face and Alana’s body attempted to vomit – thankfully she’d not eaten yet today, so there was no mess, no fuss.
Note to self: do not rupture eyes. You are not into that, Alana thought as she stood back up and pulled her embroidered handkerchief out to clean up the mess on her face. As she wiped, Alana watched as Kaylie cast the spell on a ring and her face lit up with a loving smile when Kaylie placed the ring on her finger. ”Your soul is bellissima,” Alana replied, wriggling her fingers so that she could see the way the light hit the ring in different ways.
”We definitely should clean this up. I honestly don’t understand how something so foul could produce such a beautiful, sexy daughter,” Alana said with a grin, using her hand with its new ring to run her fingers through Kaylie’s blonde locks briefly. ”Our own little home for the summer, hmm? I’m sure we can make the basement cold enough to keep her from stinking up too much. We’d have probably been able to make it look like an accident if I can think up a reason her eye’s goopless.”
Alana smiled and reached over to her laughing girlfriend, ”you’re free, amore,” Alana pulled at Kaylie to the nearby sofa – but instead of pulling her down onto it, Alana jumped onto the cushions and began to do a bouncey dance. ”Come celebrate!”

In not even a million years did Kaylie expect to master the spell to create a horcrux and sacrifice a piece of her soul, she didn't think the life she'd take would be her mothers because Kaylie never expected herself to take a life. She always had thought she'd be dead before her twenties and now she was looking at the woman, with one very messed up eye being dead on the floor. The cause of her fears, nightmares and he desperate needs to drink. She didn't have to be like that anymore, she had nothing to fear any longer.
"I just assume I got my father's looks." Kaylie returned with a smile and watched the ring on Alana's finger. She looked even more radiant and beautiful with it. The girl knew her father gave her that ring for herself but it looked so much better with her soul in it, on her girlfriend's hand. Kaylie glanced over to her mother as Alana mentioned the cleanup and well, she really had to clean up this mess of a house before the neighbors would suspect anything.
"The table, we can make it look like she slipped and since the coffee table is made of glass.." she suggested with a smile of her own. They could do this. This could be their little home. Kaylie felt the tug as she was lost in thought of how to make her mother's death look like an accident, maybe a heart attack of sorts when she was pulled towards the couch. She watched Alana jump on top of it to celebrate and truth be told, Kaylie was still laughing. With a swift jump she got on top of the couch and jumped along with her girlfriend.
"Oh my god, she is finally gone!" she laughed and tried to make a spin. "This means I can do so many things! We can travel! See the world!" she used a dramatic tone to her voice as if she was reciting a play. They could do so many things and her mother and her threats were no longer there. And since she was of age, Hogwarts had to deal with her being on her own in this. Kaylie didn't even look at her mother, she didn't exist anymore to her.
"Even when jumping on pillows, you're amazingly graceful." she said in an amazed tone, her smile still there. She didn't think she could stop smiling until her face starts to hurt.
