With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Meet Isabel Delgado, the youngest of the Delgado siblings (consisting of MATHEUS DELGADO and NICOLAS DELGADO), and probably the most loved little sister in the entire universe. She is twelve or thirteen, and she's currently in her second year of Hogwarts.
A few things to know about Isabel: - Whilst both parents were magical, Luiza (mother) was a muggleborn and the Delgados were raised in the muggle world. This is because when Luiza's mum got sick, she asked Josef (father) if they could raise them right near her so she was close by - there were also added perks of having the mum look after the kids when she worked. Josef agreed, although he only wanted to work in the wizarding world.
The Delgados knew magic was a thing, saw their mum and dad perform it (dad was still working in the wizarding world), but that was it as far as their exposure to magic.
- Isabel grew up in a household that only spoke Brazilian Portuguese at home, and English is her second language. The Delgados grandmother only speaks to them in Brazilian Portuguese.
- At age two, Isabel's dad left the entire family. There are reasons for this, but ones I don't want to delve into on here. This put Luiza in a hard spot financially, paying for three kids as a single mother, when she was working at the local muggle grocers where the pay wasn't great.
- When Isabel was three years old, Luiza lost her job after taking the day off to tend to her daughter who was running an incredibly high fever. Since the Delgados were living paycheck by paycheck, this was a devastating blow and it wasn't long until the money ran out. While Luiza ran around, begging anyone for a job, the three kids went without. There was one point where Matheus (my character) remembers sitting huddled on a bed, bellies grumbling, until their grandmother (also struggling with money) discovered what had happened and splurged by buying them a pizza.
- Personality-wise, Isabel is a pretty upbeat, happy and somewhat cheeky. She's the one mum dotes on the most given she's the baby of the family, but she's definitely not spoiled. I see her as a Gryffindor, but I'm open to discussing other houses.
- Her PB is Camila Mendes. I'm open to other PBs with Brazilian heritage however. Just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
