With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
This was great. Liam and Faith often resulted having wicked ideas. The two silly goats had managed to secure a nice place in the kitchen where the elves would willingly let them taste everything. “You think we can lure Gracie here?” She asked as she put a spoon full of cinnamon in her mouth as a dare. Her face turned, and she coughed it out. “Urgh… You devil… And they claim Hufflepuffs are the nice ones. Not all are cinnamon rolls, some are pure cinnamon. Too much of the good stuff is bad,” she said, teary eyes because of the dry stuff. He was getting it back. Big time. With a smug grin on her face, she walked to the spices and vegetables. From there she picked the hottest pepper she could find and held it out to her Hufflepuff friend. “Now… I dare you to eat this,” she grinned.
The door opened, and she saw Grace enter. “Oh my Merlin, Liam. You did it, she came!” She walked towards the blonde and hugged her. “There is the sugar quill like promised.” She pointed at a fresh stock that had come in this morning. “But more importantly. Watch this badass eat a while pepper,” she dragged the Hufflepuff prefect towards their little center so they could watch.
Note: Roo I hope it is okay I wrote Liam dared Faith to put a spoon full of cinnamon in her mouth.
Three. Two. One. The moment the cinnamon passed Faith's sensuous lips, Liam let out a laugh. An elf jumped and some pans clattered, but no real harm was done as Liam wrapped his own mouth up in both hands quickly. "Aw now, you clearly 'aven't been 'avin' the right good stuff," Liam said with a wide grin and wink. "Y'know Gracie can't resist this," he said in reply to her question about their good friend as he eagerly watched Faith move to find her next dare for him.
"Oh shizz Faith what'd I ever do t'you?" Liam groaned as he rubbed the back of his neck. There was a welcome pause when Gracie came into the kitchen and he did a little victory jig. "Whaddidatellya?" his little dance moves moved him over to where Grace and Faith was and he wrapped his arms around the two of them for a huge group hug. He manouvered himself as he let them go so that he could plant a kiss on each girl's cheeks.
"A'ight let's do this thing," Liam stepped back then and with one last pleading look to Faith and Grace, Liam wrapped his lips wholly around the chili. If it were any smaller, he'd have wimped out and just swallowed it whole to avoid the heat... but he closed his eyes and took the bite. "Merlin! Morgana and Arthur!!!" Liam was dancing again; as if that would help the pain go away. There were tears in his eyes and he stuck his tongue out to try cool it down... but nope, it only made it worse. "Water... where's... water??"

When Grace had received the invitation to come and hang out with Faith and Liam, she'd been a bit apprehensive at first. Truth or dare? It didn't sound like her cup of tea... at all. But then Liam had told her that they had sugar quills and she couldn't really resist that offer... she liked the little things too much, and she'd ran out of her own stash last night.
Making her way into the kitchens, Grace had only just taken one step inside before her name was called and Faith was enveloping her in a warm cuddle... and Liam too, a moment later. A great big group hug. It was lovely! "I couldn't turn down sugar quills!" When Liam kissed her on the cheek a moment later, instantly she was crimson cheeked because she wasn't used to being kissed, even if it was just one on the cheek. "Um... thank you," she said, flustered as she reached up to touch her cheek, almost as though she couldn't really believe his lips had touched her face.
Letting Faith pull her into the centre, Grace giggled as Faith called Liam a bad bum. "How far do you think he'll get before he spits it out?" she whispered to her friend, grinning as she watched Liam take a big bite of the pepper then listened to him start yelping. Cringing, Grace watched as the poor boy tried to cool down his mouth before she remembered... oh, milk! Milk helped. Rushing to the fridge, Grace handed him a whole carton of milk. "Don't swallow it all at once though. Just take little sips. You don't want to choke or gag."
“Hm… I don’t know? Perhaps feeding me a mouth full of cinnamon?” Her eyebrow arched at the Hufflepuff boy. Now he didn’t need to go and play saint on her. “An eye for an eye, buddy,” she crossed her arms and grinned in a way that could make a Slytherin jealous.
Grace joining them was the best interruption she could imagine. She grinned widely when Liam joined their little sideways hug. “Come here you big oaf,” she tickled the youngest yet tallest of the trio before turning back to Grace. “We’re glad you could join us. This is gonna be great,” she smiled at the blonde.
As Liam the brave swallowed the chili in one bit, Faith could be found laughing. This was great entertainment to her. “You can do it!” The Gryffindor cheered her friend on. When he started screaming for water, Grace was ahead of her. “No no water, it’ll make things worse!” She warned him when Grace handed him a glass of milk. “Good. Alright, now you can truth or dare either of us,” she said giving the guy a pat on his shoulder.
"Aye now girl, you fed yo'self the cinnamon," Liam said with a flashy grin of white teeth. "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, Faith. That's some Slytherin thinkin' there," he nudged his friend playfully just as Grace came in and they all became a big mushy Huffledor sandwich. Liam noticed the bright beet colouring Gracie's cheeks but he didn't want to add to her embarrassment by bringing it up. Did his lip give her a rash? Ohmimerlin - was she allergic to his lips?! He didn't have time to worry though as his time with the chili was upon him quickly.
His funny burning-mouth dance made at least Grace run to his rescue and he'd already taken three huge gulps of the milk before she warned him not to chug it. He tried to stop, of course, but that proved worse because it then caused the milk to come back up through his nose instead. He used his right sleeve to mop up the white liquid and his eyes watered, but Liam was in otherwise good spirits. "Ohhhh truth or dare for one of you," Liam tapped his chin in thought, his dark eyes glancing from Grace to Faith and back again. Possibilities flooded his head but the moment one of the elves shuffled past holding up a cream pie, the boy knew exactly what he wanted to happen. "Gracie, truth or dare?"
The two options: Truth: which professor is your favourite and why? Dare: smash a cream pie in Faith's face [insert devil emoji here]

'This is gonna be great,' Faith had declared and whilst Grace was still filled with nerves, there was a funny feeling alongside that. Excitement, perhaps. She wasn't used to doing spontaneous things just 'because' so maybe Liam and Faith would push her to do something fun, something out of the ordinary.
Grace watched in horror as Liam ignored her advice to begin with and the milk came out... of his nose. "Oh my goodness," she murmured to Faith, frowning. "I don't... I don't think spicy food is good for him. He looks like he's on fire, or... or... he's got fire inside of him like a dragon." Curiously, she asked, "Has he already dared you to do something or... or asked you to tell a secret?"
When it was Liam's turn to ask someone truth or dare, Grace stood there wringing her hands until he decided on her. Immediately, the nerves that had briefly subsided hit her all over again. Having watched Liam eat a pepper and be in so much main, Grace decided to be positively boring and say, "Um... um, truth." She hoped desperately that she would get a question she felt like answering but that wasn't how this game worked, was it?
At Liam's truth question, Grace felt a bit of relief. Okay, so it wasn't that bad then. Thank Merlin! "My... I like Professor Samuels? He's really lovely and... nice. Um, he's a good teacher too it seems like," Grace said, nodding her head as she thought back to Transfiguration. Even though she was awful at the practical side of class itself, she liked the teacher for sure. He seemed kind.
Looking between both Faith and Liam, Grace bit her lip until she finally decided which one to ask next. "Faith... um, truth or dare?"
[The two options: Truth: if you had to date one person in fifth or sixth year, who would it be?
“Of course, I did. The only other option would be me being a loser. And that title doesn’t suit me,” she said. In other words, she didn’t really have a choice. The Gryffindor lady shrugged. “I almost was a Slytherin like my good ol’ dad,” she said the word ‘good’ with a heavy layer of sarcasm. Because honestly how could she ever have a good opinion on that douche ever again?
“Yoo Jordan, don’t just kiss girls without asking them. I mean most will probably be thrilled but you’ve gotta have some respect for our little cinnamon roll,” she advised her buddy with a wide grin. Sometimes she had trouble containing herself around Grace herself but last thing she wanted was to make her bestie uncomfortable.
She shook her head at Grace. “Liam the dragon. Wouldn’t it be wicked if he started breathing fire?” The Gryffindor laughed a little because good friends could do that. She’d smack a stranger if they laughed at her buds. “There you go, big guy! I’m proud of you,” she patted the Hufflepuff male on his back. It seemed he’d be okay.
Her brown eyes sparkled with interest when Grace picked truth. “Really now? Do you like dried books? Savage is where it’s at. That lady is walking sex appeal,” she mused, approving her own taste.
Faith was done with dares for now so she decided to go for truth. “Fifth or sixth year, huh? Sorry Liam. You’re too baby for me haha.” This was a hard one. Eventually she decided to tease Grace a little, moving closer she rubber her shoulder against hers. “Now Gracie, won’t you want to marry me,” she pouted her lips. “Mavi and Vik are pretty hot too. And who wouldn’t want to get scolded by the Valentino twins? Sam is my little adorable snake buddy. Hmmm… Can’t I just have everyone?” She wined and hugged the both. “Alright, handsome. Truth or dare?” She wiggled her eyebrows at Liam.
D: build a castle from biscuits T: what is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done
Being a Slythie wasn't all that bad of a thing, Liam was about to remind the Gryffindor girl before he realised it probably wasn't the best idea. Things weren't exactly cookies-and-cream between her and her dad, it seemed. "Nah Faith, I don't think anyone'd dare t'call ya a loser," Liam laughed easily because whoever did would either have to have cahones the size of bowling balls or no two brain cells to rub together. He gave a goofy grin to Faith as she patted his back and he wiped whatever white stuff came out of various facial orifices in his attempt to squelch out the fire in his mouth.
When Grace cautiously answered with truth and said that she liked Mr Samuels, Liam wiggled his big bushy brows suggestively at her. "(H)e's plenty nice, yeah," Liam laughed louder still when Faith disputed Grace's choice and spoke of the Muggle Studies teacher as... as a sexy woman. She definitely was, "guess Gracie dun swing both ways like you Faith? Lucky Mr Samuels," he said with a cheeky poke of his tongue because he knew Grace'd likely colour redder than a tomato and he wanted her to know he was just playin'.
Liam was truly devastated when Grace decided that only fifth and sixth year students were available for Faith to choose to date. Wounded, he put a hand to his heart as Faith called him a 'baby' and he pouted hard, pushing out his plump bottom lip and giving the pair of them the biggest puppy eyes that would make Puss in Boots proud. "That just means Imma clean slate, ya feel? Ya get t' teach me ya ways, Faith," he pleaded. As Faith began to list a whole bunch of people, Liam chuckled. "Greedy much there Gryffie?" but he looked like a deer in the headlights when the truth or dare turned to him once more.
"Truth! Most embarrassing thing, eh? Merlin there's a lot to choose from. Gotta be when Sally the lil snoop snuck into my room when I was practicin' me moves. On a pillow. Last summer. Yeah a'ight don't be judgin'. Havin' lil sistas is hard when ya can't be magically lockin' ya door yet," Liam groaned and rubbed the back of his neck and giving the sheepish of all grins possible. "Hmmm ok Faith, your turn."
Truth: would you be my pillow? Dare: show me your moves. On Gracie.

"I don't think you're a loser at all!" Grace proclaimed, a bright and genuine grin across her face as she reached out to grab Faith's hands, clasping them tightly in her own. She was such a great best friend and out of the two of them, Faith really was the cooler one. When Liam suggested that nobody would ever call her that to her face, Grace wasn't so sure though... that Alana Valentino could be awfully scary, as was Vinda Selwyn and a couple of other people in their year. She wouldn't put it past them. "We'd still like you even if you were a Slytherin though... right, Liam?" A lot of them were a little... intense, but for the most part Grace tried not to judge someone solely based on their house.
Faith was being outright with Liam, telling him not to kiss her without asking Grace first, and immediately the Hufflepuff wanted to bury her head in her hands. She... speaking up for herself definitely wasn't her forte. It meant drawing attention to herself. But 'cinnamon roll' caught her attention because, "Didn't you have a mouthful of cinnamon before?" But then her own words caught up with her brain and Grace felt it was very important to clarify that, "Not... not a mouthful of me though." Merlin, she was making things worse. "Just... a mouthful of... of spices. I'm not a spice. I'm a gir-woman. A... a woman. I think." Was she too young to be considered that? She didn't know, but right now she wanted to be disappearing into the fridge.
Liam, thankfully, agreed with her about Professor Samuels but then Faith was talking about Professor Savage and se... that word. Immediately, Grace's cheeks went aflame. Brighter than the tomatoes sitting on the bench over in the corner. "I... Faith, you can't... I don't think we can talk about... about that and our Professors in the same sentence," she said, voice nearly a whisper as she glanced around the room, almost as though the Professors were lurking nearby. If her cheeks were brighter than tomatoes before though, they were nearly the shade of beetroots when Liam mentioned swinging both ways... because... well, did she? She didn't know, sometimes thinking about girl's made her tummy all funny inside. Instead of saying anything, she went quiet, biting at her bottom lip as she listened to what Faith had to say next.
When Faith moved closer to her, Grace's head dropped down onto the girl's shoulder after Faith had finished rubbing it with her own. "You'll end up wanting to marry someone much better than me," she said truthfully. Faith deserved the magnificent person out there, one that would treat her like that way she deserved, one that could stand up for what they believed in like she could. But then Faith ended up rattling name after name and Grace laughed, shaking her head especially as Liam chimed in with, 'greedy much there, Gryffie?' "I... well, I think they'd l want you. Who wouldn't? You're just so... lovely. Look, even Liam's saying he'll go on a date with you."
Gosh, then Liam was sharing his most embarrassing story, and Grace tried her very best not to cringe because... well, she'd never practiced her 'moves' on a pillow, but the thought of her doing that and being caught by her brother? Was mortifying, and Arthur would laugh for days. "I bet you're a really good dancer now," she said brightly, smiling as she completely misinterpreted what Liam had meant.
Then curiously, she turned and waited for Faith to pick her answer, tucking some of her blonde strands behind her ear.
