With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
I know it's all soppy and shit but I really, really miss you. It feels really lonely without you here Hope you're doing okay with what you have going on.
Um. I also wanted to give you a heads up before your brother did, but last Quidditch game I got hit pretty badly and ended up with a fractured shin. I'm mostly okay now 'cause the matron made me taken Skele-Grow which, by the way, is real gnarly, but... yeah. That's what's been going on with me, and I didn't want you to send me a howler or something for not telling you.

Hi Sally,
I am doing okay, mostly. It's a lot better now that it's spring. I miss you too, though. I got really used to sharing a room with you and now the people I sleep next to are nothing like you. Maybe someday, again, if things change.
I don't send Howlers, 'cause I don't know how to make one, but I'm still glad to hear you're okay. A broken bone isn't too bad, as long as they got you all patched up. That's the secret, having someone around who's good at healing stuff, isn't it? I never had Skele-Grow but I know it works good. I bet you'll be right back on your feet in no time.
Your friend, Rue.

Are all the people you sleep next to hella old? Are some of them nice? I really want to see you when it's the summer holidays, maybe when we've figured out where you are or something?
You should ask my ma. She's great at sending howlers... as you'd know. I'm still traumatised from the one back in first year after I got detention. They got me patched up and healed in a day but it was the longest day and I feel like I let down my team. It sucks, man.

Hi Sally,
No, not everyone is super old. There's a couple of kids around here and they're pretty nice. None of them are you, though. I think I know a lot better where I am now, but the thing is, I'm not allowed to say it in a letter to you, so we'll have to do that in the summer, okay? So that we can meet up.
I bet you didn't let down your team, though. I know you and I know you're totally tough. Plus I saw you in the last game you played and your were really good. It's nice to be part of a team, isn't it?
We should totally meet up in the summer. I'm really keen for that because it feels like forever since I've seen you which is kinda true because it's been a few months. Are the kids your age?
Yeah, I kicked arse in the last game, didn't I? It just really sucks going from that high to such a low in the game. I want to kick butt every game, not just in one or two. Oh well, next year I'm going to do better. It's pretty good to be part of a team but ours is a mess. Can you believe that? Out of all the Quidditch teams in the school, I think we're the most funky dynamic wise. We're all so different.

Hi Sally,
I haven't met anyone who's exactly our age. There's one girl who's just a couple years younger, but she's not a wolf like me. That's alright though, she's nice. Maybe you can teach me some Quidditch stuff when we see each other. You know I was never really good at flying stuff, but maybe you would be a better teacher!
You have a lot of years left to kick butt, so I bet you'll do it a lot more. Maybe the mess people will graduate and then you'll be the captain. That would be so cool. You'd get the fancy bathroom and everything!
Wow. I never thought that people that young could.... uh, live with you without having something in common. I'll definitely teach you some Quidditch stuff! I'll get you on a broom and whacking bludgers are unsuspecting prats in no time. Watch out, world! Rue Howard's gonna kick some serious arse.
I'm soooo cranky that I have to wait 'til I'm fifth year or up to be captain but I hope someone cool gets captain for now. They better recommend me too when they leave though.

Hi Sally,
Well, we both have big brothers, right? They've lived with us and it hasn't been weird. I never had anything like a little sister before, though. It's kind of cool. I promise, the people here are nice to me.
(Well, most of them. But with her it's because she's training me and she just wants me to be good at things, so it's alright.)
I'll totally write the school and tell them to make you captain when you'll be a fifth year. They probably won't listen to me, but I bet they won't have to, 'cause you'll just be that good! Until then, you just have to kick everyone's arse. I bet you will.
