With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Ryker had a goal for this meeting and hopefully for once things would go smoothly rather than bitching and complaining about not taking action. There was only so much she could do without the ministry breathing down her neck, without them keeping an eye on her and every move she made because no matter how much this woman thought she was doing good, she surely wasn't. Ryker could imagine having faith in something and then watch it all get taken away, soon that would be the case for this lady as well.
Ryker waited for everyone to arrived but already had written down something on the blackboard. "Food and drinks are over there once more.." she offered and let out a sigh. She had been in tons of trouble lately and nothing really seemed to go right. "Potions class had given me something we need to do something about." she said and eyed the other students. "You guys want to take action, I don't disagree." she said and eyed her fiancee and the ministry official for a moment.
"Once its summer we're free to go our own ways, personally I will be traveling the world with my brother for a little bit but.." she sighed. "I will also visit my sister and for those who have someone we love outside of these walls, I know you will want to spend time with your siblings too." she then grabbed the daily prophet. "During potions class the professor told us about the wolfsbane potion and though our relatives have one or not.. they'll still be killed on sight.." she sighed. "It's wrong in so many ways and no I am not going to start something against the ministry but I am going to do something to help wolves." she eyed the ministry lady.
"Illegal wolfsbane potions need to get off the streets. Have you guys heard of them? the potions they're selling?" she asked hoping others would know about it as well.
Another Werewolf Support meeting, and Elijah hoped it didn’t go to hell like it did a while back. The male wasn’t entirely happy about what’s been happening in the outside world and was quite disturbed when he read the Daily Prophet when it’d come in the mail. There was always something bad happening, either a new law in place or another wolf being killed. This crap needs to be stopped and Elijah was going to do whatever it took for them to get something going outside the castle. So, when Elijah entered the meeting, his eyes were trained on the blackboard for a second and headed straight for the snack table to grab a bowl of chips and a drink.
The male popped a pretzel into his mouth, moving toward the chair as he listened to his sister and cocked his head to the side. ”The illegal wolfsbane is very dangerous for our....friends.. I would not trust any sketchy dealer at all. Especially for those who hate werewolves and want them dead. They’ll stop at nothing to see them gone. he said and raised an eyebrow.

As Grace stepped foot into the Werewolf Support Club Meeting, she was quiet, just as she had been during the last meeting. It had been... intense, to say the least. With a lot of outcry from the other students and anger directed towards each other and Ms. Grimblehawk who... Grace still wasn't comfortable around. The fact that she was always around, reading her letters and watching students in the hall and - it felt like an invasion of privacy, and it unnerved her.
Sitting down on a chair carefully, Grace immediately started pulling at the straps of her overalls, trying to adjust them before sending a somewhat nervous smile at Elijah who she'd met earlier in the year. He was nice, very charming and... pretty, although she didn't dare utter that aloud. She didn't want to seem like she was objectifying him or anything - that would be no good at all. "You... you have some salt on your mouth," she told Elijah stupidly, before cringing and turning to face Ryker. Merlin's beard.
It turned out the topic of today was illegal wolfsbane potions and how to get it off the street. Drawing her bottom lip into her mouth, Grace gnawed on it for a moment as she thought. Then after a moment, she released her lip and spoke, "Isn't... aren't they regulated though? I mean, I know the Ministry hasn't exactly been..." Grace sent a glance to Ms. Grimblehawk, before tearing her gaze away. "... great with their actions towards werewolves lately, but dosed potions aren't good for anyone and... perhaps we should send the Ministry a letter and raise our concerns? I mean, if word gets around that wolfsbane potions have been dosed, then it's not good for sellers of any potions because people might jump to the conclusion that they've all been tainted, right? Which means owners of apothecaries may lose business as a result." Realising that she had started babbling and raving on, Grace fell quiet before glancing down at her hands, finding them very interesting suddenly.
