With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Sofia had just gotten done a photo shoot for a new Wizard Magazine and she was going to be the cover, she honestly didn't mind being the cover but whenever she did get a chance to be on the cover she always felt honored and knew that she was doing something right. With all that she has been through with her family dramatics, just knowing that with all that pain and suffering she was able to make a name for herself. She was always everywhere when she went somewhere, so Sofia did what she usually did on a Friday night and go out for a drink. As she walked into the bar, she took a seat at the bar and ordered herself a martini.

It was a Friday afternoon which, to Teresa, was the prime time for seducing people, whoever they may be. She found that at the end of the week, that people tended to be at their easiest, wanting to let go of whatever stress the week had incurred.
Usually the stress was from from their jobs which made Teresa's teeth grit behind her smile because they were so fortunate, so lucky, yet they didn't see it. Teresa had no hope of getting a job, not with the way the world ran at the moment. A werewolf earning a pretty penny was unheard of. The 'best' she could ever doing was get some underpaid, dodgy job, and even those were hard to come by.
So instead, she settled for making money the only way she knew how... by using her body to her advantage, taking vulnerable men and women home, then raiding their house whilst they slept. Sometimes, if she was lucky and somebody was stupid, she was able to lift wallets from people's pockets. But often, the risk was far too great for that. At least in the privacy of somebody's home, an undercover auror's eyes couldn't be watching.
Turning the corner, Teresa pushed open the door to the bar, eyes seeking somebody out... and landing on a woman at the bar. She was well-dressed, polished. An excellent target, and after straightening her braids, Teresa plastered on her most charming smile. "Hi. Looking for a drinking buddy?" she said sweetly. What the woman didn't know... was that Teresa planned on leaving her with the tab. "I love your shoes, by the way. Stood out from across the room."
While drinking her martini she heard footsteps but thought it was just someone coming to the bar for a drink, a female's voice was heard and it took Sofia a few seconds to realize that the female voice was talking to her. Sofia turned to see a woman with braids and simply smiled. "Hi, yes I would love one, it gets quite boring when I'm here by myself" Sofia gestured for the other female to take a seat beside her. When the other girl talked about Sofia's shoes she smiled. They were from Mulan so she was hoping they did justice. "Thank you, they're new and I am glad I could put them to good use" she simply replied. "So what would you like to drink? My treat" Sofia handed the other woman a menu to look at.

"Mm, yes. I imagine it would. I'd hate for you to feel too lonely," Teresa said, voice cloying like honey as she slid into the seat next to the woman, throwing a few of her braids over her shoulder as she crossed her legs.
Holding her hand out, Teresa decided to introduce herself first. "Beth." It was a simple, easy false name. One that Teresa had been using ever since she was cast out onto the streets a few years back. Nobody questioned the name Beth because it was so normal. It made it harder to hunt her down later too, if she ended up causing trouble with this lady.
"You're very fortunate, being able to buy the best money can afford." Teresa used to be able to. She'd grown up with plenty of galleons in her bank account, although it was rare she used it on clothes. Back then, she'd much preferred spending it on books and puzzles and things that challenged her. When the offer of a drink was posed, Teresa's hand went out to rest on the woman's arm. It was kind... and easy. Very easy. This chick must have been loaded. "A tequila please."
Sofia didn't know if the girl was being genuine or being sarcastic, so the young girl just rolled with the punches, she'd figure it out later when she was alone and could reflect on what was going on here. "Yes it would" she replied before taking a sip of her drink, she loved coming to this bar and having a good time, she sometimes met people and sometimes didn't, she was glad to have company tonight though. When the other woman held out her hand and introduced herself, Sofia nodded and took her hand. "Sofia" she replied.
When it came to what the woman said about her being fortunate she simply shrugged a bit. "I don't always buy the clothes I wear, I'm a model so whatever I model or take a picture in they let me keep so that I know I was the first ever to wear the piece. I do have clothes that I bought but mostly everything I got from modeling from the clothes to shoes to accessories" Sofia answered honestly. She took a sip of her drink and waved the waiter over. "May I have a tequila and another martini please, thank you" she ordered before turning back to the other girl.

The girl's reply to Teresa saying she'd hate for her to be lonely was short, and Teresa wondered for a moment if she was going about this the wrong way. Maybe the woman wasn't into the sweet approach, but into somebody a bit rougher around the edges. She could do that too, but first she wanted to gauge the situation because once you went 'nasty,' it was hard to transition back to soft and sweet. "Sofia... with a 'ph' or a 'f'?" she asked curiously, crossing her legs. "I 'spose 'Beth' can really only be spelled one way. There's no mystery when it comes to the name, although... people are never sure whether it's a nickname for Bethany or Elizabeth."
"Oh, so do you not make enough money for to afford your own clothes?" Teresa asked, brows raising because this woman was the definition of privileged. She had a good job and yet she was given clothes, as well as probably a handsome stack of galleons. Teresa wondered if perhaps this woman had ever had to face any sort of hardship in her life, had to scrape up money out of thin air. Judging by her appearance? No. Teresa doubted that very much. "How long have you been modelling for? I've heard it's incredibly hard to crack into the industry."
Sofia took a sip of her drink and looked at the girl named Beth sitting besides her, for some reason this girl kept going in thought and it left a silence between the two but Sofia always knew that everyone dealt with their own level of drama in life and that is probably what was happening here. The model looked at the girl once more when she began to speak and ask how her name was spelled. She smiled a bit. "It's spelled with an F, my parents thought it would be more exotic in a way I guess, but I like it quite a lot, I mean my name could totally be worse then what it is" she exclaimed and it definitely was true. "See I was going to ask about it because I am quite curious is it short for something or is it just Beth?" She asked.
Sofia simply shook her head. "Don't get me wrong I can afford to buy my own clothes and I do, but most of my clothes are given to me after I model them for the clients and what not. I have two walk ins plus a dresser full of it, but every time at the end of the year I go through everything and give away to people who are in need of it. I like to try and give back when I know I am free and have time. Sometimes I can go two weeks without any free time because I get over booked" Sofia explained to Beth. "Well I know I never actually wanted to model, but a lot of things happened in my life personally and when I was on one of my darkest days and was trying to find a way to make a living and make a name for myself instead of the reputation my parents have put on my siblings and I growing up, I was trying on clothes to steal when an agent found me and said I had that look they were looking for and have been doing that since I was nineteen years old. Eventually I became a big name and I get to travel and meet new people and cultures and I even try to give back in any way I can" Sofia explained.
"Sorry to spring all that on you. What do you do?" Sofia asked.

By adding an 'f' instead of a 'ph' in her name, this woman's parents thought it'd make her name more 'exotic.' "Are you just British then? It sounds like the type of thing Brits would do," Teresa said. Although her parents, as tragic as they were, would never give her a less than classic name which is why she was called Teresa and her brother was called Theodore, although he strictly went by 'Theo' only. "Elizabeth. My parents thought they were people original, giving me an old-fashioned name, but I've met a lot of Elizabeth's in my time."
"So you're a glutton then? It sounds like you have a lot of clothes, even if you do give it away. Two walk-ins and a dress is excessive and if you're a 'model,' I doubt that the people receiving it will really wear designer clothes," Teresa said, before her temper flared under her skin because why the fuck was this woman giving her a sob story? Was she trying to convince Teresa she had it hard? "Sucks for those who actually want and try to be a model for all their lives, that you were just able to 'fall' into the position."
Truth be told, yes, Teresa was jealous because she was likely to never work a day in her life, but not out of choice. No, the Ministry in all it's wisdom had implemented laws that left most werewolves unemployed, on the streets, and generally miserable. When Sofia asked what she did, Teresa considered lying, saying she was some hot shot St. Mungos trainee healer but instead, she kept things semi-truthful. "I left school at a young age and because I don't have a proper wizarding education, I'm considered unemployable so at the moment, I do nothing."
Sofia watched as the other girl processed the information of her name being with an F and not the PH. Sofia didn't mind either way, her name was a pretty name and had absolutely nothing against it, it was natural to her. When asked if she was a straight up brit she laughed and nodded. "Yes I am a Brit, along with my parents. It's funny because I was named after a long lost family member but their name was spelled with the PH, but according to my mother it's not as exotic as mine. My mother liked exotic for some odd reason" Sofia simply shrugged, her mother was a character. When Beth elaborated that her name was Elizabeth she nodded. "It's a very pretty name Elizabeth, it fits you very well. A pretty name for a pretty woman" Sofia truly meant that from her heart.
When asked if she was a glutten when it came to her closet, she thought about it and it sounded just about right in a way but she never actually thought of herself as one. "I guess you could say that then. As for giving the clothes away I don't always give the designer clothes away, I give mostly my casual clothes away. Like my jeans, shorts, sweats, t-shirts, tank tops, sneakers, etc. away. I give some of the clothes given to from modeling as well but not all. I usually pass those to family members or friends since I know they'll wear them more" Sofia replied to clear up what she had meant to say. In a way she could sense some kind of anger in Beth when it came to what she did. "Believe me they're always looking to replace and find new fresh faces. It's not easy being a model though, hell I never wanted to be a model, I did it for a way out" Sofia sipped her drink.
She could see Beth looking conflicted when it came to Sofia asking what she did for a living. She was a little shocked when Beth said she couldn't get a job because of the whole not having a proper education. "That's bull shit, sometimes I cannot stand the ministry. Their rules make absolutely no sense what's so ever. Like the one with Werewolves can only work crappy jobs and barely get paid much, like come on? Like Half of them probably never wanted to be a werewolf and they're getting the short end of the stick. I know it has to be a pain to watch people do what they want to do and can't because of their DNA. The ministry needs to change their rules or their employment" Sofia did kind of despise the ministry, especially since one of her best friends lost her job because of her being a werewolf.

Bored with the conversation of names, despite her having brought it up in the first place, Teresa gave a simple hmm right up until the woman said a 'pretty name for a pretty woman.' It was then that a flirtatious grin crossed Teresa's lips and she leaned forward, giving the other woman a clear shot of her cleavage. Maybe, just maybe, she could take her home later, romance her, then raid her home for all her designer goodies. "Is that so? Well, Sofia with a 'f,' my name isn't the only thing that fits me well. I'm sure your hand in mine would too." With that, Teresa trailed her fingers across the woman's forearm, before reaching down to grip her hand.
It was interesting how the woman's story seemed to flip as Teresa questioned her on being a glutton, how she scrambled to justify herself. "You must be a modern day Mother Teresa," she said with a hum. It was funny - despite that being her given name, Teresa had never actually gotten that comparison. She wasn't giving, she never had been. Back in school, she'd looked after herself, her brother and her very small group of friends. She had no interest in helping others, especially those who hadn't deserved it. "Surely you'll become too old one day, to keep modelling, then you'll have to find a more productive career choice. I read in Witch Weekly that most women retire from modelling at thirty. Are you far off?"
When the woman went off into a tangent about werewolves, Teresa's eyes narrowed immediately because, "I didn't say I was a werewolf. I said that left school early. How presumptuous of you to assume that's why." She wouldn't tell some stranger of her lycanthropy anyway, even this woman who was ranting about werewolf rights because who was to say she wasn't trying to trick Teresa? What if she actually worked for the ministry and this was a ploy to hit her with a loitering charge for hanging out in a bar?
Sofia sensed the flirting from the other girl and Sofia had to admit that there was something about the other girl that made her want to be cautious but she also liked the thought of living dangerously when it came down to everything. Sofia had been kept in her bubble for a while now and when Sofia seen the cleavage that was on display for her by Beth, she couldn't help but move her eyes to the other girl's. She wanted to be respectful when it came to people. "Oh is that so? Well I think our hands would do justice doing other... activities" Sofia smirked before sipping her drink once more.
When using the term mother Teresa, she couldn't help but snort a little. "Believe me, I'm not a saint in any kind of situation. You must be thinking of my younger sister" Sofia was definitely far from a saint. The things she did or would do when it came down to looking out for herself made her not come close to the saint scene one bit. "I'm twenty-five, but I do know that a career outside of the modelling business is definitely a way to go, but I don't plan on retiring soon and still have time to go to university when I get a chance to pick what I want to do" thinking of what she wanted to do was hard, but one day she'll know.
Sofia was shocked at her outburst about werewolves. "Whoa, I never said you were a werewolf, I was giving an example of how the ministry is ruining the lives of those who are either forced out of education or for those who don't wish to continue it either. Besides being a werewolf shouldn't be a bad thing. My brother is one and it's hard seeing someone that I love struggle. Hell he lives in my guest house since my parents disowned him" Sofia didn't understand what the problem was with Beth, she seemed nice but now she was getting defensive for nothing.
