Quirks and Habits: Christian incessantly raps his fingers on any available surface. When he’s bored, it’s a slow tap but when he’s nervous, it turns fast-paced almost non-stop. He finds it very difficult to sit still and is constantly adjusting his position on a seat. Surprisingly, he doesn’t have the same problem on a broom.

HISTORY

Christian Moore was born in London in 1986. He was very much planned. His parents had met in the late 70s and had a very good relationship. Back then his father had been in university, studying to be an accountant. His mother was studying art and illustration.

Christian was born when the two were well established in their job and forever home, and so was very well set in the world growing up. His parents were muggles, so he went to a muggle school knowing nothing of magic. He dreamed of becoming an astronaut.
His first sign of accidental magic was when he was eight years old. He was playing on the swings at school, and imagining he was a rocket ship, blasting off to space. He swung higher and higher, and then jumped. But instead of falling, he sailed into the air and floated gently back to safety on the other side of the playground. The students and supervising teachers were terrified, and his parents were called he was immediately taken to A&E but no bones were broken. Everyone was baffled, but eventually dismissed it to a fluke accident.

Christian and his parents were a bit more than overwhelmed when he received his letter and met the Hogwarts professor assigned to him. He read through as many history books as he could get his hands on in his first year in attempt to relate to his peers, and found friends talking about the imposing power of You Know Who and his followers. He missed his second year at Hogwarts after the death of Albus Dumbledore. At first, he was disappointed, but after hearing about his friend’s experiences, he felt extremely lucky to have been home.

At school, he played Quidditch and was captain of the Hufflepuff team in his final year. After graduating he moved away from playing the sport and got a job in the Quidditch store in Diagon Alley while training to be an umpire. His first game was one between two smaller British teams and he loved it. Before becoming a Hogwarts professor, he umpired two world cups.

Roleplay example: Bryn’s eyes rested on the marble floor of the pavilion as Louis led her over to the well. She was having trouble hearing what he was saying, sounds swimming just outside her hearing range. She was plucked out her stupor as the wooden well cover scraped over the stone. She looked up at Louis.
His eyes were glassy and sightless, gazing into the depths of the well. Bryn could see nothing in the darkness, try as she might. Her eyes straining, she wondered briefly whether Louis was so entranced by the water at the bottom. Did some elements whisper secrets to their masters?
Bryn tripped over the steps of the pavilion into the brambles and weeds below. Her knees buckled but Louis kept pulling her along. They ran past the house. She was falling every few metres, and finally she managed to wrench her arm from Louis’ grip.
“STOP!” she shouted. Her voice echoed under the smoke clouding the night sky. Louis kept going. They were now closing in on the dense trees on the other side of the house. “What did you see in the well?!” She cried, trying to divert his attention, “Where are we going?!”
