With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Clary had her moments where she got in trouble and today was no different from any other. The girl was seated with her back against a tree that she just fell out off. Her light eyes were on her hands that held onto her knee. Clary wasn't too bad with healing spells if she had her wand with her in the first place. Clary slowly released her bleeding knee and whined, the pain was stingy and though she had been through worse she couldn't clean it up and it was quite a large amount of blood. How could she have predicted for a branch to pierce her leg as she fell?
That's insane right? Letting out a sigh of annoyance, Clary just leaned her head back against that very same tree, closing her eyes. When she was at home her siblings often got her out of jams like this and with surgeons in the family she was always quite fine. Her big brothers and sisters would scoop her up and take care of her injuries and lately she felt like she wanted to go home more than anything. Clary missed her parents and she missed being home in her own room.
There was no doubt that she loved Hogwarts but she loved her bedroom, her videogames, netflix and just cuddling her dog. Clary winced as she tried to adjust her position before opening her eyes. Welp she might as well stay comfortable.. the bleeding will stop at some point.

but the loneliness never left me
Veronica wasn't exactly the easiest person to get close to, but she was aware of this. She'd done a lot of therapy and she considered herself to be...better at it than she used to be, but it had taken a lot of work to get to that point. She knew that growing into someone less...broken was going to take time. She wished she could be more open with people, despite this. She knew that not everyone was like her mother or the men who thought that she was possessed by the devil. Ron didn't believe in the devil, only the darker side of people.
Despite all her efforts, she still was having issues letting herself get close to...well...anyone. This included her adoptive family. She cared for them, of course, there was still a creeping concern in the back of her mind about them. She knew that her adoptive parents were doing their best to be patient with her and none of her siblings know the whole story of what had happened in the church. She didn't want them to know. If they did, though, they were considerate enough to keep their mouths shut about it. She knew she wasn't the only one with a dark history in the Jones family.
Ron was taking a walk when she realized that one of her sisters was bleeding on the ground. Part of her told her to keep walking, but she didn't. She was trying to be more open with people. Who better to start with than her adoptive family? "Hey Clarissa. One of your ventures went awry? I can see if I can mend you up if you like."

Clary spotted her older sister rather quickly and a part of her was relieved but a part of her was also scared of a possible lecture she really didn't want. The thought of her sister telling on her to her parents or David made her stomach twist in a bunch of knots she really didn't know how to get them out of. The girl let out a subtle wine as she adjusted her position a little while Roni came closer, obviously spotting her too. Her mother told her Roni was a special girl too, just like herself and Clary loved all her siblings equally.
"Hi Roni.." she said biting her lip a little. "It was a silly accident." she assured her sister and slowly moved her bloody hand from the knee. "You think you can? I tried to stop the bleeding but its a lot of blood I can't see the difference." she admitted a bit sheepishly because she really knew nothing about healing. For an adventurer she should've been more prepared surely, but she didn't think the branches wouldn't hold. How could she ever climb the whomping willow when she couldn't survive a regular tree?
"The tree is stupid." she was definitely going to blame the tree for this. "How are you?"

but the loneliness never left me
Veronica was a lot of things, but she wasn't a snitch. She knew that Clarissa had a...knack for trouble. Ron supposed that was true for everyone. She, personally had had enough trouble to last her a life time. She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at the younger Jones. "What exactly happened? Not something that would get you in detention, I hope."
It wasn't exactly a threat, but there were some things that Veronica wouldn't keep quiet about, like if one of her younger siblings was picking fights or if someone was hurting them...or if they were hurting someone. Still, this looked more like Clarissa was mucking about and had hurt herself.
Veronica made quick work of mending the cut. "Do you want me to clean up or do you want to keep the blood for like...aesthetic?" Veronica wasn't very good at being a sister. She had become self reliant at a young age, to a degree that she didn't really need anyone. Before her mother had thought that Veronica was possessed she knew how to pay bills, buy groceries, hide her mother's drugs, get herself to school, and just about anything else she needed to know. When Clarissa said the tree was stupid, Veronica said, "Alright, we'll go with that." Veronica was about to get up and go about her business, but decided to sit across from Clarissa when she was asked how she was. She wasn't really sure. "I dunno. I'm tired, I guess. Haven't really been sleeping well. How about you?"
