With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Rafael had to say if he had a favorite group to pick, then the older students would be his favorite. Despite the fact they had an attitude like no other, but they also were all in the class for a reason. Which was the fact that all these students were good at this particular subject and were good enough to be apart of his class. Even if everyone had been good in their way when it came to this subject. The man liked to think that the students who would walking through his door were all going be interesting in all that he had to say about this subject. The man had planned to start this new year off with discussing galaxies. And wanted to see what the students knew about galaxies, and see if they believed there were many galaxies that were beyond just the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies, and how he thought it could be interesting.
He heard the students coming from a distance, and he smiled when the first of them came in and he said. "You all know what to do, just take a seat and I hope your holidays were good. Because we are getting back into work right away, because many of you know that this half the year is when all your exams begin. And we'd want our seventh years to do particularly well." he said with a smile. Hoping that his students would dilly dally and be willing to work. The man knew that he could be strict with his older students, but these students were certainly not stupid. And it wasn't like he had to go easy on them like he was with the younger students. After all his students had arrived and he was ready for the lesson to begin, the man got up and begun to speak.
"Now that you all have come into class, we shall be starting right away with talking about galaxies." he said with a smile. Hoping that he had their attention, "Now who can tell me what a galaxy is?" he asked his students hoping to get an interesting answer out of his students. Rafael didn't feel dilly around when it came to this subject.
Rebekah had no problem taking her seat when she walked in and when the class began Rebekah had to admit that she was a little excited since this was a favorite subject of hers and she'd be damned if she let her knowledge go to waste when it came to Astronomy. Rebekah heard the question asked by the Professor and after thinking how to word it and praying that no one else answered, Rebekah raised her hand briefly before giving her answer. "A Galaxy is made up of gas, dust, stars of the solar system held together by the form of gravity sir" Rebekah answered.

Although she aspired to become a healer (if her NEWTs were good enough, a worry that constantly plagued Grace's mind) and Astronomy wasn't a required subject for that career choice, Grace still kept it because she enjoyed Astronomy. She loved seeing the stars, exploring the night sky through her telescope, learning about the planets and the constellations and... everything, really. She always had, and she always would.
Climbing up the steps of the Astronomy Tower, Grace gave Professor Narro a small smile as she took in his words. Galaxies... that wasn't too difficult a subject, or at least not yet. It could get harder during the class, but Grace hoped it wouldn't get too difficult to the point that she couldn't participate. As a Ravenclaw girl in the year above Grace answered her question, Grace wondered if there'd be another chance to speak up, albeit probably a bit nervously in her case.
Truth be told, David had better things to do than learning about stars and such. But in order to be a good writer, he should know these things. Maybe one day he would write something as great as Star Wars, and he’d be famous for it. This was a class for his research, and his grades weren’t all too bad either. He wasn’t worried about the upcoming exams at all. In fact, he was getting prepared for them. Better safe than sorry, yes?
So as soon as he arrived into the class, he had found a seat near a Hufflepuff girl from his year, and had given her a tiny wave in greeting before he had pulled out his items he needed for this class. He was ready.
Oswald wasn’t deep into this class, but if he wanted to graduate with good grades - he would have to deal. He didn’t choose to be in this class because it was interesting, he just wanted a class that seemed easy enough to get the grades he needed. Tonight, he had just wished he was with Chelsea instead of being back at the castle.
It was nice to spend the holiday with his girlfriend without worrying about the wizarding government getting in the way entirely.
There was a low grumble from the Slytherin male as he had taken a seat in the back and crossed his arms over his chest. Time to be bored out of his mind.
Rafael hated waiting around with the older students, because he knew things could go south fast. Just from what he heard from his colleagues. And Rafael was not about to have his classroom turn into a huge circus with the students who are supposed to be role models to the student body. It just didn't look good on his part, and when Miss. Greenhill had gave a response on what a galaxy smiled. "Good job, and that will be ten points to Ravenclaw." he said as he went in front of his desk.
"Galaxies are something that we got hundreds of, and something that is also very fickly to deal with. Now can anyone tell me just how many galaxies, we have and what is our neighboring galaxy?" he asked with curiosity. As it had been the Andromeda, and he was curious just how much his students knew. Because he knew a lot, and how dangerous it could be.
Just hoped his students knew the dangers of all that had gone on in the Galaxy.

When Professor Narro rewarded Rebekah ten points to Ravenclaw, Grace sent the older girl a small smile before listening to Professor Narro's next question as he asked all about galaxies. Tentatively raising her hand, recalling the readings she had done for Astronomy over the Christmas break, Grace raised her hand and answered softly, "They estimate about two trillion galaxies, right? I mean, they don't know for certain and really can only say that there's something like... um, was it 170 billion? With... with facts and everything, but a lot of muggle scientists have taken a guess there's more than we can see."
