With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

Hey everyone, with the revival of the site and the turnover of the plot, we have a few things we wanted to mention so that everyone is on the same page:
- Due to the decrease in werewolf attacks, Hogwarts has made the decision to allow students from fifth year and above back into Hogsmeade. However, visits are not permitted two days prior/after the full moon - this is to keep the students safe and a necessary precaution. Students will not be able to sneak out during these times either.
- The creation of Durmstrang students/staff members is permitted and 100% encouraged! To encourage the creation of these Durmstrang characters, we have decided to waive the usual activity requirements. This only applies to one Durmstrang character per person and it means you do not have to follow the waiting periods/posting requirements usually requested.
The vacant positions for Durmstrang Professors to fill are as follows: Ancient Runes Professor, Arithmancy Professor, Dark Arts Professor (an elective course that only focuses on the theory side of dark arts, typically taught at Durmstrang), Healing (an elective course taught at Durmstrang), History of Magic Professor, Healer, and Caretaker.
As for students, we are currently permitting a free third student (that's right, no need to purchase a student exception) if you already have two in the year you want to create a Durmstang student for. If you already have three students in the year you wish to create a Durmstrang student for, then you are allowed to purchase a student exception to create them. Please keep in mind that eventually, students must return back to Durmstrang. Another thing to note is that students must be half-blood or pureblood, as Durmstrang does not accept muggleborns.
- Classes are now optional for Professors to write, however we do still encourage that they are written as they provide great opportunities for students/Professor characters to interact. If you are writing a class, please note that you are expected to write a class for each age group to be inclusive - this is so certain age groups are not excluded and one age group does not become extremely focused on.
- We have chosen the new prefects for fifth year, the Head Boy and Head Girl, and Quidditch captains. These have been based on activity and which characters we believe are suitable for the roles. If your character has been chosen and you wish for them not to remain in this position, please contact staff on discord to let them know.
