With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Sally was dying. She was convinced of it, a howl sound of pain escaping her lips as shoes, those hard and unforgiving leather school shoes, swung into her ribs and her back at full force yet again. It felt like a lifetime since she'd been blindsided, shoved down onto the harsh, cold stone floor with no chance to even defend herself and ever since then... they had been relentless - she'dhad no break from the pain, no opportunity to crawl and grab her wand they'd thrown two feet away.
But then suddenly, the sound of someone shouting, 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?' rippled through the halls, followed by a shit, 'shit, let's go' and the kicking stopped. It was over. A sob ripped through Sally's lips as she uncurled herself from the fetus position, trying to sit up but it just... hurt so bad. "Please, can you... can you help me?" she gritted out from where she laid on the floor. She hoped, prayed, that they would because she needed to get to the hospital wing as soon as possible.
It was one of those days where Felix was wandering about, trying to find a place to settle himself with some peace and quiet. Though he also kind of felt like checking up on his owl. He hadn't seen her in a while so there he was, heading for the owlery when he watched a girl get beaten up by shoes? What the hell was even happening?
Felix looked around and spotted bullies trying to beat up a little girl? "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" he shouted at them and rushed for them, ready to give them the beating of a lifetime. (not that he is strong but fuck if he lets a girl get bullied.)
Felix ran a hand through his hair as the bullies ran off and he rushed to the girl's side. "Don't worry I got you.." he said softly and sank down beside her. "What's your name?" he asked trying to distract her from the pain but her face said that she was suffering a lot already. "I'm Felix." he said and looked around. There was no way she could easily walk.
Felix also wasn't strong enough to carry her all the way to the hospital wing either. "What happened?"
A voice, calm and collected, rushed over her and Sally's arms finally dropped from the cage it had formed around her head, a protective barrier to make sure that at the very least... they couldn't get her face or skull, so they couldn't kick her hard enough that she ended up with injuries to her brain. The boy was asking her name, sharing that his was Felix and... she recognised it. Felix was in Liam's year, right? Choking back tears, Sally gave the boy a grimace. "Sally," she muttered. "Sally Jordan. I'm... I'm Liam's sister. You can't tell him though, he'd... he'd tell ma and da. I don't want them to know."
With all the strength she could muster, Sally just managed to raise herself so she was sitting, wincing all the while. Those arsewipes had done a number on her. She was going to be bruised to hell, and she just hoped that they hadn't broken anything. She had practices to go to which were important because she fully planned on kicking arse and taking names for the final Quidditch match up. "That's... I think one of them played against me in the last match. Didn't like that a second year beat him, called me a cheater. Like I'd fucking cheat anyway. I don't need to," she announced, brow furrowing with anger.
Liam's sister. Felix wasn't close to the guy, he never really felt like he should bother getting to know him because for a long time Felix lived in a bubble of ego and lack of need of friends. Only a few people broke the bubble and Liam was not one of them. If he would try to get to know the guy he might even be a good friend but for now Felix needed to take care of his sister, help her get to the nurse.
"I promise I won't tell your brother a single thing." he assured her as he reached his hand out to help her if she needed any support. Felix looked around in case anyone was still there, he didn't trust a single person at this point. Felix hated bullies and the pain they inflict on others, especially those who are younger than them.
"Quidditch can make people insane." he nodded and frowned. "I have seen you play, you're amazing." he said with a smile. The tiny beater who almost floored an entire team, that doesn't go unnoticed. "It's easier for them to blame you for cheating than themselves for sucking, they're stupid like that." he told her and frowned. "Can you try to get on your feet, use me as support."
The thing was that Sally only could trust Felix's promise so much - she didn't know him too well, nor did she know if he was a loud arse blabbermouth and if he was... well, she was screwed. It wasn't that she thought Liam would hunt down those who had attacked her - he was a big, scaredy badger in her eyes - but the thought of her parents finding out and thinking she couldn't fend for herself despite all the times she'd claimed she could... well, that would suck. She had a reputation to uphold. "Yeah, hope not, or I'll come find you and kick your ars - butt. I'll kick your butt seven ways to Sunday," Sally said, but her words came out a lot less threatening than she intended.
You're amazing. The validation hit Sally like a ton of bricks, and it was sorely needed when she was kicked down... both physically and mentally, like she was now. "I'm going to take those arse clowns to the cleaners next time I see them. If they think I cheated last time, way til I kick them right in the goods. That's me actually playing dirty," she declared with a grit of her teeth, before looking at Felix helplessly as he asked if she could get on her feet. She could barely sit, let alone walk. "Do... maybe you could get a prefect or something? One of the cooler ones though like..." Shit, were any of the prefects cool? Uh, not really, now that she thought about it. "Maybe you can yank me up by my hand? Just try not to dislocate my shoulder."
Felix was well aware that this girl had no reason to trust him to a certain point but she also didn't really have much of a choice. Felix was here because bullied beat the shit out of her and he wanted to take care of her, which was not easy with a loud mouth of a kid trying to test his motives. Even when she was a little hurt bird, she seemed to have quite the attitude, he could appreciate that. "Trust me, there is no reason for me to even converse with your brother." They weren't friends.
Felix arched his brow a little and thought about how to get her out of here. By the time he found a prefect she might pass out from the pain she is in and figured he had another idea. "Sit up a little okay.." he suggested and sighed. "You can ride my back, I can carry you to the castle that way." It wasn't going to be too bad, he was quite strong for his age and carrying girls on his back was the least heavy way of lifting a person in the first place. As long as she wasn't going to behave like a bag of potatoes that is.
"Besides I don't know many cool prefects, they're all kind of lame if you ask me." he told her hoping it would make her smile a little at least. God he didn't know anyone who would qualify as cool just like that. "I can carry you, just reached for my neck and try not to choke the life out of me." he said and lowered himself. "I think you can kick their butts though, you sound quite badass miss Jordan."
When Felix said he had no reason to converse with her brother, Sally was immediately narrowing her eyes because, "Why not? Don't you like him or something? I mean, he can be totally embarrassing and lame sometimes but he's not some douchebag. He... don't tell him, but sometimes he's kinda cool." She muttered the last bit, but it was her duty as a little sister to try and at least get her brother some awesome friends, like this guy appeared to be - not everyone would stop and help when you down for the count.
Sally let out a very loud groan as she lifted her hand in his direction, hoping that he got the hint and helped pull her into a sitting position. "You... if it turns out you have puny little muscles and you drop me, I'm telling Liam so he can tease you for the rest of the year," she said. Liam may not have been very... Quidditch-oriented, but he was strong. Sally used to force him to wrestle her when they were little - Leo too - and even back then, despite her using every single muscle in her little body, he always whooped her butt.
A small, albeit pained smile crossed her lips because yeah, all the prefects were lame. Sally especially hated that little prissy pureblood one from Gryffindor. Merlin knew she was an arse clown and Sally fully intended to tell her as such if she ever got into trouble off the girl. Reaching up, Sally wrapped her hands around Felix's neck, before snorting. "Don't call me miss anything. It's so formal, like we're in class. It's just Sally."
