With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Vivica wakes very early to prepare for the day ahead, brushing her hair and making sure that she looks as perfect as possible.
She is musical, singing and playing the violin, but is very shy about both and will not do either in front of an audience.
When nervous, she winds her hair around her fingers as displacement activity.
She has an interest in genealogy, and this is how she spends some of her free time.
Likes: The sea, pastel colours, exploring new places, anything chocolate, cats.
Dislikes: Hot weather, leather, milk, floral prints, dogs.
Boggart: Her father, telling her she's a disgrace.
Mirror of Erised: Her mother alive again, telling her that everything will be all right.
Patronus: Swan.

Viv frowned slightly to herself as she drew the bow across the strings once again, and, once again, failed to achieve the right note. Something was wrong here; she was sure it wasn't her fingering, but it definitely wasn't going as it should be, and... There was a groan next door, and the girl hurriedly returned the instrument to its case, rubbing her hands over her skirts in the way that her aunt had always insisted was unladylike. But her mother had merely smiled, in the gentle way that she had, and told her sister to leave her alone, that there would be plenty of time for decorum.
She paused in the doorway, her eyes suddenly misting over. But suddenly, there didn't seem to be enough time left for anything, and it was all horribly, horribly sudden. Her mother had been fine just a month ago, and now... Closing her eyes firmly for a moment, she regained her composure and set off to see what was the matter.

Standing solemnly before her father's desk, the blonde nodded at what she felt were the right moments, though, truth be told, she wasn't particularly listening. Her eyes were fixed on the small portrait that hung behind him- her mother; long gone, now, but never forgotten. At least, never by Viv, although she sometimes thought that, for all the portraits and little reminders of the man's wife for fifteen years that had been left around the place, her father could often act as though she had never existed. Which was by no means a good thing. The man had always been irascible and short-tempered, but her mothered had tempered him, rendered him bearable, if not pleasant. Without her, he merely became more and more arrogant, dictatorial, argumentative... cruel. What she was supposed to have done, she was never quite sure, but it was always a most terrible crime in her father's eyes, and apparently, she was a traitor to her pureblood heritage.
Her mother had never cared about her pureblood heritage.

With a faint sigh, Viv fastened the clasp on her robes and looked herself up and down in the mirror. She looked passable at first glance, but of course that was never good enough, and so she looked a little deeper, catching the stray hair on her collar, the slight tarnishing of the button... She had to look further because, apparently, everyone else did, and that would simply be unacceptable. Well... That seemed to be about it. One last look, and she stepped out of the bathroom, offering a slight smile to her roommates before picking up her bag, hanging it over her shoulder, checking to make sure that she hadn't wrinkled the fabric, and then crossing the room to step out into the corridor, smoothing her skirt self-consciously across her knees... Another day, another Galleon.

Walking down Knockturn Alley was not in and of itself a crime, but it was at least a somewhat suspicious action, and a woman in her position could not really afford too much suspicion; it made her more prominent clients nervous, and nervousness was never a good thing where business was concerned. Satisfied that she was unobserved, she continued on her way, eyes now turned to the row of shops on her left as she contemplated the contents of their front windows. All sorts of things looked rather interesting, and she took a few mental notes of things that she really ought to come back for later, but at the moment, she could not spare the time; she had an appointment to keep, and her father's business partners were not the sort of people with any appreciation at all for lateness. She was already cutting things rather closer than she ought to be thanks to an appearance in court overrunning somewhat, but one could hardly tell even a magistrate to get a move on with impunity, and so she was having to make the time up as best as she could now.
