With the capture of Verandi Farley and several high-ranking Trossach members, the British wizarding world has finally caught a break. The rate of rogue werewolf attacks have started dropping at a steady rate and, hopefully, things will stay that way. The Ministry is starting to loosen some restrictions, like not arresting werewolves standing on the street for loitering, however there’s still an obvious power imbalance between wizardfolk and werewolves.
The Cotswolds pack are continuing to advocate for the rights of werewolves and petitioning to change the legislation that has been set in motion by the current Minister for Magic, whilst the remaining Trossachs members are trying to stay out of the spotlight and keep a low profile… for now.
Whilst the British wizarding world seems to have calmed down, the same cannot be said for over in Northern Europe where a rebellion of magical creatures has risen. The state of things has gotten so bad that the European Ministry has enacted protocols to protect those under eighteen whilst their adult witches and wizards fight to keep control of their countries.
Students from Durmstrang have been sent to Hogwarts to keep them safe and those not old enough to attend school have been sent to live with relatives or designated British Ministry officials outside of Europe for the time being.
Will the low rates of werewolf attacks in Britain continue? How long will Durmstrang students stay at Hogwarts? Will the creatures usurp the wizardfolk in Northern Europe? Only time will tell.
SEPTEMBER 2019 It's been a very long, eventful summer in the wizarding world. A baby was stolen, several high ranking Trossach members were imprisoned, and werewolf attacks have drastically dropped as a result. What will happen now school has returned?
MAY 2019 An attempt to capture the beta of the Trossachs has been launched. Were the Aurors successful in their mission? Go read more here!
Charms was always one of those subjects that Grace struggled with more than others and as she sat in a more hidden corner of the library, waving her wand about, Grace could say with certainty that today the incantation they'd been learning in class wasn't coming naturally.
She'd tried to cast this spell five times. Five... and she still didn't get it. This was just... a mess, and she needed a break. Placing her wand down with the tiniest bit more force than necessary, Grace watched with a frown as her wand promptly rolled over off the table and onto the ground... why?
Letting out a tiny sigh, Grace stood up, brushed off her skirt, and bent down to grab her wand off the floor.

What could possibly be more fun than some library activities in utter silence, using the charm to cover up the noises people would make. Mavican was a demanding one, she would get what she wants eventually. The girl pushed the guy away with her foot and yawned. "Mmm its like a cat is trying to wash me."
Mavican fixed her outfit and walked off, not removing his charm. She liked silence from this guy at least. Maybe she'd make a girl scream later. The brunette walked down the library and noticed a cute struggling little puff just desperate for help and well, Mavican did like to help.
Right?
She headed over to Grace licking her lips as she stood behind her. "Mmmm.. easy where you poke that wand lass, you might poke me somewhere not so nice." she said and was very tempted to smack her ass.
Grace had only just retrieved her wand and stood up when suddenly, a voice looming behind her made her shriek in surprise. Whirling around with wide eyes, Grace was relieved to find that it was Mavican who gave her such a big fright... and not some big, bad troll.
When the girl told her to be careful where she poked her wand, Grace merely blinked at her in confusion, the innuendo going completely over her head for a moment. Then after glancing down at her wand, she raised her head and hastily reassured Mavican, "Oh, don't worry! I won't poke you in the eye or anything. I might be clumsy but I haven't accidentally poked someone and hurt them yet!"

Mavican had her lips curled up into a smile as she looked at the confused and flustered little Hufflepuff. Her name had escaped her mind and Mavican wasn't even sure if they had an encounter before in a different fashion than this. The brunette was thinking about it but the girl and her wand broke the thoughts.
"Mmm you can poke me anytime.. have we slept together? I can not recall your name I'm afraid." the Irish girl admitted, it bugged her.
"Are you the girl with the chocolate fetish? Or the shower one?" Mavican was feeling like a fool now and she did not like that very much but she also didn't think this girl was even capable of having slept with her.
Mavican cocked her head with a hum. "Your tongue action could use some work.."
"Oh, no. I wouldn't want to hurt you," Grace insisted very sincerely as Mavican told her that she could 'poke' her. She couldn't imagine it would be very pleasant, someone coming over and prodding her. Who would like that?
At Mavican's question of whether they'd slept together, Grace blinked owlishly at the girl once more. "I... I don't think we've ever shared a dorm? Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws are in separate dorms - which, I mean, you probably... definitely know that, but I don't think we've ever had an interhouse sleepover or slept over at the same house or anything."
A chocolate... fetish? "Well, I wouldn't call it a fetish. I do like chocolate... sometimes a bit much, probably. When I'm feeling really daring, I'll have two rows instead of one," Grace said, lowering her voice as she spoke as though it was a secret she was sharing. Then Mavican was asking if she was the shower one and Grace's eyes widened. Was she saying Grace smelled or something? "Well... I... I do shower? Every night and morning. Um..."
At this point in the conversation, Grace was lost. What did her tongue have to do with anything? Unless... "Oh, I thought I spoke quite clearly! My mum always told me growing up not to mumble... I'm not mumbling, right? She wouldn't be too happy if I was!"

It was like trying to convince the sugar plum fairy to commit a sinful act. This girl was so sweet it made her teeth hurt a slight bit. Oh dear lord, was she ever going to understand? This girl needed protection from men for sure, especially with this attitude.
"I didn't mean it like that but that large answer means a definite no." probably ever. Mavican was slightly turned off but she always found a way to find her on switch again.
The brunette raised a brow and rolled her eyes. "Sweetie to use this spell you gotta roll your tongue like you wanna lick something sweet.. or salty." Mavican winked as she said the last words before taking out her own wand and putting it on the table.
When Mavican said that no, she didn't mean it like that, Grace's confusion only increased tenfold because what had she meant if not like that? Strange. "Oh... yes, okay. I... sorry?" she said, not sure what else she could say. "We can have a sleepover one day though?"
"Roll my... my tongue?" she repeated, blinking. It was clear by the way she spoke that Grace had absolutely zero clue on how to do that. "How... I don't usually roll my tongue when I lick something though, I just lick it."
"Oh, I... well, you see, I didn't want to bother my friends by asking them for help because I'm sure they've got a lot of better things to do than help silly ol' me, you know? Like... like, uh... play Quidditch or something?" Grace said, sounding very unsure of herself. But not only that, she also didn't want her friends to witness how bad she was at producing spells - they already saw it in class, they didn't need to be exposed to it outside of class. "Why are you here by yourself? I mean, if... you don't have to answer that if you don't want to, I just... I was just wondering."

Mavican never thought she would be talking to someone so... innocent. Did this girl even know what sex was? Mavican surely needed to educate if not protect this girl from stupid people in this school. Mavican eyebrow was slightly arched when she asked about her tongue.
"You need to roll the words lass, try an Irish accent but don't insult me when doing so and let the word roll off your tongue." she answered with a slight chuckle.
"But don't mind me taking you up on the sleepover offer.." Mavican licked her lips and groaned a bit quietly, yep she felt just fine. "Mmm I play quidditch but yet I'm here aren't I?" she then actually didn't expect her question to backfire.
"I was actually teaching someone else how to use their tongue properly, rest assured they weren't good at it at all." She sounded a bit annoyed because Mavican had needs and this boy was hot but useless and making sure her needs were met.
"Oh, no. I can't - I mean, I don't want to offend you by... I'm really bad at accents," Grace rushed out, trying to dissuade Mavican from encouraging her to do an Irish accent. She'd surely make a fool of herself is she even tried.
"We can have marshmallows and read girly magazines and stuff," Grace said, breaking into a smile as Mavican agreed to a sleepover. It'd be fun! Maybe they could invite Faith too. She'd be down for a sleepover, that she was sure of... all they needed was a Slytherin girl to join them then they'd have all four houses.
"They could be doing something else... or... or maybe it's just Gryffindors turn to practice on the field, I'm not sure," Grace suggested uncertainly. She was more of a watcher when it came to Quidditch. She was petrified of getting on a broom again. Not after she'd hurt herself when she was little riding one... that incident had scared her off for life.
"Oh, were they really bad at doing an Irish accent too?" Grace asked, frowning. Mavican sounded a bit ticked off about it... so maybe it was a good thing Grace had passed on the suggestion of herself attempting to put on an Irish accent. She certainly wouldn't like anyone to be mad at her!"
"Oh... oh, that's lovely. It's just, um. Well. It was the colour changing charm we learnt in class. Colovaria. I was trying to change my book from brown to blue but it's just not working," Grace explained to Mavican, frowning. It was frustrating because try as she may, the spell just wouldn't work.

Innocent girls were just so... deliciously frustrating. Mavican would eat this girl alive and enjoy it but she could imagine the thought of Grace doing what Mavican has in mind would terrify her bones. Mavican had a smirk on her face, almost hungry for more time with Grace and the thought of a sleepover.. god it was hard to resist.
"It's a date." she then spun around on her heels, walking slowly around Grace, licking her lips as she definitely sized her up. "Mmm no he didn't, but let's not talk about men and how incompetent they are when it comes to pleasing me shall we?" she then took Grace's hand that was holding onto the wand, carefully pressing herself against her from behind.
"Like I said.. it's all in the tongue." she whispered and made a movement hoping Grace wouldn't get her hand all stiff as Mavican aimed for the book.
"Now close your eyes.. and say the word.. let it roll off your tongue and move your hand like this.." she whispered closely to Grace's ear.
As Mavican circled around Grace, much like a tiger circling her prey, Grace shuffled uncomfortably because it felt like the girl was trying to... to size her up for a fight or something. Merlin, she wasn't going to fight her, was she? Because Grace didn't even know how to throw a punch or anything. She'd be useless in a fight, and end up crying on the ground immediately.
"A... oh, a... well, not a date. I mean, it's not like we're going to Madam Puddifoots or anything," Grace said, nervously laughing as she reached up to twist a lock of her blonde hair. It was a relief that Mavican didn't want to fight her though, apparently. Though Mavican's next words had Grace confused all over again. Incompetent at pleasing her? Did he not use his manners or something? "Maybe he should... did you want him to bring you flowers or something? Um..."
All of a sudden, Mavican was moving behind Grace, as close as close could be, and Grace couldn't breathe because this was... not how close her friends usually stood and Mavican was whispering and it made Grace's entire body tingle, not unpleasantly. It was different though. "I... I... okay," Grace said, voice barely a whisper as she tried to cast the spell, voice weak as she said 'colovaria!" It didn't work however and Grace frowned.
Closing her eyes as Mavican instructed, Grace tried her best to relax - although it was definitely difficult with the girl all pressed against her - and tried to cast the spell once more, rolling her tongue and imitating the hand movement Mavican had shown her. When she opened her eyes, she was completely surprised to find that... the book was blue!
Immediately, all thoughts of Grace being uncomfortable were discarded, and Grace whirled around with a great big smile. "It worked!" she said, looking up at Mavican sincerely. "Thank you! You're such a good instructor. I'm so... well, I'm just really not... not great the spells. The, y'know, the casting them. It's just... not my strong suit."

It seemed like the simpelest touch would make Grace fall from grace. The pun amused Mavican a little as she just watched the girl. She seemed so innocent in ways no sixteen year old really seemed to be, a rare occurance that Mavican slightly envied.
The girl was never innocent, not even as a child below the age of 10. Mavican ran a hand through her hair as she backed away after Grace managed to do the spell. The brunette let out a small sigh and smiled.
"Mmm you will do just fine." she said and smiled a bit as she eyed Grace. "Let's get a drink shall we?" she offered as she eyed the blue book. "Next time you need help I'm here for you if you want." Mavican didn't have many friends and she could always use some.
The compliment Mavican paid Grace had the girl smiling all over again. "You're a good teacher," she told the girl, tucking some of her hair behind her ear.
When Mavican suggested that perhaps they could grab a drink sometime, Grace nodded enthusiastically. "Do you like tea? I know Madam Puddi - well, that's a bit romantic... um, The Leaky Cauldron does tea? But also the house elves in the kitchen are very helpful, so if we asked they could possibly make us a cuppa sometime toon. They're so lovely. Or we could just sit together at breakfast but, I mean, we don't have to but it's just an idea in case you ever wanted to... which you don't have to. I just, um... thought it was another option." "Oh, I would love that. If me asking for help isn't too much of a bother, that is," Grace told Mavican, biting her bottom lip. She'd hate to be a nuisance by constantly asking the Ravenclaw girl to lend her a hand.

Mavican was often seen as a simple slut who didn't show her intelligence off like many of her housemates but honestly she was a smart one just like every single one of them in her own way. She used body language because she believed that to achieve things in life, her body matters as much as her brain.
The brunette nodded with a slight smile on her face and though the girl started to ramble, it was really adorable to look at. "Alright cutie, let's stop the rambling and assume I don't want to go to a fancy teashop but I'd love to join you for breakfast or tea or whatever you fancy. Lead the way." she spoke and leaned in to kiss her jaw before stepping back and let Grace take the lead.
"Don't forget your book." she pointed out and took her bag from the floor.
"Okay, okay..." Grace said, letting out a little sigh of relief as Mavican said that she'd join Grace for a beverage at a place that wasn't the teashop. Grace wanted to save that particular place for a first date instead maybe.
The relief Grace had felt was only short-lived though because Mavican kissed Grace's cheek out of the blue a minute later, and immediately Grace's cheeks were scorched red again. That was rather... forward.
Grabbing her book and her bag, Grace made sure she had all of her stuff before leading the way to the Great Hall for maybe a cup of tea or two,.
