With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Potions wasn't for the weak and these kids were from three different classes and therefor were going to learn different potions. The woman had already prepared for the worst and she eyed the list of the students in her class. There was nothing impressive about these students and she knew it.
Students were walking in and once they were seated she sighed. "Well potions is nothing new to you but I am. The name is professor Tyrell, I am not going to deal with your teen dilemma attitudes so keep those to yourself in my class, if you can't.. there is the door." she said with her cold voice.
"Now this class is about preparing you for the bigger world and the many poisons and potions you have never encountered or maybe you have and you are lucky to still be alive." She told them and motioned to three cauldrons, each had a different potion in them.
Cauldron one had Amortentia, Cauldron two hair color changing draught and the last one the draught of peace.
"Who of you wants to get up here and tell me what potion is in the first cauldron and why. Think about the smell, color and consitency." she told them with a slight frown.
"Don't make a hassle and decide quickly, these are the potions you will be brewing in these next few hours."

we have no apologies for being
Entering the Potions classroom, Aggy ran the back of her hand across her tired, bleary eyes. She was exhausted. She woken up screaming again last night, the images of him so vivid and real. It felt like she was back there all over again, like she couldn't escape.
So when the new Professor started talking, immediately Aggy's face when from tired to irritated because seriously? She hated people acting like disruptive dickheads in class, but this woman hadn't even met them and not only that, she didn't even look to be ten years older than them. "Professor Tyrell? More like Professor Tyrant... or a poor attempt to be," Aggy muttered under her breath, out of earshot to anyone except perhaps the lucky sod who she'd sat next to this lesson.
Sighing, Aggy pushed herself out of the chair she'd been sitting in to go and inspect cauldron one. Taking one glance, Aggy said confidently, "It's Amortentia. You can tell by the mother of pearl sheen it has, and the steam that's coming off it in spiral. It smells different for everyone. There's often three distinct smells of what's attractive to you." She was getting a whiff of leather, an old musty book, and the cool night air, but she didn't say so. It was nobody else's business.
Even though Professor Tyrant didn't ask for an explanation of the potion, Aggy gave a very scathing description anyway. "If you're really pathetic and want to dose someone to become obsessed with you and imitate love for you against their will for a short period of time, this is the perfect potion for you. Side effects are that that'll just hate you forever afterwards because you're a right git."

Bouncing into Potions, Viola's good spirits weren't dampened, not even by the new Professor who definitely had her cranky pants on. Why someone who was obviously so unexcited to teach would put their hand up to become a Professor at Hogwarts was beyond her, but oh well. Hopefully this Professor wouldn't be too much of a grumpy wumpus for the rest of the lesson.
As the lesson moved on, it appeared Vi's hopes were definitely wrong, but oh well. All she needed was to pass this class, not be best friends with the Professor! Scribbling down a note on the parchment in front of her, Vi quickly slid it over to Felix conspicuously. It read: if we've got to partner up, want to be with me? Hopefully he would!

Felix had heard of the new professor, she was one of those Tyrell people he had been avoiding like the plague on a warm tuesday. He didn't need to be involved with those, nope not him. The professor was giving him slight chills and he looked at the note from Viola with a slight smirk, he could do that.
He wrote a yes and a smiley face on the back and slid the note back towards Viola while he watched students guess the potions.

Ollie wasn't good with potions. The blonde ran a hand through her hair as she was seated in the classroom. The teacher was quite terrifying if she was allowed to say so and just watched Agnes do what the professor asked while Ollie scribbled down the notes.
She was nervous and jumpy lately, nightmares had been catching up with her again so her focus for this class was nowhere to be found.

Gemini wasn't often scared by someone but this woman was very much making her shake in her tiny shoes. The girl was just like a beaten puppy and sat there waiting for the woman to teach them how to make a certain potion. A girl was brave enough to walk up to the cauldron and spot the love potion.
"Aren't they dangerous?" she asked and covered her mouth like she said something disgusting that would make this professor even more angry. She seemed angry.
Ahh potions. One of her favorite classes though not an easy one by any means. Considering just adding a single wrong ingredient could have it either blow up in your face or poison you, yeah it wasn't for the lazy and uncaring. Even though she didn't have a desire to pursue a career in potion making it was a nice skill set to have for future jobs. Taking a seat somewhere near her sister Olivia she started to take some notes on the potions they would be doing today. Listening aptly to both the professor and the few students that answered the professor's questions. She didn't really get why Professor Tyrell was being such..a cold person but then again it wasn't her business to know.
When her classmate identified the potion in the first cauldron as Amortentia, Roxanne was incredibly intrigued. Every person would get a different scent from that--the scent of what reminded them of what attracted them most--which already made her wonder how Aggy had figured it out so quickly. Roxanne herself sat further away from the front of the class, so she couldn't quite figure out what the potion smelled like to her. She had to stop herself from getting up just to run over to the cauldron, knowing that if she was actually able to brew that potion today, she'd figure out what hers was soon.
One of the third-years next to her sounded worried about the concept of the love potion, and Roxanne turned to her, trying to reassure her with what she did know about love potions. "It's really only dangerous if you actually give it to someone," she whispered, "and I'm sure the professor will take it away for grading when we're done." She glanced back over at the cauldron with the spiral smoke rising out of it. "Maybe we can work together on brewing it, so it has a better chance of going right?"
Potions was something on what Mariah wasn't the greatest so she didn't really know the potions so well by looking at them. She had never studied them like that. So she decided to just let others to tell what they were. Basically only potion she could identiy was the Amortentia. Rest were bit harder for her. She barely does potions out of the class, so she wasn't familiar with them.
She looked around the class and wondered if she should partner up with anyone here. She did found the professor scary a bit, that's why she didn't really go randomly guess it too, what potions these were. She hoped they will soon try make potions instead.
There was no lie the new Professor had for Potions had scared him, and he didn't feel like crossing her. But he knew he needed to do his best in the class. When the professor had introduced herself as Professor Tyrell, and told them to drop the drama, or leave. He couldn't help but think of her as a savage. Even if she could approach the problems differently. But he wasn't going to judge, and he sat in the back. As he listened to her talk about how their were three different Potions, and each of the three cauldrons had one.
And when she asked if anyone want to come up, and guess the Hufflepuff was going to pass. Because he didn't want to get any of them wrong. And be told that he was not good or something. So he had listened to the rest of the class talk. The Hufflepuff sat back as he had waited to get a partner to brew the Potion. He wanted to start brewing Potions.

Ariella watched the redhead come up and take a sniff as well as explain what was in the cauldron. Ariella nodded and waved her off, motioned her to take a seat. "Ten points to Gryffindor." she said and ignored everything else Agnes spoke off as it wasn't anything she asked about.
"Yes this love potion isn't for the weak minded but it is for the desperate." she said and motioned to Agnes's table. "Team up and make this potion, the instructions are on the board." she said and turned her attention to the others.
"The next cauldron, what is in this one hmm?" she asked and turned to her students. "Cartwright, enlighten your fellow students and get up here to tell them what potion is in cauldron two."
The goal that Damien had was to be called on, because he was not the best at Potions. And he didn't feel like making an fool of himself in front of his classmates. But the professor had scared him way too much, for him to go up without an hesitation. As he didn't want to make this more hard on him.
Walking up to the three cauldrons, and going to to the second one which was the the hair color draught. The Hufflepuff smelled it, and he thought the smell was good for being a Potion. "Isn't this potion used for changing's one hair color, Professor. And if you use it too much can it have lasting effects as muggle hair dye does. Since it can kill your hair." he said with a sigh. Even though he was pretty sure that he made a fool of himself, but he knew there was not much he could do.
Mark stood next to Damien Cartwright and looked up at the new professor. The way she spoke to the class made him rank his back as his dark eyes were fixed curiously on the young woman. She had made a very good impression, if you asked him. Maybe a bit harsh, but it just reminded him of the way his parents talked, so he was used to the tone she was speaking in. The worst part of this class was not the professor, it was the potions she asked students to come up and guess.
Mark was sure he would guess correctly if he dared to step up, yet he did not do so because that required complete and utter embarrassment in front of the entire class. He would much rather hide behind someone else and brew his own elixir when asked. When it came to amortentia, the scent sadly also reached his nose and the room seemed to suddenly fill with the smell of pine, wet forest floor and something else he could not recognize.
The Slytherin thought he could hide beside Damien as the professor spoke, however he soon realized that it was the worst hiding spot ever, when the woman asked the Hufflepuff beside him to come up and guess the other potion. Mark felt slightly bad for Damien being forced to speak in class, yet he would never admit it to him. In fact, he rarely spoke to the boy.
However, when Damien finally returned to his seat, Mark (for the first time in his life) sent the Hufflepuff a rather comforting smile.
Arielle hadn't been looking forward to having class with the new professor who she heard was a bitch. And she didn't feel like dealing with it. Even if Arielle had some skill with Potions, but she was not as good as her brother who shocked her with his skills.
The witch had sat in the back listening to Professor Tyrell describe how their were three potions. And she had called up students to tell about them. Calling up Damien she could tell her was nervous, and she felt bad for him as he was her cousin. And she knew that he wasn't the best in this lesson.
Giving his explanation she hoped he got it right, and if she was honest she didn't know much about it. The witch had sat back and awaited for Professor Tyrell's outlook and she hoped she wouldn't be hard on Damien.
Even though Oscar didn't particularly like Potions, he knew very well that he needed to pass this subject just like every other one. And that might be made just that bit harder by having a new teacher. A teacher at that who seemed the no-nonsense type, who probably wouldn't be easy to convince of his skills, or made to overlook some of his shortcomings. So as soon as the professor asked to identify the potions she had brought, Oscar started filing through his potions book in search for the third one, hoping that his classmates would indeed leave that one for last. He was only half listening to the answers that were given to make sure he heard the name of the potion and which one they identified.
Comparing the description one last time, to make sure he had it right. So he raised his hand and waited to be called upon, to move to the front of the class. "It's the draught of peace, Ma'am," he said confidently. "Handy to have on hand during exam times. It calms the nerves," he explained, waiting for the teacher's judgement.
