With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Well. Gabriel had mulled over the interesting (read: disgusting and infuriating) information that his twin brother had basically lorded over him recently. He had game, was a point that had been stressed and despite being the more culturally refined twin - literally all the good qualities had been given to Gabriel inutero which was a fact that he maintained even now - the competitive, toxic masculinity that he usually managed to keep on a tight leash deep in the basement of his mind (except on Quidditch game days of course)... well. It was fuelling the boy’s desperate need to rectify the situation.
What’s the situation? the reader may ask. The situation, my friends, is that Greyson was basically banging Ollie’s fourth year sister every chance he got (unconfirmed, of course, but what do details matter between boasting brothers?) and even his baby sister, sweet and innocent little thing that she was ... thirteen and been spied getting far more familiar with another of Ollie’s family members than Gabriel thought entirely appropriate. More than hand holding at thirteen? Yeah, that Charlie chick was lucky she was a chick.
Yet Gabriel, clearly crowned Chump of the Year, had been content for the past six months with loving little kisses and affectionate hugs. HUGS. Meanwhile Greyson just looked at another Jones their knickers dropped.
Deep breaths. Gabriel has a plan to change this and get him some. Honestly though, would all the other Jones’ back right off? At what point was it incest? Was it ok because they weren’t all biological siblings..? The Hufflepuff had been compulsively folding napkins into elaborate settings and unfolding again to start all again. The thoughts were driving him loopier than Greyson on one of his many benders and ... well, that did not look good on Gabe. The blonde twin glanced up into a shiny surface and smoothed down a stray hair before returning to his ruminations.
”You’re such a dick, Grey,” the boy gruambled at the napkin as he messed it up. If only it was his beloved bastard brother’s face, it might feel better. No, second thoughts... wouldn’t want to bruise a knuckle unnecessarily, Gabe. Be reasonable. ”... macarons. That’s what this news needs. Or soufflé. Or truffles with blue cheese. Mmm. Wine.” Maybe if he could get Olivia on the wine, he’d have more of a chance?
Today was a day filled with new things. Her brother David had come to her with his concerns once again which wasn't something Ollie minded but this time it wasn't him judging who she was dating but who Clary had been spotted with. Apparently in class what Ollie thought was a cute possible friendship, others had a different opinion on her sister and Greyson. Ollie wasn't sure whether or not she was supposed to approve of it or not, this wasn't her life or her life choices when it came to what Clary did but David being the big brother ended up saying he was going to have a talk with her.
This left Ollie wondering what was expected of her these days. She had been a big sister to many of her siblings but never the authority type. She was supportive over their own decisions and choices but was that enough? Wasn't that what they wanted from her in the first place? Ollie never really had bad feelings towards Greyson aside from feeling sorry for him because he must've been hurt a lot to be the way he is now. Would she tell him that? No. She showed him the kindness she showed everyone because in the end that's who she is.
Ollie was so close to starting her life as a healer. She knew about the tragic thing that happened at the hospital and she was so worried about the people who could've gotten hurt by it. But she was still very convinced she wanted to heal people, help them no matter who they were. As she walked into the hufflepuff basement with her hands tucked into the pockets of her hooded sweater the girl's eyes laid upon her boyfriend who seemed troubled. He seemed to be mumbling about food and honestly she was quite hungry so the girl just walked up to her boyfriend with a small smile.
"Hello there." She said and plopped down beside him. "You seem upset? Did someone upset you today?" she asked and cocked her head to the side a bit before looking at the napkin that looked quite, harmed. "Did the napkin bite your fingers?" she asked a bit confused. Did he charm a napkin to fight with it? Ollie looked at Gabriel for answers and chewed on her bottom lip.
Too busy wallowing in his thoughts, Gabriel had completely missed the fact that Ollie had walked into the common room. If he had then it would have been great, but alas his girlfriend saw the tail end of his hissy-fit and Gabriel’s deep, troubled eyes looked up to see her slide into the seat next to him. ”Hello Olivia,” he said with a forced smile. ”Me? Upset? I guess perhaps I was before you came along,” his voice was softer than silk as he moved to wrap an arm over the girl’s shoulder. ”... did the napkin bite me? Goodness no. I was just practicing folding them but this one was being more stubborn than a Ravenclaw trying to convince you they’re smarter than you.”
Looking into those big blue eyes, Gabriel leant forward whilst his arm around Ollie’s shoulder pulled her in for a kiss. It started gentle, just a small brush of his lips against hers that became deeper as the moments continued. Her lips felt like soft delight and she tasted as sweet as her smile was. Breaking away to breathe, Gabriel leant his forehead against Ollie’s as he whispered, ”you shouldn’t chew on your lip Ollie, no matter how incredibly sexy it makes you look.”
It was funny that when she spent time with Gabriel, he was the only one calling her by her full name, no matter how many times she told him he didn't have to. He was so charming and sweet that Ollie never even minded or reminded him that he could just call her Ollie. The blue eyed girl listened to him and though his voice made her melt inside, she tried to focus on what he said more. "Why were you upset before I came here?" she asked him with her curious look on her face that also expressed worry.
As he wrapped his arm around her she just cuddled up to him a bit, taking in his scent and gosh he smelled good. Did she smell good? Oh golly what if she didn't? What if she smelled like a villager while he was a prince? She definitely compared him to prince charming because the signs were there! "Oh dear, do you fold them like swans? I have seen them in restaurants sometimes." she reached out for the napkin that was being stubborn. "But most Ravenclaws are smarter than me." she said with a slight smile on her own lips.
She didn't mind them being smarter than her. Ollie caught Gabriel's eyes with her own and soon she felt his lips against hers as well. She had been kissing him for a long time but this kiss felt a bit different, not the way they kissed before and she started to feel a bit warm all over. Did someone just turn the heat up or was it Gabriel radiating the heat because Ollie felt like her skin was about to be set on fire. Ollie had to catch her breath and her cheeks surely were flushed red as she did so. "I'm sorry it's a force of habit." she admitted feeling a bit ashamed.
"It makes me look sexy? Really?" she didn't think of herself that way but she wasn't surprised her boyfriend did because she thought her boyfriend was sexy and she didn't even know if he saw himself that way because she never asked. "I'll try to stop." she didn't know if it would work but she could give it a shot. "S-so the kiss was... different. In a good way. I liked it a lot." she rambled a bit. Ollie took off her jacket because she felt like she didn't need it, the warmth from the kiss was still very much there.

"Oh just my brother being a total pillock," Gabe tried again to wave off his earlier grump of a mood with a strained smile, though there was the very evident clench of his jaw for the more observant to pick up on. When was Greyson not a pillock? But recently, with his getting to hump Olivia's little sister like the horndog he was, he'd become insufforable. Still, it wasn't something that he particularly wanted to discuss with his sweet and innocent girlfriend. Still, he couldn't help the nagging fact that he had been dating Olivia for what felt like (a child's) forever... whereas Grey just got the good parts.
"Ah yes, swans," Gabe said with an indulgent chuckle as the girl snugged into his embrace he worked hard with one of his arms still wrapped around her shoulders to fold the napkin into a swan. It was a relatively easy fold, if truth be told, and if a restaurant had one of them on the table Gabriel walked straight back out. No classy restaurant worth its weight in Michelin stars put swan folds on their table. "I can teach you if you'd like. I'm more partial to the sleek and simple folds - there's elegance in such things as the triple pocket. If you can master the waterlily napkin fold though, it's one of the prettier artistic folds."
Gabriel frowned when Olivia said that most Ravenclaws were smarter than her. Had she ever met the vacuous Viola? The dim-witted David, her brother? His brother's words regarding Olivia's own intelligence flashed through his mind in that moment and he shook his head to rid himself of it. "That's just the Ravenclaw propaganda that you're buying into. Tell me you don't believe all Slytherins are big-bad-meanies or that my brother is braver than me just because he's Gryffindor and I'm not?"
With their shared kiss, Gabriel found himself smiling into it because the girl was rather responsive - it was hard for him to take a breath because he wanted more. He let out a rough, lust-filled chuckle as Ollie asked if she really looked sexy, "very sexy," he nodded and ducked his lips back down to hers for a follow up snog. He was feeling just as warm as Ollie, but he didn't take much notice as his hands ran up her leg and onto her hip. "Do you need help with taking anything else... off?"Whoa what? That came from nowhere.
Even if you beat her to death with a handkerchief she would not be able to tell all the folds you could make with them. These things were often quite fun to see when you entered a restaurant but with the large amount of family Ollie had, they didn't go out that often. Ollie was very oblivious to which restaurant was better than the other. As long as there was food she liked, it was good to her. Still, she knew her boyfriend had a more exotic taste for food and she would never stop him from letting her experience it either.
"Waterlilies sound amazing, do you know how to fold those?" she had asked him with a curious tone to her voice. Ollie herself never really felt like the artistic one, her family had many artistic members, like Charlie, but Ollie liked who she was. She wasn't the most intelligent like David the writer but she was smart in her own way. She knew her classes, never failed a single test.. there was nothing in her opinion to be concerned about. Her medical knowledge was far more on point than anything else. "That is true, though I must admit when it comes to healing and medicine I do know a lot about that." she responded, a smile to her face. Their kiss was really something Ollie hadn't experienced before, not in the way she experienced his kisses. Usually they were soft, sweet and gentle. Now, they're rougher, his chuckle sounded different and Ollie didn't mind. Truth be told she liked it, she really did and maybe at that moment the thoughts of her roommates should have explained what was happening but what girl in the right mind would think of her roommates when she was kissing her boyfriend? None, so she didn't.
Gabriel telling her she was sexy was new to her, he often called her beautiful sure, but sexy? Not really. The girl never even saw herself that way even when her best friend made sure she did look sexy for her boyfriend. The follow up kiss was just as intense, just as warm and she felt her entire body heat up like she was on fire from the inside. Her hair turning a shade of shiny silver for a brief moment. "N-not in the common room.. people can see us?" she said, almost gasping for air.
