With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!

Just as Grace got into 'oh gosh, I really, really shouldn't have spoken up, this is going to go terribly' mode, she felt an arm wrap around her shoulder and she looked up to see her brother. Immediately, she knew that even if Willy did come at her, Arthur would be there to have her back which sent a flood of relief through her body. "That's... that's a lot of swearing, don't you think?" she murmured, before blinking at Arthur because, "You're not planning on drinking it, right? Because I know you're of age now which... which is lovely but I really don't think you should be drinking during class because you could get kicked out and then you'll never get your NEWTs and wouldn't that just be absolutely dreadful?" Her rush of words over and done with, Grace's attention turned back to Willy.
Of course, Willy didn't listen to a word she ended up saying. She'd hoped he would have at least considered what she'd said, but... it appeared her words had little to no effect. At least she didn't end up being on the receiving end of the tongue lashing he gave Morgan, Ryker and Professor Tyrell however, and she felt awful for all three of them as she heard the words fall from his lips like bile.
What was Morgan supposed to suck? Ryker? Where? That was a strange instruction, and the girl didn't have a single ounce of 'fat' on her. "What's a chubby chaser?" Grace murmured to Arthur at Willy's declaration, before frowning. Grace often envied the girl and what she wore. If only she had that body, and that sort of confidence about herself... but she'd look like a sausage stuffed in a too small casing if she'd ever dared to wear something as skin tight as the clothing Ryker usually wore.
Grace couldn't help but grimace as Willy turned his attention onto Morgan and her family next because it was tragic and the views he apparently held towards werewolves? It was enough to make her squirm with discomfort because it was not true. Not at all. Werewolves didn't screw everything up for everyone else, at least the majority didn't, and it was awful to see that people were so blind with hatred that they thought that.
Watching Willy leave, calling them all basic... b-words, Grace was quiet for a moment. She didn't want to upset anyone further, but she couldn't just leave things alone. "I always thought Dallas was lovely when... when he came to school," she said softly, as she turned to Morgan, then addressed Ryker. "You... he shouldn't have said those things. You're... you're lovely too. You both are. It's so nice to see the two of you so happy together."
Word vomit over, Grace moved over to sit back down next to Emilian, once again chewing at her bottom lip. She wanted to get back to learn about the Age Up potion because it was something she needed to know for her NEWTs, for when she hopefully went on to do her healer traineeship, and so she raised her hand. "Are... are we still pairing up today, Professor?"

Was anyone truly surprised that the class went downhill fast, with a snake clearly on his rags? Last time Aiden had intervened though, he’d gotten thrown out of class. To hell with any of his classmates or the teachers except for a select one or two. Maybe three, if Aiden was feeling particularly generous. A glance in the direction of a certain person told him that he wasn’t. He needn’t be. Aiden’s bushy brows raised intently as he registered Grace’s soft voice. He’d given her that back bone. He’d be proud if he weren’t so annoyed that class was disrupted again.
”Grazie Dio che tutti questi pagliacci si laureano quest’ anno,” Aiden said under his breath to his twin. The pair simply tuned out the circus and began measuring out their ingredients. This is what happens when vino is restricted. Brits and their rebel bullshit.
The rat looking boy had to continue his rampage like a toddler not getting the candy he was promised. His way of drinking the horrible wine meant for teaching only seemed like he was dealing with a lot of shit and lashing out. Did Ariella care? Not one bit. The boy seemed hell bent to make this class a disaster and as he spoke, bringing her family into this, using her name rather than the respected professor title, respected by no one it seemed, just made her roll her eyes. The day a child had power over her was the day Ariella would probably do the world a favor and kill them all.
As he kept stating her teaching method to be anything but useful, Ariella just waited for the child to be done with his tantrum and actually leave. A girl got up, making Ariella raise her eyebrow as it was the hufflepuff looking like she could any moment burst into flames with how nervous she seemed and told the boy to leave. Who named the guy Willy in the first place? Was it meant to be compensation? Ariella just had her arms crossed over her chest casually and stood in silence until he was actually gone, multiple students having told him so.
Once the boy was out the door she reached for some papers and cocked her head to the side, silence had fallen aside from some whispering here and there. "That is another fifty points from Slytherin." she said, the first words she had spoken since the silence had fallen. "Ten points for Hufflepuff and five points returned to Slytherin because of miss Selwyn." she said and put the papers down.
"Now if anyone else has a problem with me or my class, feel free to get up and leave peacefully. If not, pair up indeed and start working on the potion." she said as she motioned her hand to the ingredients cabinet. "Please one by one get your wine." Ariella's tone was calm though fire was in her eyes. She was livid and she knew her brother was too. "As miss Selwyn said, the aging potion can be used for many purposes though often found to be used for illegal ones."
Ariella looked at each of them with a small frown on her face. "For some of you this is your final year which means that even when the potions don't sound fancy or advanced, one wrong drop.." she started moving towards the tables. "One sip too much.." she continued. "Is lethal." the last words almost spoken in a whisper. "Drinking too much aging potion, please write this down somewhere if you don't think you'll remember, will turn you old enough to kill you." she said and shook her head.
"I'll supervise as you all start working on the potion, any questions just raise your hand not your wand and I will come to your aid." she said and with that she went back to her desk and sat down. No words were spoken from her about Wagtail, his existence to her faint thought now because whether she liked it or not she was responsible for these children and without her they wouldn't pass either.
Ryker was a very proud woman when it came to her body and being called fat just was the weakest and worst insult this guy could come up with. She was sure he knew better ones but was just too damn braindead to come up with some. She flipped her dark curls as a fuck off you demented asshole and turned her attention to Grace. The girl seemed to really desire for people to get along and she somehow felt the need to compliment Ryker like it was her responsibility.
"Thank you sweetheart, that's very kind of you." She said with a smile and a wink before turning to Morgan, Ozzy and her brother. "Guys just calm down.. he is just an angry idiot.." she said hoping none of them would flip the fuck out anytime soon. Ryker got up and went to get the wine to start on the potion, her movements elegant and proud like usual. He didn't even hurt an inch of her feelings or ego.
Elijah was thankful that his sister had looked at Oswald, apparently stopping him from doing something entirely stupid. Last thing they needed was a duel in the middle of the Potions classroom, knowing damn well that there’s several breakable items in this classroom and he didn’t want to get into trouble with Professor Tyrell. Instead, he had sat back and watch the shit go down, and he was about to write down what was needed for the potion they were making before he had heard William body shame his sister. He stopped his hand movements, feeling his cheeks turn red from the sudden rage but he stared ahead to try to not flip out.
Thankfully the Slytherin scumbag left the classroom and he had leaned back, letting out a sigh. He’ll check on his sister later, but for now, he wanted to get this class over with.
The moment William had told her to suck something, she had to clench her fist at her side before she lashed out at the male. He wasn’t making this easier for himself, and she was putting a large target on his back. The redhead had continued to stand there, looking at the male as he went off on her and brought up Dallas, making her grab onto the table beside her because she did not want to show that side of her. The Reid’s all had tempers, not just Dallas.
The moment he had left, Morgan sat back down and stared ahead as she tried to calm herself down. ”Remind me to not attempt to have Ozzy smother him in his sleep.” she had said in a low tone at Elijah. She was sure Ozzy would do that on his own.
Morgan had glanced over at her girlfriend with a frown and then at Grace. ”Thank you, Grace.” she said while letting out a breath.

Both Ryker and Morgan thanked Grace and after standing there awkwardly for a moment, wringing her hands, Grace just replied with a soft, "You're welcome" before leaving them be. As much as she wanted to help them feel better after the cutting words from Willy... they had one another for that. They didn't need her.
Turning to Emilian from her seat, Grace asked the mysterious Ravenclaw, "Would... would you like to pair up for... for the potion?" She didn't know him very well, and asking someone for the first time if they'd like to be partners was quite daunting. If Arthur wasn't across the room by now, she'd have asked him instead but... he probably had his own seventh year friends to pair up with and she didn't want to be a bother. "Shall... shall I grab the wine, or... do you think we're making a potion each or one potion together?"
Cooper had been looking forward to be back in a class that he felt had valued his skills enough. Even if he did not care much for the Professor in that class. Then again there no lie that the professor had been relativity attractive. He couldn't mind a professor who had been giving him a challenge, so he entered the class and when he entered the class. The Slytherin had went to take a seat, and he had began taking notes of the Potion Ingredients on the board, and he rolled his eyes at the stupidity of Wagtail, and he let out a scoff.
The Slytherin hated losing house points, and when he lost them fifty more. "You got to be fucking kidding me." he said to himself, as he sat back. He was definitely going to let them know his anger, he hated losing house points. Even though he had his fair share of taking points from his housemates. When William finally left, the Slytherin got annoyed. The five points Vinda got wasn't doing them any justice, and he decided to look at the professor. "Is it too late to apoglize for Wagtails, rudenesss?" he asked with curiousity, before giving a glare to the rest of his housemates here.
He wouldn't hesitiate taking points from the next one who wanted to fuck things up for them. He sat back, and he thought it couldn't hurt to thank Vinda. "You know Selywn, I should thank you for getting us points. Even if that isn't doing us much justice right now is it, that Wagtail lost us seventy points, now is it?" he whispered. The Slytherin had too much going on in his life, and when he sat back waiting for stuff. He listened in on Ryker's comment, he looked. "As angry as he may be. He just lost us seventy points, and it's a shock it was us too lose points, first." he said with a smirk.
Before going back, he turned to someone, and he said. "Care to be partners?"

Ariella was quite relieved as some of them actually started working. By god she wanted to just kill someone right now and it was very hard to not commit to those urges right about now. With a frown she watched Mr. Narro ask for apologies. "The subject is no longer a discussion, move on and get to work Mr. Narro." she told him and shook her head. She wasn't going to give into these children. They weren't going to get to her and make her regret even taking this job.
Whether they liked it or not, they needed her. She was one of the best out there and she knew it. They knew it. Honestly this subject has never really had caring professors, back when she was in school hers was the worst person out there with barely any knowledge of the subject. With a small nod at Grace she sighed. "Yes Miss Longbottom." she said shortly and motioned to the cabinet where students could gather their wine from.
"Be careful with the instructions please. You know the dangers of these potions. Wear your gloves at all times." she reminded them and sat down at her desk.

When Professor Tyrell answered her question in that tone after sighing at her, Grace's brow furrowed. Had she done something wrong? All she'd done was ask if... if they were still working in pairs, trying to move the class along. It was confusing, but after putting the cauldron on, Grace said to Emilian in a soft voice, "I'll go grab the wine and prune juice then, if you want to keep an eye on the cauldron."
Standing up, Grace moved over to go and grab all of the ingredients they needed from the cabinet - red wine, prune juice, hairy fungus, crushed tortoise shell, caterpillars and bat tongues. Then she came back to the table, attempting to make small talk with Emilian as she poured the red wine and prune juice in so he could start sitting it. "Do you... do you like wine too?" she asked, before wondering if maybe that wasn't the best question considering what had just happened.
