With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

history
The flames leaped higher and higher, and Skye whimpered softly to herself, retreating further into the corner of her bedroom in an attempt to escape the roaring fire and the thick clouds of dark smoke which followed. It was far from being an ideal situation; she was cut off from both the window and the door, and she imagined that the stairs were probably alight by now in any case. Still, she had more immediate problems than worrying about the rest of the house, as awful as it was to think that her parents and sisters were all out there somewhere... somehow or other, she knew, she was going to have to get herself out of here. But how? Her wand was downstairs, damnit, and she wasn't sure that she would have known what to do with it in any case, quite apart from being rather too stressed at the moment to be sure of doing anything successfully.
So, really... All that she could do was wait. With a muffled sob, the girl curled herself into a tight ball and hid her face from the heat.

Sitting somewhat awkwardly on the edge of the bed, Skye glanced around her new room and sighed faintly to herself. It was... well, it was nice, but there was something incredibly new, mundane, workaday... something that was rather closer to nothing, in fact. There was nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't hers, and that was very important. Suddenly and rather irrationally, she felt a strong impulse to cry, but the redhead resisted firmly. Of all the things that she had been through lately which might have given her reason to cry, having a new room was very definitely not one of them, even if it did come with a roommate. So far as she could tell, there was nothing wrong with the girl, and having to share was something that she'd been accustomed to since she'd attended Hogwarts...
But it was all a lot to take in. A lot to deal with. Skye took a deep breath,
She would be fine. Probably. Eventually.

OWLS. Bloody hell, she couldn't remember the last time she'd been so stressed, and though it might seem nothing to worry about after everything she'd been through, the exams were beginning to take over her life, which was a definite concern considering that it was only September and they had nearly a whole year ahead of them before reaching that point. Skye let out a long, slow groan, and unwillingly dragged her attention away from the vitally important task of surveying the number of blocks in the opposite wall, returning her gaze to the sheet of parchment in front of her, with about an inch of neat cursive writing at its head. Generally, she didn't have the slightest problem in getting through things without actually devoting a huge amount of time or energy to them, but lately, things didn't quite seem to be working out that way, and the transition was not a pleasant one for her to get used to.
Flopping back against the bed, the redhead groaned with feeling. Merlin above, why did people have to be so stupid? It wasn't even as if she'd ended up in Hufflepuff, where she might have expected, if not stupidity, then at least a hint of benevolent slowness of thought, but this was Ravenclaw, and she had thought when she'd first been Sorted there that she might finally find people with whom it was possible to have an intelligent conversation. However, it had become apparent to her this week that no such thing was true, and all that associating with Ravenclaws did was make it more difficult to win an argument even when you were so evidently in the right. Of course, she could cope; opposition was by no means new to her; but it was a definite irritation all the same.
She couldn't stay here all day, and she folded her legs beneath her, getting to her feet with a soft sigh. Her bag was around here somewhere, Skye knew, but she couldn't be bothered to search for it, and she was sure that someone would lend her a quill when she got downstairs. Ancient Runes. One of the joys of life...
