With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

This was one of those days where Scarlett wanted some peace and quiet to herself. She had managed to get her roommates out of the dorm, or well the ones she managed to speak to and was all by herself, her belly not hidden by the spell for once as she was seated on her bed, her hands holding onto a maternity book she managed to sneak out of the library with the excuse of research for her little bastard brother and all the shit he could get into. Truth be told, she was the one in deep shit but she wasn't going to admit that.
The brunette ran a hand through her hair as she read about pregnancies and what to do or what not to do. She missed her red wine and she wasn't able to drink with her possee anymore which bugged her big time. Soon everyone would notice something was off and only Nadya was trusted with her secret. The fear of her family finding out would kill her someday and Scarlett wasn't ready to die. She barely even touched gifts from her parents if they contained liquid or edibles.
Nothing could be trusted. Scarlett heard footsteps approach and quickly grabbed her blanket bunch to bury herself in. Please let it be Nadya.

It was irrational, Nadya knew, but sometimes she was jealous of her best friend. Of how, despite everything that was difficult for her at the moment, there was a future ahead of her--a family, a home, all created by her. Oh, sure, Nadya had a home in London, had Papa and Vera and Lyuba, but that was nothing but the same life she'd been living for the past eighteen years. It was love, and that was important, yes, but it wasn't her own life. It didn't have what she was owed--the forest, the dance, the dreams.
Not that she would admit that to Scarlett. It wouldn't help anything. Not when the poor girl looked like she was going to jump out of her skin just from Nadya walking into the room. It wasn't like Scarlett at all, she thought, not like the shrewd and confident girl she'd known for seven years, the one who'd always matched her in attitude, in spirit.
"It's just me," Nadya murmured, closing the door softly behind her. "No need to worry. I can't speak for when the others will be back, but for now, only me." She moved toward her own bed, releasing her hair from its bun and shaking it out. "You look worried." Better to keep it straightforward. "Something happen, besides me not alerting you to being at the door?"

Scarlett didn't mean to be such a nervous bitch but yet she had become more and more nervous with how fast time had gone. Scarlett still kept herself covered up as much as she could, she had no intention of the others finding out and so far they haven't. The moment Nadya stepped through the door her guard went down just slightly and she clung a little less to the humps of blankets. With a sigh she just looked at her hands before looking at Nadya. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to be so tense." she said trying to be as calm but she was actually just terrified.
"Time has got me spooked I am afraid." she told her friend and arched her brow. "Are you alright? You don't seem okay." Scarlett removed some of the blankets except for one and tried to get up. Getting up was getting harder by the day and she was told many times to just stay in bed, rest and make homework but no, she was going to keep appearances even if it killed her, broke her spine or made the baby plop out of its own.
There was no way she would reveal her secret to the world. "Besides my belly growing by the day nothing really has happened." she said softly and sighed. "In a few months the child will be here and yet it saddens me." she explained as she walked over to Nadya's bed and sat down on it. Scarlett opened the blanket so they could share. "I will spare you the emotional thoughts of a very hormonal woman missing her wine." she said with a teasing smile.

Placing her hair tie on her nightstand, Nadya made her way back to the neighboring bed where Scarlett was holding up the blankets, slipping underneath next to her friend and putting an arm around her shoulders. "Time has gone by rather quickly, hasn't it?" Just two more months before both of their escape from here--and if everything went right, three more months before the baby. Ideal timing--Scarlett was lucky it wouldn't happen until after she had graduated. Nadya couldn't imagine what one would do if it were to happen in school--give birth in the hospital wing? Put a cradle in the dormitory?
No, it would happen once her friend was safe. Out with the werewolves who must be far better of people than the spineless professors at Hogwarts.
"To tell you the truth, I haven't felt okay since January." Since Grimblehawk's appearance at the school had shaken her to the point of trying to run away. "But I'm sure I'll make it through. I'm tougher than I look." Nadya squeezed Scarlett's shoulder, her long blonde hair falling over her friend's chest. "And after that, things will be better. Then you'll have a new family. Won't have to worry about the old one anymore."
