With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
they judge me like a picture book/by the colors, like they forgot to read

It was April, but Hogwarts was still in northern Scotland, so Danica was still wearing one of her thick pink sweaters as she sat on a bench in the courtyard, waiting for her friend Clary to arrive. The two girls were in different houses, so they didn't have a common room to meet in. Not that it ever stopped them from being friends, especially when spring meant that the courtyard was a nice place to sit and catch up again!
Dani took the time to people-watch as she waited, keeping a keen eye on everyone walking by. Normally, on a weekend like this, they would've been on a Hogsmeade trip, but the Headmistress still hadn't lifted that rule. She'd heard from some of her more attached classmates that Valentine's Day just hadn't been the same without Madam Puddifoot's to go to, and from some of the more mischievous ones that it was getting hard to pull pranks without Zonko's for supplies.
She was trying to keep optimistic, though. Her friends were still around, and they had to be able to go back sometime. Clary was always full of ideas, and Dani hoped she'd come up with something for them to do today. It was Saturday, after all--not like she was going to do homework today!
It was spring! Clary was enjoying this season to the fullest and though it meant it was still a little cold, she wore a leather jacket and a t-shirt as she walked on the grounds to meet her friend. It was funny how Clary had been talking to all of her sister's roommates these days but she kept the ironic humor to herself as she slipped her hands into her pockets and walked to the courtyard to find Danica. These triplets were going to be the death of her sometime and the only person she hadn't really been hanging out with was the brother.
Then again she sort of saved Lydia's skin so did that make her a hero? With her bright yellow hair and a smile on her face she thought about being a hero and almost forgot that she was looking for Danica until she was only a few feet away from her. "Good springy day to you madam!" she greeted and took a small bow before spinning around on her heels. Clary looked around and back at the hufflepuff who seemed to be dressed for winter still. Clary was such a warmblooded person that the thought of wearing winter clothes already made her die inside.
"What is up! I am so excited for this thing called spring! Do you think there will be easter eggs to hunt?" she asked with a chuckle. "Gosh the sun is so bright, how are you? Have you been waiting long?" she asked as her fingers drummed on her thighs. "You know I saw bunnies the other day? Bunnies!"
