With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

As Vi knelt in front of her latest masterpiece-in-progress, she stuck her tongue out a little in concentration as she mixed her latest colour up. It was hard work, getting just the right tone of blue for the night sky, and as a result she had paint splattered all over her overalls, her face, her arms and... perhaps a bit regrettably, across the floor of her dorm room.
Celeste was going to kill her... or maybe not, once she saw the surrealistic paint of a woman melding into the night sky that Vi had been working on for days. The woman looked a little bit like Celeste, after all, as she'd taken a bit of inspiration from her cutie patootie features. The woman's cute lil' nose was very much the same, as was the shape of her jawline. The rest was a mixture of features drawn from Vi's imagination alone.
Hearing the tell-tale pitter patter of footprints heading towards the dorm room, Vi swiped her hand across her forehead to push back some hair... and in the process, unbeknownst to her, she smeared some of the bright blue paint into her light blonde hair and onto her forehead as a result. Oopsie daisies!
Celeste was both having a great day and a not so great one for that matter. Muggle studies for once hadn’t been a total waste of time. They had actually gone on about a subject she had been trying to figure out the summer before the current school year, not that her good mood had lasted long. The bunch of savages that students often were had of course managed to ruin her perfectly good day. The way they’d done it was rather simple, They had spilled pudding all over the front side of her robes. Instead of vanishing it they just had to try and swipe it away, only making it penetrate deeper, ghastly people.
She wasn’t even going to start on the higher year boys who had taunted her to get undressed to see how deep it had gotten. Simply brushing past them, head held high and a tripping hex behind her back as she passed a Slytherin known bully was at least some sort of vengeance. Now Celeste was walking up the stairs to the dorm, but she heard rummaging, or so she thought. That could mean plenty of things, but usually it meant that Vi was up to something again.
Celeste didn’t have any trouble with the energetic blonde, in fact she rather liked her peculiar brand of bubbly. Though Celeste usually kept the appreciation to the dorm room. As she walked in her jaw dropped a bit. Not having noticed the state Vi was in yet she was slack jawed at the painting. Color=hotpink]’’That looks like me, somewhat at least....Did you...’’[/color] With those last words she had started to address Vi more personally and seen the state she was in. The brunette had snuck into film theatres over the summer and they had been showing a rerun of The Lion King. Walking up to Vi she took her face in her left hand and with her right hand completed the line over Vi’s forehead, slowly, clearly and as deep as possible saying. ’’SIMBAAAH.’’ Before bursting into giggles.
Looking around again she couldn’t help but smile as she almost forgot she was covered in pudding. ’’I have to say, I like what you’ve done with the place Vi, but are you sure we aren’t missing bronze tones. I mean we are Ravenclaw after all. Aside from that, any suggestions to take revenge for getting pudding dumped over you sweetheart?’’

When the door inevitably creaked open, Vi put on her very best 'I'm innocent, this is fine, no really Celeste everything is fine' expression, puppy dog eyes and all as she waited for her roommate to blow-up or something. Instead, Celeste was doing her very best impression of a stunned mullet until the girl mentioned the person in the painting looked like her. Immediately, Vi grinned and bobbed her head enthusiastically. "You really think so? I wouldn't to capture, like, your essence!" she explained, waving around the paintbrush in her hand a bit dangerously. "After all, you're the bees knees. So pretty. Just, like, amazing! I wanted to make your smarty party pants shine through as well, though that's hard to translate into a painting!" She wasn't sucking up either, she genuinely meant the words she was saying.
But then Celeste was walking towards her and Vi blinked up at her, utterly confused, as the girl did the very last thing she was expecting by cupping her face. For a brief moment, Vi thought the girl was about to kiss her - something she wouldn't actually object to, at all, because yay her first girly smoochie woochie woo - but then confusingly, Celeste was smearing even more paint over her forehead and talking like Professor O'Connor (minus the Irish accent) as she said 'SIMBAAAH.' For a moment, Vi just blinked but hearing Celeste giggle set her off into laughter of her own, tilting her head back. "I think you forgot my name," she teased as her own giggles subsided. "You'd think after sharing a dorm for so long, you'd know it, you big meanie pants!"
"Oh, bronze! What a brilliant idea... although, I do like that particular shade of purple that's all over you," she said, pointedly waving her paintbrush at Celeste's robes. "I mean, it super duper suits you, you'd look fabulous if you were all-purple, but I don't think it was planned." She wondered briefly what had happened, why Celeste was looking like a plum pudding, and then the other girl said she had pudding dumped all over her. Immediately, Vi scrambled to her feet, hands covered in paint planted on her hips. "They dumped pudding on you? Ohmygosh, Celeste, why?"
Making light of the situation for a brief moment, Vi joked, "You already look like a snack, you don't need extra food to help with that." But then she was back to serious Vi and she said, "Oh! Oh, you should totally levitate their mattresses to the middle of the Black Lake. I mean, depending on which house they're in!"
‘How on earth can a girl, be this innocent, guilty, annoying and still be so horribly cute about it?’ That was the question running through the severely ticked off Celeste. The Simba action followed and she couldn’t help but press her hand over her eyes and slowly slide it down her face, giving Vi a look. Hearing the shade of purple had Celeste almost straight back into the fury, in which she had stormed to the Ravenclaw dorm. Trying very hard to suppress the anger that was welling up inside her not yet completely grown body she looked at Viola with fire in her eyes and ice in her voice.
’’My dear, dear Viola, if I knew why they did it I probably would have hexed them, not unlike the higher years…they had it coming such ghastly and boorish folk.’’ Of course the other girl had to turn it around and saying she looked like a snack already. This actually brought a small blush to Celeste’s cheeks and the brunette tried to ignore it, but not completely being able to. ’’Well I could levitate their mattresses over the black lake, but not for all of them. The Ravenclaws would be simple, but the Gryffindors and Slytherin ones would be a lot harder. What I could do is sneak into the kitchens and ask one of the elves to make sure that either all their white clothing becomes pink and that all the crests and trims on their clothes start mixing up. I mean I am not planning to get them to strip to their underwear…but accidental spilling of corrosive potion ingredients might just happen…’’
She wasn’t trying to get caught, or usually the one to take petty revenge, but being humiliated in the great hall just asked for it. That was the moment she had started stripping the ruined robes in the dorm. She had absolutely no secrets from Viola, after all the entire dorm shared the same bathroom. It made things a lot less awkward in her opinion. ’’Honestly though, you think purple is my colour? Sky blue is definitely yours, goes well with those sea green eyes of yours. Also the Simba is a reference to a muggle movie I saw over the summer Viola, how could I ever forget that pretty name of yours?’’

The look that Celeste awarded her was not a good one, and it seemed like there were literal flames crackling in the brunettes eyes. Except, well... there wasn't because literal flames would be really super duper bizarre to see in a person's eyes and Vi definitely needed to attempt a painting like that and - she was getting off-track, and quickly. Oops.
Directing her attention back to Celeste, she tried her very best to listen to her little indignant tirade, not phased in the least by the cool tone in the other girl's voice. It really took a lot to shake Vi, and hearing Celeste's cranky pants tone wasn't about to do so. Instead, Vi nodded patiently as the girl carried on and finally said, "Even though you look as pretty as a pudding covered in it, they should never have done that. But I just thought maybe you'd ticked them off somehow, like you accidentally borrowed a book or something they wanted from the library, but never mind!"
The blush in Celeste's cheeks made Vi hum in satisfaction and she was quick to say, "A pink flush definitely suits you, wow. Compliments your eyes. How pretty!" before a frown pulled at her lips. "Wait, wait... it was a person from each house? Well, except from Hufflepuff, sounds like. How many meanie weenies were there?" This whole pudding situation was sounding worse by the minute and Vi shook her head. "No, don't be a silly billy. The elves'll rat you out and that's no good at all. You don't want to land it detention!"
Thinking for a minute, Vi slapped her knees as she came up with an idea. "Ohmygosh, Celeste. I've got it! You gotta ask friends - people you trust - to sneak in and putting itching powder in the meanie weenies clothes after they've been put in the rooms, okay? Look, we can do Ravenclaws, and Liam'll probably help do the 'puffs, Clary or Felix'll do the Gryffs, and then Elena - she's super duper good at pranks and stuff - can do the Slytherins!" With a proud grin of actually coming up with a feasible grin, Vi looked up at Celeste for her opinion. "What d'ya think?"
Sitting on the floor, still absolutely covered in paint, Vi's eyes watched her dorm mate as she start to get changed, listening to Celeste's every word and nodding along. Whilst she wasn't actively perving on her roommate (well, maybe an itsy bitsy bit), she wanted to make sure Celeste knew she was paying attention.. "Purple's totally your colour! Like, a plum or eggplant colour would look ravishing on you," Vi said, voice full of confidence, and beaming when Celeste suggested that sky blue was her colour. Awesome. Maybe that's why she'd been sorted into Ravenclaw, so she could mesh with the colour scheme? When Celeste complimented her name, Vi grinned and joked, "Are you flirting with me, Tyrell? 'Cause I gotta say... I didn't actually choose my name, it's from that muggle book. The... uh... Shakespeare one?"
Trying to stay indignant when she was told she was a pretty pudding she had kept going on, not to mention that the flush in her cheeks got a little bit deeper red when Viola commented on that. Mumbling how the elves wouldn’t sell her out if she got them the right incentive, like how they’d take work away from the elves who seemed to adore work more than anything else. How muggles lived without them she knew very well, but it did make life so much easier. ’’No need to do Hufflepuff sweetie, we all know that those wouldn’t stoop to such lowlife methods. The other Merlin be damned fools, now those might very well get itching powder, or worse, in their jammies.’’
She would have so much more than just itching powder, Weasley’s wizarding wheezes gave so many options of what to put in someone’s pj’s. Irritated changing her panties for fresh ones, which for the love of all that was magic were of course plum purple, with matching bra she gave up and made a pose. ’’What if I was flirting with you Rosaline, what would you do about it? I know you didn’t choose your name, although I thought it would have been derived from the pretty flower the violet.’’
Striking another pose as she pulled on jeans and a snug t-shirt she went to sit next to Viola. ’’ I know the Shakespearian play your name comes from, but personally I think the flower suits you better. Much like your last name reminds me of roses, which can have thorns…thorns with which you helped me concoct my vengeance upon those that would cross me.’’ Revenge would be sweet for Celeste, but now she took her wand to hand and started to cast cleaning spells on both Viola and everything that shouldn’t be blue or purple.
Still not having fully figured out what she would do to the ones that had wronged her she decided to go on a totally different level of thought. ’’Say Viola, theoretically if you didn’t know me already for four years would you still ask if I was flirting with you before?’’ Celeste’s curiosity had been sparked, in many more ways than one, but for now she would settle for the more practical questions. Because questions were a lot easier to ask and therefore figure out that physical things, or magic forbid emotions. They weren’t straight lines which she very much preferred, which is why she was so direct more often than not.
"Hufflepuffs really have such beautiful souls, don't that? I've never ever really met a super duper mean Hufflepuff," Vi said brightly, shrugging. She was sure that there were some out there, but none of which she'd encountered. "Perhaps I can send out a note tomorrow then? Maybe it can like... a top secret mission. Oh, oh! Maybe I can sign it from 'You-Know-Who' except, y'know, just... well, maybe not 'cause then they'd think it was Moldy Voldy and he'd risen from the grave, wouldn't they? Can't have that..." At this point, Vi was talking more to herself than Celeste, distracting herself as her mind kept going on random tangents.
Celeste's response, 'what if I was flirting,' instantly had Vi's ears perking up, eyes considering the girl in front of her with a click of her tongue. Well then... "I suppose if you were flirting with me, I'd have to feel your forehead to see if you were feeling well," she said with a little hum, a smile teasing at her lips. "Then I suppose, if you were all fine and dandy, I'd suggest that maybe I could lay a smoochie woochie on you and we could see if you like it or not." It definitely was an appealing idea and yet again, Vi reached up to push some blonde hair out of her eyes, this time smudging some of the blue paint from her arms onto the tip of her nose.
"That's very poetic and... sweet as well, I guess," Vi said, tapping her chin in thought. Well, saying she suited violets was sweet, not so much the rose part. "Celeste reminds me of celestial which is, like, the night sky which super duper makes sense because your eyes literally look out like they hold galaxies or... or something other super duper clever metaphor." One that she didn't quite have the wits to come up with at the moment.
Celeste's next question had Vi surprised for a second and she paused before finally saying, "I think so, because I kinda think that if you don't ask those things and you're unsure then you'd never know?" Besides, she wasn't known for lacking confidence in any regards. She had a lot of gusto when it came to asking people things. "If you said no, however, I wouldn't be super duper bothered or upset, y'know? It's a nice surprise if you were flirting, but if you weren't that's also cool. No skin off my nose!"
Celeste was slowly getting a bit aggravated, it might have been the irritation at what had happened, it might have been the overly cute way that Viola always could be, it might have been a lot of things, but slowly she was starting to think that she might have a thing for the blonde. Hufflepuffs did have great souls, which is why she was more often than not hanging out with them rather than Ravenclaw. That and they had quite a few muggleborns who knew so much more of the muggle world, which fascinated Celeste more than she’d tell most people. ’’No that’d be bad Viola. Voldy is dead and if he knows what’s smart he stays that way.’’
She had played by the rules of what she knew and that had been logic, sass and class, hell she’d even shown her ass. Even if it sounded a bit crass. Her plans for vengeance would likely never come to fruition, but her thoughts went back to what she had thought before and wondered why she only now had thought of that. Probably because her hormones were coming in full, or perhaps because she had spent years trying to be the perfect daughter. Well appear as the perfect daughter, her entire family knew she wasn’t. However trying to stay classy about it was harder than it seemed.
’’Well Viola, I would have to say that even giving the poses in my underwear that’s apparently just the colour for me would have been enough of a hint… Or the blush I get when you manage to catch me off guard with a compliment like about my eyes… No skin off your nose indeed.’’ Wiping the blue paint from Viola’s nose with her right handed index finger she slid her left hand behind Viola’s neck. ’’Just paint darling…oh well screw being classy for right now..’’ With that she kissed Viola full on the lips, more or less her thoughts forgotten, just hoping everything would be okay and she hadn’t just ruined a friendship of four years.

Celeste was so wise, so sage, and Vi found herself nodding in agreement, before getting distracted yet again. Merlin, she really was pants at this whole 'paying attention' thing but then again, she knew that already didn't she? "Y'know, you're probably the only person in all of Hoggy Hogwarts that calls me Viola?" she mused out loud. She didn't mind, it was just something she found a bit out of the ordinary because she was just super duper accustomed to people calling her 'Vi.' It was short and sweet, kinda sorta like her she supposed, minus the short part. She was an average height.
"Well, Celeste, all of those things don't mean you automatically wanna give me a smooch. I thought you were just putting on a catwalk show for me, modelling some of your knickers," Vi said, a teasing tone creeping into her voice. But then Celeste was moving closer, reaching out with gentle fingers to wipe the paint off Vi's nose, causing Vi to look up at her with bright eyes. Merlin, the girl truly was stunning, and Vi's eyes swept over her face so intently, memorising every line and crevice and tiny mark, that she wasn't anticipating what happened next as the taller girl brought their mouths together in a kiss, one that made Vi positively weak in the knees.
Never one to let an opportunity slip through her fingers, Vi's lips moved against Celeste's enthusiastically, her hand snaking across Celeste's waist to draw her close. Even if this was the only kiss they ever shared, Vi wanted to make it well worth it, until finally she needed to part for air. "Wow..." she murmured, fingers flying up to gently touch her lips before breaking out into a smile that was as bright as the sun. "Way to pleasantly surprise a girl, Celeste!"
Of course Celeste would have just been giving a bit of a fashion show just for Viola, okay maybe she might have, but most people would have seen that was blatantly putting yourself out there, no? Not that the brunette cared all that much at that very moment. That moment she was very much busy kissing VI and the heat that blossomed within her wasn’t exactly unpleasant. As a matter of fact Celeste enjoyed it a great deal, with that knowing that she was at the very least bi sexual as there were some hot guys around the school, but for now she very much enjoyed kissing Vi.
Feeling Viola reciprocate the kiss was at least the shushing of the voice that secretly told her that she had ruined a four year long friendship and the arm that snaked across her waist wanted her to stuff her tongue down Vi’s throat but she kept herself from doing so, for now. When Vi parted for air Celeste herself could use some of the life sustaining gas and sucked it in eagerly, while resting her forehead against Vi’s. Pressing a quick peck on the tips of those fingers she righted her head answering the bright smile on Vi’s face with her own. ’’You could say that again Vi, wow indeed. Not to mention you kiss very pleasantly Viola, never thought my first kiss would be with a woman, it did feel very right though..’’
Not having moved her hand from behind Viola’s head she moved her other hand to rest at VI’s waist, almost mimicking Vi’s own hand, but not entirely. Biting her bottom lip, not minding if another of those kisses would happen, even if she would probably not refrain from stuffing her tongue into Viola’s mouth. ’’What does this make us though, I don’t really seem to know what the right word would be as protocol kind of went out of the window about five minutes ago? I mean I wouldn’t mind kissing you again, like at all though.’’ Viola knew she had thrown sass out of the window, even though some class remained she knew it was rather protocol led and that left her floundering, looking for something to hold onto, even if it only was in the dorm between the two of them.

The knowledge that she was Celeste's very first kiss hit Vi like a ton of bricks and immediately, she felt a bit... guilty, she supposed. Celeste deserved a better kiss than she'd gotten right? One that involved a date and showering with affection and... someone who was interested in a girlfriend/boyfriend - or, in this case, girlfriend/girlfriend situation. Something that Vi wasn't super duper keen on, not at this point in her life. "Oh... oh, Celeste! I'm so sorry. I wouldn't have - Merlin's saggy knickers, I'm glad it felt right, but I thought you'd snogged someone before. Otherwise I would've tried to make things a bit more special for you. Golly gosh. You're... we're alright, yes?"
Celeste's hand that snaked around Vi's waist was enough to make the girl smile again because she adored being touched by others, it made her feel comfortable and at peace. But then Celeste asked what it 'made them' and Vi found herself hesitating. She didn't want to hurt Celeste's feelings if the girl was after anything more, but she didn't want to string her along either. "I... you know I adore you to bits and pieces, right? But we're fourteen - or, well, have you had your fifteenth birthday yet? I can't remember... gosh, I'm so bad at remembering the dates. I always forget Ezra and Edmund's," Vi said, her mind getting sidetracked rather quickly until she met Celeste's face again. "Uh, well. I don't really want a... girlfriend or a boyfriend. I kinda want to, y'know, just... smooch as many people as I can. I don't want to be tied down with one person when I just wanna have fun. Like that song! Oh, you know that muggle one, by Cyndi Lauper? Girls just wanna have fun..." There she went, all distracted again as she broke into the little ditty.
Celeste more or less brushed off that she just had given her first same gender kiss to Viola, she honestly couldn’t care less as she had enjoyed it a whole lot and would very gladly do so again. Maybe even explore a bit more to what went with it, if you asked the brunette at that very moment. One thing that was very clear to herself was that she wasn’t exactly straight. What was the silly saying she had heard over the summer. ‘Girl I’m straight, yeah so is spaghetti until it gets wet.’ Silly as it was it did have some truth to it Celeste guessed.
’’We’re fine Viola, you know that.’’ The moment that Viola started going off on a word vomit after her question made her blush and think that she had maybe made a mistake in asking that. The kiss she’d never see as a mistake, but that question..the brunette would worry about that later. ’’I get the whole girls just want to have fun and the not wanting to be in a committed relationship, no I’m still fourteen, just like you. I really did like that kiss and wouldn’t mind another one, but I get what you mean Viola.’’
Hugging the blonde close Celeste took a deep breath and smiled at Viola when she lessened her grip a little she couldn’t help but chuckle. ’’With the way you are, you’re going to smooch a lot of people, you know that right?’’ Settling against the footboard of her four poster bed she thought on how to go through with everyday life as she knew that Viola wasn’t the one for secrets, or at least not really. ’’You’re going to tell a lot of people you smooched me, aren’t you?’’ Celeste was both okay with it and dreading it at the same time, mostly due to the reactions from others, but she’d face them when it happened.

With Celeste's reassurance that it was fine, Vi instantly relaxed, her shoulders dropping and she reached up to bop the tip of her friend's nose with her fingers. It was adorable, really. Like an itsy bitsy button! If she had the chance, Vi would definitely press a tiny kiss on it later. "I'm super duper glad that you're on the same page as me - look, I might not read but that's a book reference right there!" Vi joked, grinning up at her friend as though Celeste should be proud of her. "We can totally smoochie woochie later if you wanna though? I mean, sharing a dorm does have it's perks."
One of Vi's fingers reached up without even registering it, going to play with a lock of Celeste's hair before pulling a face. "I think you still have plum pudding in there. You definitely need a shower," she teased, though one glance in the mirror would tell her she was a bit of a hypocrite. But she intended to keep painting... she couldn't be certain but she didn't think that Celeste planned to get bathed in more pudding tonight!
When Celeste moved back to lean against her bed, Vi laughed as she brought up the fact she was going to smooch a lot of people. "I sure plan on it! I think that's my big life goal this year: kiss as many people as possible. I want to investigate all the groovy woovy ways people smooch, y'know? Very Ravenclaw-esque of me, if I do say so myself!" she told her friend with a great big beam of a smile. But then Celeste was asking if she'd share what she did with the other students and Vi blinked at her. "I... well, maybe Flora and Elena and Liam and Clarissa but they're my besties! But I won't tell if you don't want me to... I don't think they'd get on their judgey wudgey pants though. Not like they'd blab it to the rest of the school! Why, d'you wanna tell people?"
Maybe it was the hormones, maybe it was just the effect Vi had on people, but Celeste more or less wanted to snog her senseless with how innocently attracting she was being at that moment. Mumbling, loudly enough to let Viola hear it. ’’I’ll get a shower later, right now I don’t want to, too much fun with you here.’’ Hearing about her goal for that year Celeste couldn’t help but sigh a bit internally. She knew that was how it was going to be, but she had hoped a bit differently. Not that there was a way to change that without changing who Viola was, which was just the first person she had had a crush on, which made it a big no no.
Thinking about what she had said about sharing dorms had Celeste fail to suppress a grin, she did like that. If only to have the chance to kiss Viola again. ’’I congratulate you on your curiosity into the different ways of making out and would appreciate it if you didn’t tell anyone aside from them Viola. I’m not too sure of myself yet, with who and what I like…’’ Still thinking on the offer Celeste absently played with the colour that was in Viola’s hair. ’’Speaking of things that I like, I found that I like kissing you and we could experiment or whatever here in the dorms we share after all.’’
Checking herself over, still being in one of her more sexy outfits, while not being completely void of plum pudding she sighed. She really did need a shower. Eyeing the entrance to the bathroom she had a very bad, but still fun idea. ’’Speaking of things we share, one of them is a bathroom, which I am heading to right now.’’ Celeste mentioned as she stood up, walking to that door, hips swaying and pulling her snug shirt over her head, tossing it carelessly to her bed. ’’Meaning it wouldn’t be weird if you felt the need to join in, now ta-ta.’’ Entering the bathroom, while keeping the door slightly ajar.
