With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

It was the new school year and Rose was in her third year this time. Her parents had high hopes as she progressed through the school year and if Rose had to be honest, she didn't. She was dreading school though even when it meant she finally got to be together with her girlfriend, she also knew that her aunt would be there watching her like a hawk and unlike her mother she didn't value this school and it's education as much. She loved books, she loved reading and she wanted to make something of herself.
She just didn't like it.. here. The redhead was seated in an armchair, her hand holding a pen and the other her journal. She let out a small yawn and hummed. She loved to write in her journal, it was in a way her friend she could tell everything. Her eyes skimmed over the pages as she wrote, her mind fully unaware of her surroundings.
Dear journal,
Today is another day without Frankie. She had class very early and it robbed me of my morning kisses which I can tell you are becoming essential to provide me with the mood I need to handle humanity around me. Some of these Durmstrang girls smell so badly like wildlife, maybe I should support their decision to live with the human monstrosity that is our COMC professor.
I swear my parents are onto me, I still didn't come out to them because imagine their disappointment. Yet, everyone seems to have their eyes on me and not in the way I'd like them to.
Please let me have the strength to deal with today's idiots.
Love,
Rose G. W.
Rose almost yelped when she heard noises, whether it was a voice or just the appearance of her cousin that made her drop her journal on the floor. "Oh gosh Molly, give me a heart attack why don't you."

olly hummed faintly to herself as she hurried down the steps from the girls' dormitories to the common room. It was a pleasant enough evening and she wasn't about to spend it sitting around indoors; she was going to go and sit out on the lawns and enjoy the autumn sunlight while they still had it. Soon enough, she knew, they would be descending into the depths of winter, with frost settling on every blade of grass and every windowpane in the castle, and she'd be wrapping herself up in a million and one different garments to keep out the chill as she went down for breakfast in the morning. So she was damn well going to wear strappy tops and skirts while she still could because Merlin knew when she'd have the chance again. Spring seemed an awfully long way off at the moment, and she couldn't wait to see the daffodils and bluebells pushing through the soil, but for now, there were other things to be thinking of.
She paused on her way out to the portrait hole, spotting a familiar head of red hair poking over the top of a chair, and smiled slightly to herself as she made her way over. "Hiya, Rosie," she greeted the younger girl cheerfully, pulling up another chair and curling herself in the seat. "No need to panic- anyone would think you weren't pleased to see me!" Of course, there was probably more than a bit of truth in that, but Molly wasn't going to dwell on it and make herself miserable; there were other things that were more deserving of her attention. "So... How's it going?"

Rose wasn't opposed to the existence of her cousins, her family seemed to breed like rabbits which was something she thought was disgusting enough. Still, she adored some of her cousins and Molly was a sweet girl. She always felt like Molly was a mini grandma which didn't help much with her name being the exact same as their grandmother's. Rose liked her enough not to be bothered too much by her presence unless she started to mom her again, something she didn't like.
The redhead looked at her cousin with slightly shocked eyes as her hands shoved her journal into her backpack. No need to be seen by her cousin's eyes. "Let's not completely go there." Rose always had been stand offish, keeping her distance as comfortable as she could handle. "Things are.. going. I will not hide the fact that I am less than pleased being here." Rose had so much more things she could do outside of this school.
"How are you, Molly?" Rose asked in return, tucking her legs in as she cuddled into the big armchair.

on't I get a hug?" Molly asked with her best pout, holding out her arms to her younger cousin. It was a tragedy so far as she was concerned; loads of her cousins didn't seem to think it was cool to be found hugging your relatives in public, and to be fair they had a point, but Molly probably took just a little bit more pleasure than she should in embarrassing them in the common room. The way she saw it, it was an older relative's privilege, and she had no intention of giving it up any time soon; not if she could help it.
"I'm not too bad." Tucking a stray lock of hair back behind her ear, she gave the other redhead a serious look. "I'd be better if you'd tell me what was wrong and let me help, Rosie, but I'm not bad." Of course she was being given far too much work, but she supposed that that was just what she had to expect if she kept on getting older, and unfortunately, there seem to be no practical way of preventing it.
