With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

history
There was no fuzzy welcoming into the world for Leander Evan Laurent. His mother, Samantha, had a one-night-stand with a French Pureblood named Frederick Laurent and he was the product of their lust. Frederick's family would never have approved of his dealing with a Muggle-born witch, so he promised that as long as she stayed away and went back to Britain, he would send money to her and Leander for their 'troubles' as he put it.
Nine-year-old Leander sat on his bed in his room, leaning against his headboard as he read the letter in front of him from someone he'd never met. The love, dad at the bottom of the parchment felt ingenuine, yet it was there plainly just like the money that had been included in the envelope. Leander couldn't be bought, though. The absence of his father couldn't be replaced by something materialistic like money. The slam of the front door startled him into shoving the letter and its contents under his blanket. Samantha walked into his room and Leander watched as a man passed through the house behind her - like she was hiding his existence. "Do you have enough for dinner?" she asked. Leander nodded then listened as his mother's giggles trailed down the hallway.
Hogwarts was a safe haven for the intelligent boy. He found comfort in being sorted into Ravenclaw and making friends. Through his younger years, Leander transformed from the soft, quiet child he'd been suppressed into being and blossomed into a silly, friendly kid. All he had went into his friends and studies. He made top marks, determined to do so to not make his parents proud, but himself. In his fourth year, Leander found his love for Quidditch, but was wary of playing the sport because he doesn't feel he is athletic enough. That said, he tried out for the team and made it, giving him access to even greater friendships and something to keep his mind off of the negativity in his life. He has reached out to his father multiple times to see if he would move to Britain and let him live with him, but his father never answers his questions. Leander's letters from his father have gotten scarce despite his continuous flow of funds from him. Leander is at a loss for what life holds for him, though he desires to become a Potions Master, then eventually get married and have kids of his own so he can finally have a place where he belongs and people that love him. Leander's gullible personality and will for people to treat him different than his parents has led him to some heartbreak as he wears his heart on his sleeve, so life can be painful at times.

Did his parents actually think Brendan would go to the anniversary of two Purebloods that he didn't care about? Well, they expected it. And although Brendan kept his distance from his parents and stay at his own home, he had recently begun to be around them a little more due to his abundance of free time. That, and he liked Harriet, their house-elf, and her meals. When his father expressed that Brendan was to go to the Selwyn home that evening, Brendan knew his appetite would go unfilfilled. At least, if they only served fancy courses. Brendan sighed and agreed.
He went up to his old room where his mother had laid out a nice, light-gray top, black slacks and black shoes with gray trim. It was unlike him to dress in such a way; it directly went against his obvious tattoos and uncaring demeanor. But, there was no way he could really show up in the ripped jeans and t-shirt he currently wore; his mother would kill him for it. Brendan regrettably changed and spritzed some cologne he'd left behind in his old dresser. As he looked around the room, he was reminded of how much his mother missed him. That much was clear. She'd left his room untouched ever since he moved out. While his father had pressed they would turn the room into a second study or gift the room to Harriet to get her on the other side of their manor, there it was: his room in all its glory. It was paraded in his Hogwarts alumni banners and decorum, things that he hadn't felt like he should take into his new home; at least, until he was rid of his roommates and had an office of his own, in his own home, where he didn't have to worry about them being destroyed.
Brendan slicked his hair back then headed back down the stairs, rolling his eyes as his mother fawned over him. "Okay, okay - I've got to get going if you want me to do this thing. I'll be back later tonight and just crash in my room so I can get my stuff," he said before fleeing into the night.
Upon entering the Selwyn home, Brendan immediately wondered why his parents hadn't accompanied him. Clearly this was the type of event that they would attend, and yet they had stayed behind. Truth be told he hadn't asked if they were all going together, so maybe they would show their faces later. Mum always did take forever to get ready. Brendan moved forward into the home, taking a glass from a nearby table and immediately throwing it back. His eyes searched for a familiar face. While he didn't know anyone there comfortably, he knew of them. How couldn't he? He was forced to join their little games his whole life. Those around him, while he remained distant from, practically knew about his whole life. That was the Pureblood way, unfortunately. His mother bragged about him to other families, just as those families did about their own children, and that was where the gossip would come to fruition. He was used to it, but it was partly why he was so adamant about separating his life from the one he'd grown up with.
He found comfort in a corner of the room, away from prying eyes. Drink in his hand, Brendan continued looking around casually, wondering if the ever-pleasant Michael Selwyn was among the crowd. While the two weren't particularly friends, at least they grew up in the same confidence and had similar experiences. If anyone would understand his discomfort with this formal occasion, it'd be Michael.
