With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?

Skipping through the halls, Vi was bouncing off the walls with energy. It wasn't really a surprise considering this was how she usually was, but she'd decided to spontaneously down a coffee (blergh) at breakfast which meant she was definitely more excitable than usual.
Of course, this meant when she saw her friend Elena, she instantly was whizzing towards her and she threw her arms around the girl in a great big hug. "I missed youuuu and your cutie patootie face and your gorgeous beautiful blonde hair andddd your entrancing emerald eyes! Stunning."

Elena had just finished showering after an early morning practicing at the Quidditch pitch with some of her teammates. It was any wonder the poor girl had a chance to ever eat with her running between classes and practicing, but she somehow managed as she made her way in a light jog towards the great hall. She quickly grabbed a croissant and some fruit, shoving it in her face as she bounded up the stairs to the second floor. She swallowed down the flakey pastry as she wondered where exactly Liam or Viola we're hiding.
Then, as if my some sort of magic, she heard the delightful squealing and prancing of her best friend-- which, of course, induced a plethora of high pitched squeals from the half-year As she spinted to her friend (food in hand and all). She giggled, keeping the food away from the girl's hair as best as she could. "I miss you to, Vi!" She replied, giving her friend a right squeeze before giving her space.. At least enough for her to swallow down some more of the grapes in her hand and the last bit of the croissant.
"You're just too precious!" The blonde insisted, her friend being as adorable as ever. "I was actually wondering where your lovely face was hiding off!" No doubt, she was busy just as Elena had been... Likely drinking a bit of caffeine from the double does of wonderful Viola exuberance she was sharing this morning, " You know! I was thinking. We should go hang out. Throw a little 'study party'," Of course, she wAs whispering by this point, because clearly studying wasn't the point of a get together with them. "My brother Kiernan was just talking about the Room of Requirement the other day.. It'd be perfect!"

When Elena whirled around and ran straight towards her too, Vi broke out into a smile as bright as the sun. Merlin, how she adored Elena! She was such a fresh of breath air, someone who could keep up with her energy-wise and who never ever really cracked the grumps at her... unlike half of her housemates, unfortunately. She adored them too but they could all be so serious.
"No, you're too precious," Vi told Elena, reaching up to bop her nose with a giggle as she drew away from her friend. "My lovely face has been dunkity dunked in a wee cup of coffee... can you tell?!" Probably, based on the way Vi was unable to stand still even more than usual.
As Elena dropped her voice to a whisper, Vi leaned in, intrigued, only to light up at the suggestion her friend gave her. Immediately, she was whisper-shouting in excitement because would a fab idea. "Ohhhh my goodness, a party! By Merlin's socks, yes! Maybe on the weekend! Oh oh oh, and we can play lots and lots of games." Pausing, Vi's lips took on a bit more of a sneaky smile as she said, "Kissing games or that truth or dare game or something fun, what d'you think?"

"Pfft, dunkity dunked or not you're precious. Enjoy your caffeine and don't let anyone tell you different, " Elena giggled as the girl seemed just as pumped over the idea of a party. For so many years they weren't quite old enough, but now they could finally go-- and even host! She liked to think they had enough close friends that could spread the word and make it a success, so she wasn't too concerned when it came to the turn out. Now she was just curious who exactly would show.
"Ooo, games! Absolutely! A kissing game?! Aaaand Liam would be there... That could go either really well or really badly, " She certainly could handle all the cheek kisses he gave to other girls. After all, it wasn't for him to just figure out and read her mind that she liked him. Maybe it' give her a reason to buck up and tell him she liked him... Oooor on the flip side, she'd have to awkwardly watch him lock lips with another girl. Who knew.
"I know a few of the older students from the Quidditch teams would draw a crowd. I can invite them as well, and some of our close friends. Grace and Vik are so pretty and nice. Maybe we could convince one of them, or both of them to come!" She smiled. Ultimately, it could've just been her and their little group and she would have been just fine.

As Elena told Vi not to let anyone tell her otherwise when it came to caffeine, Vi nodded very sagely, as though Elena had just told her some precious stone of great wisdom. "Has anyone ever told you that you should have been a Ravenclaw?" she asked her friend, grinning. "Maybe then we could have shared a dorm, how funky dunky would that have been? We could, like... braid each others hair - not that I can braid - and, like, er... oh! Oh, and bother all the cute serious grumpy 'claw boys at breakfast together."
When Elena brought up Liam in the same sentence as kissing, Vi got a playful twinkle in her eye because... well. "Do you fancy Liam?" she asked outright, nudging Elena ever so slightly. It was cool bananas if she did, but Merlin knew that she didn't want to try and get smoochie woochies off the Hufflepuff again if Elena was into him. Girl code, and all that. Her smile only grew as she continued to good-naturedly tease, "Do you wanna kissy wissy him down at Madam Puddifoots over a splendid cup of tea?"
"Oooh, older students would just be super duper! Vik's the bees knees. Sometimes I chat with her at breakfast," Vi said excitedly. "I'll ask her tomorrow, and then I'll try and get her to ask the others, yes? Then... then... oh, no, I won't ask my brothers. They might turn into funny bunnies about the whole party thing!"

"We should've had our own Slytherclaw house! Ambitious, creative, great hair... These would obviously be the requirements!" She joked, considering how great it would've been to have had her bestie in her dorm all the time. She siiiighed, " C'est la vie, " She remarked wistfully, " Alas, no late night talks, braids, snuggles, and smooches, " She remarked, locking her arm with the girl as she walked.They may have been a bit loud when they came together but she wouldn't have changed their friendship for the world. When the half-veela had truly felt at her lowest amongst all the teasing... She had been there to pick Elena up and make her feel better. As independent as she was, their friendship had done more for her than anything.
"Liam?!" She replied, almost too loud, quickly clearing her throat as she went to fix her obnoxious explanation. Dammit. That was smooth, " Liam... He is.." She turned a bit red as she tried to undig herself from the awkward hole she had put herself in, " Liam is just a really, really... Super duper attractive best friend that I just wanna smooch his face.. All the time, " Okay, she huffed a bit. Yeah. She lost, " Yes. I like Liam. But... I CANT TELL HIM THAT! What if it gets weird?" The girl inquired, " He's just... Uhhhg, So cute and funny and sweet.." She didn't even know how someone was supposed to just day that without it sounding ridiculous. "I would kiss him. Yep." She nodded.
"If my brothers could just... Never ever ever find out about the party ever, that would be just great." Her brothers were wonderful, but soo over-the-top when it came to her. Then, there was their own ladies man charms that, frankly, she could've went without seeing for the millionth time. "I'm confident we will have a great time!" She remarked, giving a nod to her best friend as she considered all the great things that could happen.

"A Slytherclaw - how absolutely genius, wowee, you are just... ugh, your mind," Vi raved, reaching up to gently tap the top of Elena's head with one finger with a giggle. "How cool would that have been? We could see each other from dusk til dawn and like... you ever wish something that never happened could happen? 'Cause that's what I wish right now!" If she ever met a genie with a lamp, that'd definitely by one of her wishes... she wasn't sure on the other wishes, but that would be numero uno!
"I think the owls in the owlery heard you then," Vi teased Elena, head tilting back as she laughed because Elena was just so precious and not subtle at all. She loved it. Adored it to pieces. "Liam is a good smoocher too, actually! So I think when you do kiss him - and you totally will end up snogging him, I betcha a galleon or two - then you'll be in for a treat." She knew this from personal experience, after all. "Maybe you can smooch him at the party? Maybe - oh, oh, maybe I can dare you to! Then you two can end up all lovey dovey, whatdoyathink? Just don't leave me out or I'll get all pouty because I don't want to be a third wheel!"
"But your brothers are so much fun!" Vi exclaimed, grinning. Cute, too. She definitely had a crush on not just one, but both of them. Then again, who didn't Vi have a crush on? That was the question... "We're gonna have the best time ever!"
