With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Meet Kieran Finnigan, a 13 year old boy who is currently a second year Gryffindor. He's besties with SALLY JORDAN and Samuel Thomas down below, having spent most of his childhood hanging out with them and other children who were apart of Dumbledore's Army like his dad, Seamus Finnigan, was.
Surprise: he's also a step-sibling of Samuel Thomas too. How did that happen, you may ask? Seamus Finnigan had Kieran to a muggle woman when he was in his mid-20s as a result of a one night stand. After Kieran was born, he spent equal parts of his time with his dad and his mum, the two of them getting on amicably through their mutual parenting agreement.
When Kieran was about three years old, things started developing between Seamus and Dean, and the two of them started to realise that they each meant something to one another that was more than just best friends. The two of them slowly embarked on a relationship together, and they have been a couple for the last decade. This means that Kieran and Sam grew up as brothers who spent about 50% of their time together when they were at their dad's house, as well as best friends.
With the history out of the way, here's a few things I have in mind about Kieran: - For his personality, I think he can be a bit wild and off the rails. He's a bit of a hothead and he likes to prank people. He gets into trouble a lot over being loud with Sally in class. I can imagine the two of them spending a lot of time in detention together. - His face claim is Ethan Cutkosky
Meet Samuel Thomas, a 13 year old boy who is currently a second year Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. He's besties with SALLY JORDAN and Kieran Finnigan listed above, having spent most of his childhood hanging out with them and other children who were apart of Dumbledore's Army like his dad, Dean Thomas, was.
As you can gather from Kieran's ad, he's a step-sibling of Kieran. However, he was not born as a result of a one night stand. Instead, his dad Dean was married to a woman of your choosing and Sam was their first and only born child. As reasonably young parents, Sam put a lot of strain on Dean and his wife's relationship, and the wife started to become jealous of Dean's close relationship with his best friend, Seamus. Her jealousy drove a wedge between Dean and her, and when Sam was one years old, they split. It was messy at the time and they even went to court over the custody of Sam. It was eventually decided that it would be split 50/50. Despite the custody agreement, things never became amicable between Dean and his ex-wife, and she was decidedly not happy when Dean ended up actually getting together with Seamus when Sam was one years old. She has voiced her unhappiness quite a few times over the years, even in front of Sam, and it has not gone well... Sam tries his best to block her out.
With the history out of the way, here's a few things I have in mind about Sam: - For his personality, I think that Sam very enthusiastically participates in the pranks pulled by Kieran and Sally, however he has enough restraint to stop before things go too far. Same as in class - often he'll joke around with them, however he'll shut up and tell them to hush up before he lands his butt in detention. Sam is probably the most scholastic of the three and often ends up helping them out with their assignments... however, he's no dummy and often blackmails them into giving him sweets beforehand because it's their fault for not listening and he's not getting the raw end of the deal. - His face claim is Caleb McLaughlin
